    Use code: WISHLIST-MADNESS

. What is the point of this code?

     Its to declare your madness...

And while we are here... today it says, for the second time: Last 24 hours.

How often do you expect them to declare the "last 24 hours" before the March madness really ends? I throw in with 3.

In fairness, they're being a little more accurate this time.

The first was last 24 hours in the last weekend in March.

The one today is the last 24 hours of the month of March.

Neither said anything about the March Madness sale specifically.

I don't recall whether or not last year March Madness went past April Fools Day or not. But at any rate not only is tomorrow April Fools Day but also Sunday is Easter which could be the center o a whole new sale.

So bottom line is today might (or might not) be the end of the March Madness sale as we know it.

I came back for the end of this MM sale... today wasn't too bad. A wide variety. Nothing from my WL, but the pricing per item is decent for sure.

Last year actually ran up to April 14th (a total of  50 days as it started on February 24th).

March 31st was advertised as "Wrap Up and Catch Up"
April 1st called it "Extended - Even Madder Madness!"
April 2nd to April 11th were advertising "From Today Until the End of March Madness..." on some of its offers
April 12th and 13th were "Final Catchup Weekend"
April 14th was "Extra 24 Hours of March Madness"

Of course April 15th no longer called itself MM but its main offers were "In Case You Missed Them ... MM Releases 50% off up to 3 with an April 15th New Release" and "In Case You Missed Them Mad Artist Stores 70% off up to 5 with an April 15th New Release"

April 16th was back to (what passes for) normal at Daz 3D.

And that's not even counting the surprise pop-up resurrections later in the year, because that poor horse just wasn't dead enough to quit beating it.

It was the sale that never ends
It just went on and on, my friends
    Some people started shopping it
    Not knowing what it was
And then they kept on shopping it
    Forever, just because....

No one understands the tax code in our country, including many of the IRS agents who think they're enforcing it.  Basically, though, it boils down to this: the richer you are and the more lawyers and accountants you can throw at it, the less you have to pay.

  • More than once I've had to email chunks of a relevant statute to my state's Department of Revenue, not for my own benefit but on behalf of a client being (falsely) accused of tax return shenanigans.

"How on Earth do I know that law better than you, the professional tax person?" (I have not been brave enough to actually write that yet).

Anyway, today's sale looks pretty good. 30% off wishlist items for only a $15,000 buy-in!

Am a little bummed, had a choice between Product X and Product Y yesterday and chose X, which turned out to be a terrible product, and now Y is no longer as cheap as it was. Oh Daz, it's always a roller coaster with you.

...was deciding between Product  X and Product Y then saw I also had Product Z on my wishlist and got that instead.

There will always be another sale.

Horse 3 and several add-ons are at unbelievable low prices once in the cart, however, the only alternate skin sets that I see in the store are LIE based which can significantly slow down the rendering process (a serious issue for older hardware) compared to directly applied material maps.

     Horse 2 used standard maps.

Fortunately (in this case) there is no resale value so I think I'm okay.

Ugh. My pet peeve is when Daz puts two different bundles out on the same day, pretty much limiting options for buy-ins if you happen to not be interested in either bundle. So, instead of 18 products to choose from, I have around 8 (also excluding the extra shaders product for the hair).

I get that for the best prices and promos, Daz needs some sort of a buy-in. But they sure aren't enticing the customers to pick something by greatly limiting what's available to pick from.

Oh, the prices today are amazing. I was disappointed with yesterday's sale, since most of my WL was full (membership) price and I wasn't into the Newly Mad. But I did use the adorable balloon dog to get https://www.daz3d.com/da-kitsune-fox-for-daz-dog-8 at an okay discount, since it was the last thing I wanted left in Still New.

Today I am glad I did. A lot of my WL DOs are discounted in cart for under $2, plus add-on bundles for $6-9. So my current Nefarious Plot is to buy lots of those, then buy the two RawArt Raw Deals with tokens.

not too much chatter on current savings, especially today on DO products. BUNDLES .... Perhaps most of you spent your money earlier in the sale, but I'm thinking its a great grab right now. Today at least. The bundles are less than $1. My total was $32 then I though, why not throw a new item in there, and the total dropped to $23. So it was like getting that new item free.  98% discount for the order.

Yeah, great deals on DO today

I got 96% off, including the cost of the buy-in and using my DO coupon... no stars or tokens available. No wishlist items either, just a bit of a random splooge smiley.

I've shopped just twice during this MM sale (restraint cheeky) and got a great deal both times

I've picked over Daz Originals in many prior sales, to the point it's hard to find stuff I actually want to use my member coupons on. BUT this sale is fabulous, so I grabbed coffeee and rummaged and found some goodies.

Averaged about 98% off (including buy-ins) across 2 carts because I mostly bought partially-owned bundles (so the previously purchased items distort the discount). But I'll take that dopamine hit! :)

imo the best time to use member coupons is during sales like this - when stacking discounts start the prices extra low and there's no required coupon code.

  • For me, $1,500 worth of items for just over $30. Not quite as good as saving $15,000 on a balloon dog, but... today's purchase netted me over 100 new items, instead of just the one. So, kind of a toss-up.

Also THANK YOU daveso as I would have missed this sale if I hadn't seen your post.

I got $1340 worth for a bit over $15. That was using 8 tokens and my DO coupon. 10 G9 character and add-on bundles, plus some texture sets for the clothing items from the bundles.

99% off, so pretty crazy discount.

    For today's "Daz+ EGG-stravaganza" deal:

If you apply tokens/star/premier, Daz Plus items are generally cheaper by themselves than with a Newly Mad release in the same cart. (The Newly Mad pegs Daz Plus items at $1.99 so it's an anti-deal for some folks.)

I got about $745 for $23, using just my coupon. But it was late at night here, so I accidentally used the $10 off $25. But that's okay, I'm sure there are/will be more deeply discounted DOs this month or even this weekend.

Today, I used the first 6 hour deal and 3 of my tokens to buy https://www.daz3d.com/raw-deals--ferro-for-genesis-9 & https://www.daz3d.com/halfway-up-the-mountain plus freebies for under $8.

...found a Still New Release for 99¢ by using the "Low to High" filter and it was actually something I could use Got several D+ items off the wishlist as well as one of the new ones.

"Today's Special - Mad Artist Grab Bag" is not so special. Two items for $7.99 each, and of the 5317 items in the list, only about 60 are actually more than $7.99, even before any Gold/Silver Star discounts, coupons or tokens, never mind the buy-in. The list of items looks suspiciously like the Mad Artists stores list. In fact, it is the same URL...all-gentlemen

if you're getting the 30% for having 2 stars then only 11 of the 5317 items would cost more than $7.99 (and if you include using tokens, then there's only like 2 that cost more than that). This isn't a special; it makes 99.8% of things MORE expensive........and keep in mind that you also have to buy a new release, so it's basically impossible to actually pay less than you would pay without the sale

It's supposed to be special (most likely for bundles) but it is currently not because there is an unplanned discount applied to every item: all items in the 60% section have a higher discount (84% for PAs items, 90% for DOs) and it's true in all sections.

Finally some actual madness during "march madness" (Just not the kind the consumer wants to see)

ie: Getting punished for "buying in" with new releases.

What is the purpose of "Mad Artist Stores; Get an extra 50% off* with any Newly Mad Release" unless your cart has 100 or so items - to overcome what you lose on the 7.99 x 2 additional buy in?
