so I grabbed a sad looking cube today and for Easter I modelled a wacky sad bunny

    boned & morphed... then tooned

Freaking awesome! Still loving the pigeon, but I do have one question: how do you tell a sad-looking cube from a happy-looking one? I'm neither a pigeon fancier, nor a cube fancier, but I *can* tell a pigeon that's grumpy from one who's not... but cubes?

    indecision

sweet, today I cubed out a wraith ( which caught my eye ) based on one of your images... is it a model you already have that you used or was it conjured up in the banana?  cool

The wraiths were pure Banana; the prompt was, "...we can see alien spirits coming through the walls at the rear of the image."

Awesome! A.I. is no substitute for talent and creativity, and it doesn't seem like it's *that* much faster than you are.

    Singing...

    Yes, you don't need Banana,
No need for Banana, for you...

Now *that's* a cool image! Spooky was always one of my favourites as a kid.

I haven't tried the banana yet though it definitely has a peel

Meta AI does weird stuff to my renders making people tiny and changing the text to gibberish

I prefer inpainting with Fooocus for the images

I haven't experimented with many A.I.s yet, but Nano Banana Pro (and Nano Banana 2 – free via Gemini) do pretty much all of do I want at the moment. They allow me to feed them up to five characters at once, which handles most of any story situations I want to do. In the event more are needed, I can render a scene with five, then use that rendered scene as the source and add another character or two and it usually works.

The key, for me, is that using five characters who come out consistently is key for ongoing stories.

That said, I do occasionally have issues with character sizes, usually stupidly so, but it usually only takes another render or – at worst – adding a source with placeholder characters to fix it.

What I don't do yet is animation, but I probably will later this year.

Occasionally, when I say "show xxxx talking" and forget to tell it "no word balloons" I've been surprised at both how clean the text is, how well the balloons are done and most interestingly, how appropropriate the text often is. The text may not fit my story, but it usually does fit the context of the scene.

Meta is apparently Midjourney under the hood but I am not that impressed

Very impressive, I love seeing the variations.

I believe Nano Banana Pro is supposed to have approximately 94% accuracy for text rendering, with Gemini/NB 2 at 92%; both scores are well above my accuracy for reading...

well the world is pretty trucked right now to put it mildly

my Win7 PC stopped emitting a video signal now rendering it useless

a lousy time to buy anything if it can even ship here though my Temu stuff arrived OK yesterday

without the Win7 I cannot use my synthesiser, drum machine etc to record music

Win10 latency issues as no dedicated sound card

cannot do video capture either from Beta, VHS or Handycam

none of it uses VRAM btw, it's my Win10 CPU that's inadequate

a webcam won't even work on my Win10 or Zoom

I suspect thats also why VWD doesn't work and freezes up

new GPU version never is discounted at Renderosity and 40USD is too dear to risk something that may not work

I am thinking a Threadripper CPU in my Ryzen AMD Win10 PC could be the answer as it only has Ryzen3 but oh truck those are dear

do you need a new video card and sound card for your windows 7 machine?

If you lived near me I could give you a PC  ... frown

I have a video card but it crashes it if I mount  because my motherboard is damaged (by me)

yes the PC itself is pretty old and a lot wrong with it

    likely not worth salvaging

If I spend money one day it has to be an upgrade

    and thanks but

now is a really bad time and a truck uses too much precious diesal to send stuff from NSW coast to Adelaide surprise

your pigeons cannot carry it wink

I haven't looked yet but since GPU not an issue (can stick my 980Ti in) and many people don't want Win7 PCs that don't meet Win11 specs, finding one probably not dear

I have a lot more important things to toss coin at anyway
