Hmmm, I have one item from that category and while it shows $3.52 in that category, in my cart it is showing $7.99 right now.
Some of the "Related Madness" have some good discounts, like Sloshwerks or Slide3D, once you manage to buying via Newly Mad.
It's because the 'Mad Artist Grab Bag' offer is making the first two items in your cart priced at $7.99 with a Newly Mad / Still Mad in your cart.
https://www.daz3d.com/march-madness-2026#todays_special
Without the bugged discount applied to them, at least some bundles would still be over $7.99 even accounting for the stars discount, the tokens, and the 50% discount provided by Newly mad.
You are right. That item I had selected from the PA's folders and decided to finally buy as it had been on my wishlist forever. I did add one of Linday's hair from that selection that I realized I could use. I may have to remove both items now.
If you prefer to wait and if you have the budget for a cart with a newly mad and two items at 7.99 and two items you want costing more than 7.99, the problem (which is not the two first items being at 7.99 but the discounts being way too high) will likely go away once someone at Daz understand why discounts from the week-end are still active today.
Otherwise, maybe they will still be there tomorrow (I'm not sure Linday will still be a featured artist though, but I don't remember how long someone is one after a new release) but they should be part of the next catch up sale of March Madness (I suppose there will be at least one before March Madness ends).
I removed them, added Feng's tree bundle that I had passed over for the pass few days, so actually my cart is more than it was. I think I am going to let it sit, let DAZ come into work at 9 am MDT and see what happens. I am at a saturation point of being 'shopped out'. Too busy managing content bought to be able to use and enjoy it from the past few months. Linday produces enough new items that their products come on sale frequently enough that I don't feel pressure to buy now.
I'm almost glad I'm out of store credit so I miss this madness. I'd hoped for a Gift Card sale over the weekend but it didn't happen. For me it needs to be one without a buy-in because there has been zero New Releases I want for over a week now ;-(
I have skipped all of the Shooting Stars and the free characters from the weekend Daz 6am to noon deals, more because I didn't care for the morphs or styles than the lack of new skins. Other than that, I am very happy with MM2026/Easter.
I've gotten since April 1:
Kisune Fox; Balloon Dog & (paid) poses; 20 plants/flowers; PAN Loft; Rattan Dreams; Bend of the River; XI Fantasy Street, Tailgate Party bundle, & Underwater Cave; Venue Prop Set (I can make a garden around the gazebo!); Sea Queen outfit; Llamaghini Galopngo; 6 Bunny & 1 Kitty outfit; Bunny Hair G9; Star Explorers Jumpsuit & Gogo Dress Filatoon add-ons; Raw Deals Moaimir & Ferro; TF Playground; Manticore G8.1M; Pip the Chick; Halfway up the Mountain; Ivar 9, Freja 8 Viking Maiden, & Neanderthal 9 bundles; Neanderthal 9, Snow Queen 9, & Sylvia 9 add-on bundles; Garden Spider; Tara 9 Red Succubus; & 8 Friday biweekly freebies.
Let's see, that's 56 individual models & 7 bundles, some of which I already owned an
This so very perfectly captures the feeling. Thank you for providing the turn of phrase my brain was refusing to spit out.
Just for giggles I did a test cart by throwing in random stuff, and after overcoming the strange $7.99 buy-ins, the more items added to cart the more the average discount drifted toward about 97%. By the time the cart reached $80, the prices were already better than most of March Madness. Alas no budget, and no time to sift items. (And the glitch has now been unglitched, which is probably for the better.)
One thing I have learned in buying from Daz is that when you see prices that seem too good to be true, don't wait, just grab them right away. I got some incredible bargains early this morning, first by adding in one Newly Mad release and then a whole bunch of Artist items and Related items that were close to 90% off (after my gold star and 8 tokens). I then found that some of the Artist items changed from their super low price to $7.99, so I took them out of the cart and made a separate purchase of just those items without a Newly Mad item, which made them much cheaper than $7.99. I see now that all the prices have gone back to normal discounts, so I am glad I acted quickly.
I see some have commented on this already but I'm still baffled about how this Mad Artist Grab supposed deal is supposed to be a good thing. Considering Mad Artist stuff already has discounts, you get an extra 50% when buying Newly or Still New releases and it doesn't apply to bundles, I've found it extremely rare to find any product that isn't actually cheaper without that "deal", even more if you also have tokens which don't stack with the 7.99 price. Other than Feng's FN Odyssey Mansion and a couple of things from RawArt that for some reason are full priced, despite being in the Mad Artist list, I don't see anything that would benefit from that.
The most annoying thing is that it's a forced "deal". Like, ok, sure, maybe it's not for me and somehow actually good for others, but then if I want to buy a newly release and some cheaper Mad Artist stuff it's making it way more expensive for me. That "deal" should be using a coupon. I feel like someone missed doing the math on that sale.
I WAS going to get a couple bundles off my WL. I should have checked out this morning but had to get to work. At the time, my DO coupon would have covered the price, but not after it was fixed. Oh well, not like I didn't get lots of goodies, many of them free, over the weekend.
Sometimes it seems we have revolving prices on the same items.
And sometimes the same items are on a reduced price.... Only the name of the sale changes
Maybe the intent was to limit double tokens prior to the final weeks of the sale. The choice is between two Artist Stores items steeply priced at $7.99 each, or shop without the 50% extra discount on Artist Stores by not carting a Newly Mad, both which incentivise waiting for a better deal.
Today was nearly a total wash for me. I'll just pick up the Daz+ items I like and call it a day. (I suppose I already own the three bundling items as it the section is blank.)
You can always open a private mode windows to see them, but yes, if nothing is visible, you have them already.
So I'm expected to buy a New Release I don't want, to get a discount on Best-of Bundling items I don't want (and which have been significantly cheaper before), to get a 10% Gift Card discount?
And Daz expects to get a sale from that?
I think I'll just let my Stars and Tokens quietly expire as there is nothing here for me anymore.
I can't wrap my head around the bundling offer. Those are 3 completely different items which means likely less incentive for anyone to want all three. I already have MSO Fate, and I could be tempted to get pose fusion for the $3 plus a new release (since they don't limit those to New Mad only), but I'd have to buy the outfit too in which I had no interest at all. I could see how the offer could be more enticing if it was 3 of the same: three contemporary outfits, three dogs, three fantasy settings, or something like that.
I was expecting more than one bundle when I saw the "best of bundling" sale email.
Well, at least you see something. It's a big ol' empty void for me as I own all three items already. That said, even though the three -products selected are all good products for those who don't have them, the idea of running a "big" promotion and only having three options only goes to show just how little thought and care seems to have been put into this entire MM. It's bad enough that almost every daily ad has had at least one code or discounting deal that hasn't worked, but endlessly repetitive nature of the $2.99 figures with a disproportionate fixation on little people and scary bug eyed toon types (and scary little toon people with bug eyes), the multiple Featured artist stores that never had ANYTHING since the featured PAs haven't been selling at DAZ long enough to even have products old enough to fit in the FA sale's apparent "nothing released later than 2024" policy, that same policy also meaning that the artist who have been here that long have never had anything new in their featured artist selections, the neverchanging collection of the same "door prize" product selections day after day after endless day, and the fact hat they seem to be unaware that the dictionary definition of the term "Door Prize" refers to something that is free rather than something you have to pay for, all combine to make me wonder if there are any human minds planning these sales at all or it is being generated by a badly programmed AI.
I saw nothing. I already owned all three. And I'm unsure how those three items are "best" collectively. I've complained about the bug-eyed toons. I've complained that they're just the same thing over and over.
And the fact that the sales, which are basically just variations on four or five frameworks, don't have "push a button" infrastructure by now is crazy.
No, Daz is making an offer which they hope will be attractive to some users (people who want one of the new releases or who are on the fence but woulkd find the overall offer of new release and other iems attarctive). If you don't want the items on offer, or not enough to justify the price, then you are certainly not expected (or even hoped) to buy anyway.
..well Tuesday was both disappointing and a bit surprising at the same time This week's new D+ releases are a G9 human character and set of poses - ho hum. At least the two freebie releases weren't (people may be "meh" about more plants but I find them awfully useful for filling out scenes).
On the bright side Quick Grab was something of a treasure trove for once. Usually I glance through it and move on but this week there was an item on my wishlist, a props add on for a set I have, and a few other interesting and useful things that caught my eye. Made it wasy to get a good haul and two more tokens for not a lot of scratch.
it only gets better as today (Wednesday) is Power Token Day (and I actually have a bunch of Tokens). The only thing better would be if it applied to the wishlist as well as I could clear a couple big items off of it, but hey, it's a way to get a bit of a better discount without needing a buy in,
Well off to bed, will look around after I get up in a few hours.
Grateful as I am for what I got, I am OD'd on MM26. All those extra tokens Monday & Tuesday didn't tempt me, mostly because there are few things in my WL that are on sale. Also, tokens aren't as much of a motivation for me as they are are for some others. (I'm more of an "If I have a couple it's a nice little extra discount" type.)
I am probably going to grab the handful of OS/QG still in my WL so I have a star on the off chance there's a new release I want tomorrow or Friday.
Anyone with a working product page for the bundled inactive item?
https://www.daz3d.com/figure-converter-for-genesis-9
It's Oopsing me, too. I hope this product being inactive doesn't scuttle the price-drop for all the other items grouped with it on that part of the page, since they're supposed to drop a bunch in price (only?) when you add them ALL to the cart.
Why do we even bother to look at these "sales". They are broken every day.
Clicking your link works for me, but I also own it, so... not sure if that plays into things.
It works now, but I got an oops before
