Maybe depends on the 'bang' LOL -- mine is more the bang of the gunshot that assassinated my desire to even bother trying to put together a cart.
As far as I can see the only difference between the first 4 hours and second is a change of code.... Still seems to be the exact same item subset or a meringue?
Just like to waste people's time!
TV + internet + Phone is cheaper in a pack than internet + Phone, so I have TV subs.
There are weeks or months when I don't turn on the TV.
Is that "plate"-thing backed into the texture of the Thorne character?
I would think it was the "Heart Box Dummy Geograft: (DUF)" listed in the What's included, it certainly looks to have geometry.
I think the idea would be that every 4 hours you can get up to 5 more items with an extra discount (if you're unwilling to buy a new release).
At least, I'd like to point out, the codes actually update and work vs. the last time (or some other time) when they did 4-hour changeover of codes and offers.
I'm still playing cart jenga even though not buying.. The minimum pricing is a real kick in the butt too, isn't it. Getting to be too many restrictions and exclusions. Clear cart and grab the free explosive product. I only have one of them available.
I'm not sure about that 4 hour deal. Does it change products?
Thst kaboom thing is in my library now, and its too bad the flux or whatever is called are items not to my interest, again. But, the buy-in is kinda steep unless you buy quite a few products to get that "extra" 50% off. Its not really a great discount though if your items are not at least 50% off already.
So far it doesn't seem to change products; just the coupon codes are changing.
it could be some marketing data collection thing where they see by the codes used, which times the most stuff sells and what people habe wishlisted
Since you are limited to 5 items without a buy-in, then a new code every 4 hours allows people to buy a new batch of 5 each 4 hours.
I had January Flashback stuff in my cart and couldn't use either tokens or my monthly coupon. That's different. Nothing there about no stacking, and tokens work on everthing but Fastgrab usually.
Anyway, I emptied my cart because I didn't need it anyway.
...only one item on my wishlist shows up in the Kaboom sale and it was one I may have added for the Calendar last month so not very enthused. Yeah, a total dud there. At least the discount was corrected on the "Fuse Artists" selection though may just wait to see what tonight's changeover for Saturday brings.
My Daz+ membership expires on 02/01 so if I cancel tonight will my remaining coupon still work or do I lose it? Don't want to wait until tomorrow as the last time it renewed at something like 16:00 local time instead of 23:00 (West coast, The States).
With how poor the selection was this month, not expecting much better until MM begins.
it should work as long as you use it prior to it actually expiring, probably on the 31st. My membership always expires one day before it says it should expire.at 1800 hrs.
...yeah they say 07:00 UTC which is 23:00 local time where I live, but as I mentioned, last month it happened much earlier on the final full day.
I also copy the coupon code and save it as they often switch it to the new month a day early. Of course in this case it likely won't matter as I'm not renewing for February.
I'm enjoying today's January Flashback Sale. Even without a buy-in the deals are pretty good for me, and I like that I can choose from recent to vintage categories. Sure, it would be better if tokens were allowed to stack, but oh well.
Well - first coupon gets me an additional 50% off up to 5 items on my filtered wishlist, or up to 20 if I include a new item. My filtered wishlist has zero qualifying items. Then there's the 'Explosive' items - get one free with coupon or up to three free with a new item. AND - I already own all six.
<yawn> - bed time. I'll flip a coin when I get up - heads I'll log in and see if there's anything of interest
and allows DAZ to see at what time how many people are using their offers. Rumors say that not everyone checks the website for offers every four hours. Some people have to work or even sleep sometimes.
3 new releases and you can get 20% off a gift card... no thanks. That's an exorbitant buy in for expensive items that don't interest me.
@3dSaga has a point about the January flashback sale. Unfortunately the price floor greatly limits selection for me and I'm really only looking at the 90% off items.
I am not sure why Daz would need to faff around with coupon codes to get info they already have from general sales and traffic data.
I was about to ask this. I don't see the list of items changing so unless you have dozens of things to buy, once you've used this coupon once (if at all) there's not much going on today, I guess.
Well another sale that could be good, but now I need to pick *3* items I don't wan't for best effects....
This trend is getting a bit worrying. Every year we keep adding 1 more item to buy-in deals it seems.
Close January with a BANG! it says. Yep, I just slammed the door on January. It has to be my first month of zero buys for years.
I don't find any new items that I like, so the sales conditions don't work for me. Nevertheless, I got some older items that do not require to buy new ones.
I just ran the numbers on a gift card - I'd need to buy two items above the one planned; of the two, only one is something I'd use. In order to break even I'd need to purchase a $250 gift card; future purchases with the resulting store credit would not be with 20% off credit - they'd be with under 4% off credit.
Not worth the buy-in - pass.
Also, I still have no wishlist items that qualify for that sale, and I still own everything for the 'explosive' sale.
Checking out for the day . . .
I like sales like that. You can go in, check the store: exactly same offer as yesterday, nothing new. Not interesting new releases. 10 minutes and you're done shopping for the day. No need to check back, no need to do cart jenga...
Not to mention that the Fuse new items are a pretty meh bunch to chose from, so to qualify for the 20% off I'd have to buy a couple of items I really have no need for. For a really good discount I might go for the subway, except I already have four or five abandoned subway sets* (as a lot of DAZ and Rendo vendors seem happy to just make variations on things already in the stores), and the combined discounts, including 8 tokens, is still less of a discount than I was getting just a month ago where the average item in my carts was pushing 90% off, and it's inevitable that the DAZ marketing team will resort to the uber steep discounts again in the near future so I'm happy to be patien Whatever, I've gotten quite used to promotional categories being entirely empty, as today's kablamo offer is, due to having previously bought them all, or if not empty then the remaining selection is entirely filled with stuff I've passed on a zillion times like old expression packs, bundles where I already own all the individual items, and ancient stuff from the days of victoria 2, though lately, of course, I also have to filter out all of the items that I've previously bought at Renderosity. When we're here at the end of the month and I still haven't used my premier $10 off coupon, you know that a month's sale and new item selection has been incredibly lackluster.
* plus it doesn't have safety railings on the stairway, which always feels llike pure laziness on the part of the PA.
@Cybersox.
Not just abandoned Subway stations but I always wondered what is the ongoing fascination with bathrooms? There are some I've seen that appear to have more square footage than my studio flat.
By far the worst are Japanese schoolgirl dresses and uniforms, followed by sci-fi hallways (usually offered as D+ freebies), short "pixie bob" hairstyles. and various skimpy/sexy/revealing outfits (the volume of the latter which seems to have ballooned as of late).
Derelict warehouses also seem to have become a thing as well lately..
If I could filter all that out, shopping would be a breeze.
About bathrooms, I know what you mean about size. However I've seen some that were bigger than a lot of two bedroom apartments, one comes to mind that a certain person who shall remain nameless given his love for extreme tacky gold and white decor would have loved, if it had had a bed . refrigerator, and stove it would have been a one room Luxury efficency
