Is Daz moving everything now to Genisis 9?

    8 or 8.1? Did you check for controls for the jaw, rather than mouth?

    If you in the scene tab expand then head there should be a 'lower jaw' that can be opened in parameters tab.

    There should also be a controller for it.

    In all honesty, you'll probably need to move the lips (Corners, upper & lower segments) to make a realistic open mouth as well as the expression movements. The standard expressions do look a bit.. odd, shall we say, unless used at very small percentage movements. Getting them right will either take a fair bit of practice or a fair bit of skill or both.
