The least expensive New Release item over $1 is $5.  With a 30% discount, you’d need to spend $16.67 in the Outlet store to cover the $5 that you spent.

I'm assuming that's for the base members. As Daz+, the cheapest I see is $3.49, except...

For those who were collecting Christmas PA freebies, if you uncheck "hide items you own," there are some $0.99 ($0.50 currently) Christmas gift items in the new releases that you could use to trigger the coupon even if you own them. And I don't know if that's intended, but...

Daz+ weekly freebie seems to be triggering the discount as well.

Thanks @Joanna. That was helpful advice but I ended up skipping the weekend sale.

No worries. I had a few outlet items I wanted to get and was getting QG stuff anyway (always waiting till the end of the week in case I want to combine them with something), so it was good for me. Everything else got skipped too.

    Yes.

Sometimes those Daz+ freebies will trigger other deals as well, but that is becoming rarer. Still worth a try.

And I loved your stories about your ghostly pets, @SilverGirl. Had two beautiful German Giant rabbits dying just before and after New Year, so could use some comfort in that area.

I'm so sorry. There's never an easy time for that heartbreak.

Also for what it's worth, in addition to all the stuff leaping off tables, and other occasional such things with no reasonable earthly explanation... I made sure my Little Dude didn't witness our beloved cat's crossing (it happened at home naturally and was clear when it was time) nor the final journey of his physical form out of the house in his favorite box. I thought it would just be too traumatic for him to see that. I was braced to have to explain it to him as best I could.

....but I never had to. For all I can tell, he hasn't noticed an interruption in service, which is saying something for a small person who's extremely dependent on routines and sameness. He still says the cat's name when he's telling me about things (often the cat's name is the only word I can pick out as identifiable, so no idea what the rest of it is about, except that it seems amused/happy) or will look at one of the cat's favorite spots to hang out and laugh, though there's nothing there I can see. He has so many extra struggles, but I think that ability to see all of the world as it is, and not just the parts we have been trained to allow ourselves to notice, is truly a gift.

I've no doubt your rabbits are similarly present, and glad for the extra time with you. heart Maybe ask them to visit in dreams so you can see them better?

Only saw this now, thank you, and this is such a sweet idea with the dreams! You know, I shall actually try this.

Hope you're having a good day, you're always such a positive vibe here despite all your hardships heart

You're so sweet, thank you... I figure the best way to combat stress, sorrow, and fear is with love, kindness, and humor.  I'm glad if others feel I bring a little sunshine.

Today Little Dude's been reasonably content, and Teen Kiddo finished their schoolwork early and is gaming their little heart out. Our heater's keeping us comfortable, the base temperature finally got above 0 (windchill is -7F, but it's still warmer than it was!), I actually got a little Daz time, and the strength and love in my community gives me hope. So I think given all the givens, today was as good as it was capable of being. :)

I hope your bunnies are able to visit you soon. Sometimes it takes a bit, so don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away. <3

I do love it when the stylized characters pop up on The Outlet Store dirt cheap! Welcome to the Runtime, The Strange Man. You are exquisitely cartoony.

    quick-grab has new items

  • Now the Outlet store is messed up, only a dozen items. Not buying for me, I just came by to see if Outlet changed and alter my WL accordingly.

1st day on the weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if the new items would only come on Monday...

  • If the QG changeover can be messed up so regularly, why not extend the fun to the Outlet too? Would be churlish not to. I agree it's more likely to be fully updated on Monday. Regards, Richard.

Better yet, why not simply have the store programmers actually fix the problem before it happens since it's a known repeating bug.  Oh wait, we're talking about the company that is still using a DAZ Studio manual that uses the 13 year old Genesis 2 figure for examples and only demonstrates the functions for no longer supported 3DL rendering system.

They decided that the on again/off again QG changeover was a great feature & implemented it for Outlet? But what do I know? My programming skill level is "MIGHT be able to code her way out of a paper bag if a real programmer let her copy their Paper Bag Exit script."

It appears the Outlet Store has now been mostly updated, and has 3206 entries. It's going to take time to look through, and some of the prices are not yet discounted, with a few showing as up to $30.95.

It appears 10 of my 26 previous wishlisted outlet items have survived the changeover.

    PippoI reported this.

Also, I don't recommend the https://www.daz3d.com/moriah-the-conjurer-bundle, specifically the outfit. It has problems whether you use it as dForce or conform it. I returned it but the coupon value was subtracted from my refund. (That's the outfit that taught me to look for reviews before buying assets when I wasn't familiar with, or couldn't determine, the artist.)

    Rehards,

It appears that a lot, if not all, the items are a repeat of last month's outlet.

  • Definitely not all.

I wanted to see if the Snake Dragon, Spiky Dragon, Jumperia and several similar creatures would remain in the sale. They haven't.

    Interesting to see, though.

    Richard

That may be back next month. Looks like some items need price adjustment.

    Well, some new good things:

https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-9-essential-shapes-bundle ; (I still didn't join the G9 wagon. It isn't bad, but it's not good. Gatekeeper items are bad in practice.)

    https://www.daz3d.com/drago-fire-and-fury-bundle ; 1+1 characters + VFX fire

Quick Grab has some good items, too.

https://www.daz3d.com/polaris-boxes (boxes and containers with open option)

https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-sci-fi-pilot-suit-for-genesis-9 for SW fans. Beware of editorial licence; some items are listed under it on QG.

https://www.daz3d.com/xi-roman-forum-ruined ; probably not bad, but you have to load the full scene and start deleting items as the big buildings are not listed as props, just listed in the https://docs.daz3d.com/public/read_me/index/90933/file_list . With VFX fire, this set can be interesting.

The base suit, which is what is in QG, has the standard Daz License. Its texture add-on https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-sci-fi-pilot-suit-for-genesis-9-rebel-texture-add-on does have the Editorial License.

Nonetheless, I'd be very cautious using the base set, myself*. The biggest difference from the movies' most iconic hero pilot suit is how the leg straps are worn. I can't believe these sets (and a few robots) have flown under the original IP owner's radar for this long.

*But the set is Sooo. Very. Tempting. I love the inspiration.

I'm not finding much that interests me in the Outlet store. It seems like some of the same old stuff.

It reminds me of the days I'd go into a local video store, and find nothing of interest.

Also, I don't like repetition. I've seen so many products labelled "InStyle" before going onto the actual name of the product. I pass over all of them.

It's too bad, because that name is on so many products.

InStyle is a line of textures for other outfits. They used to clog up the Rendo store. Now they clog things up here.  A ton of texture packs like that came over during the Rendo artist migration. I try not to be too harsh - In fairness, some of the textures are very nice, if you have the base outfit and you want the extra options. But I liked all that better when it was over there because some of them are textures for old outfits that are either not available or still not available here - And they're very old with high sku numbers as if they're actual new products.

I actually like the use of that preface, as something starting with "InStyle" from that vendor always indicates that it's an add-on for another product by another vendor, and the ones in Outlet are all items that were on sale at Renderosity for years.  Those two things alone are good enough reasons for me to skip over them 90% of the time anyway.

Don't think of them as repetition, think of InStyle as a prefix. Frankly, I wish "For Genesis 8" "For Genesis 9" etc were more standardized. Sometimes it's "Gen8" or "Gen 8" or "Genesis 8" or "G8" and so on. Too late now, of course.

I also wish they [clothing textures] were easier to filter out.
