I was going to pass on Newly Mad today, but this might make me reconsider. I wonder if others might be feeling the same way and DAZ is trying to seeten the appeal.
Sorry Richard, just now saw your question. Please compare for example https://www.daz3d.com/gia-6 at the bottom of the page with https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-6. Although the Product Add-on section at the bottom of Victoria 6 is actually much larger, it misses altogether, while Gia 6 still has it. This is quite new, as I used it already often during March madness.
OK, I will see what I can find out.
It should exclude Newly/Still mad, but it wasn't. The onsite and the code are being updated to reflect that - if it wasn't and isn't working then please post your cart contents so we can get it checked.
Thanks, Richard. This item is neither Newly Mad nor Still Mad.
Thanks, I've sent that in.
It works now. Thank you, Richard, you maven!
Heh, I was just gong to ask you to try again - thanks for pre-confirming.
Daz Dog 8 also lost the product add-ons section:
https://www.daz3d.com/daz-dog-8
If it's mainly for figures with a lot of add-ons, maybe it's a performance saving change? But I hope they'll revert back to the previous situation or offer a way to browse add-on for a figure.
Actually, they also suppressed the add-on section of Genesis 9 Starter Essentials, but this is a *very very very good* thing.
Making any G9 figure/outfit an addon of Genesis 9 Starter Essentials was extremely stupid. First, loading the G9 starter essential page with its addon section composed of 20k+ elements was (how can I say) ... an interesting experience... If you have tried recently, you know what I mean. But, this is now fixed
But, if any G9 item is already an addon, it completely breaks the search of real dependencies. For instance, with "daz deals" you can find in a big list of assets which ones are addons of items that you already own. Very useful, indeed. But if all G9 items are already addons of G9 essentials, this is a useless information that masks real addon dependencies as all G9 assets will appear in the list. And this problem is not fixed...
This prompted me to look and confirm that this feature is also lost for Daz Horse 2 and 3, the original Ultrascenery, and likely many other comparable products. That, IMHO, is a bad thing that needs to be fixed. I own pretty much all of the add-ons for items like these, but when I was building my Daz collection, I made a lot of use of picking up add-ons when on sale. As a newbie, I wouldn't even have known about all the cool add-ons that were available for some things without this feature.
And how could one have ever known or found out, unless one came to this forum and asked the super-helpful people here who would gladly and quickly furnish one with a comprehensive list of links? Superior people, these forumites.
A couple of quibbles about today's sale:
It says 30% off Newly Mad Releases, but they are all actually 40% off.
Same for Still Mad releases (DO's are 58% off (0.6*0.7)=0.42, or 58% off).
For Still Mad releases, they claim and extra 30%/10% for Gold/Silver stars, but earlier the Mega Star promo says 44%/19%, which is what actually applies, so no real error, just bad copy.
The View All Items button under Additional Still Mad Releases leads to a Still New list, with all at 40% off, which is actually correct, just mis-named.
Oh I really hope this is some kind of temporary glitch or a reversible mistake. I've used the feature several times to pick up extras for a base figure like the horse or the dog.
Please Daz change your mind!
I'm still not sure what it is that is broken, which makes it hard to report. It isn't a Daz Deals feature?
They're talking about the "Product Add-Ons" at the bottom of the page, below "you may also be interested in..." Sigrid 9, for example, has them. Victoria 8 does not.
I've never paid any attention to Product Add-Ons. Sometimes it appears to be a bunch of un-related stuff.
Hey Richard, I posted a screenshot and explanation here, but maybe you missed it, as you posted almost at the same time as me and your post was behind mine.
Yes, I did miss your reply - sorry. I will flag this up, it does seem odd that it should stop working for products wheer it used to while still working with others.
Annoyng yes, but is it all that strange given that the same generations were deleted from the 3D Model dropdown menu on the top bar above during one of the store updates, where it used to list Genesis 8 and 3 as well, along with the page that use to compare the various figures? I mainly remember the latter because it used to still tout Genesis 8 as the most popular figure for quite some time even after Genesis 8.1 and 9 were added to the list. Not sure when that all went away, but it's been awhile now.
None of the fan favorites or Superb Supporters deals are working.
I picked the first non-discountd Splashy Sunday item, then the first items in the 3.99 selection and the 1.99 one, then added the first debut new item:
The first item should have more than a 44% discount (it's the gold star discount, so it's missing the extra 20%), the second should be 3.99 and the third one should be 1.99.
Reporting.
From what I can see, it's fixed. Thank you
free-wish code not working?
QG empty again...
FREE-WISH does not work.
When you look at the wishlist through the ad page nothing shows up no matter how long it's been on the wishlist. I suspect that is the reason the codes aren't working, nothing is showing for the sales mechanism for the coupon codes.
I have many items showing. But all are Daz Originals. Maybe that's why you have no item showing.
But even with a DO from the wishlist and a newly mad item in the cart, the coupon FREE-WISH is not working.
