NGartplay - looks quite nice, never saw this terrain before and thus I do not know from whom it is,

Thanks Horo and NGartplay, this was the scene that crashed on saving, I still can't understand why.

Horo - beautiful scene as always, I agree the foreground foliage is awesome.

NGartplay - very nice scene, I also don't know from whom it is.

Thank you, Mermaid010 and a very nice terrain with rocks.

NGartplay, fantastic sushi render and very nice terrain work too.

Really very nice terrain, Horo. Love the mood.

I started a new terrain by creating some filters in Photoshop Elements, applied on a blank canvas. I smoothed it substantially in Bryce. And I put multiple (stacked) copies in this scene with two city materials. I linked them by serpentine-like terrains and added several elements from the Space Construction kit. I also added the fading disk underneath the cities and added to space ships by Bunyip02.

Hansmar- a very interesting render, awesome work.

NGartplay - fantastic abstract, the panorama looks very different from the regular render.

    Thank you mermaid.

Hansmar - thank you. Great result, these cities look special and very interesting and are also very nicely presented in this outer-world scene.

    NGartplay - beautifully done abstract.

    Thanks NGartplay, Mermaid010 and Horo.

    Great abstract renders Mermaid010.

I used three cubes, 50/50 transparent and reflective. in red, blue and yellow. Rotated two of them and put the whole combination in a reflective sphere. The ground is half reflective and the sky is a white background.

Correction: the cubes were not partly transparent, but only 50% reflective.

Hansmar - very cool result of this 3-cube abstract.

Beautiful, colorful abstract Hansmar, btw the abstracts are by NGartplay, no mine.

    Oops, sorry NGartplay!

I added the Country House by Aflons Blom at the end of the Path from the Bush Track by Shredder. The 2 additional trees are from the Vegetation product.  The cloud is a sphere with materials from the presets.

mermaid - very nicely done scene with this country house and the vegetation.

A torus, a cube and a pyramid partly within each other, partially transparent with a low refractive index, and somewhat reflecting. Colour and patterns by an unpublished HDRI, a bit of specularity by the sun but no light. In front of the camera the GWL (giganitc wide-angle fisheye lens) from Lenses and Filters.

Hansmar, the yellow pops in your abstract.  I don't know why but it reminds me of Christmas lights.

Great render of your countryhouse, mermaid.  You image makes me want to render a building.  Thanks for the inspiration...house image coming soon to a Bryce forum near you.

Horo, gorgeous.  I don't see the pyramid but I'm assuming that it's where some of those reflections come from.

NGartplay: Your food render made me hungry. The Planet Surface landscape is very interesting. The abstract is like a pair of interdimensional candies.

mermaid010: The rocks in the water look spectacular. The house in the countryside looks very peaceful, an ideal place to spend the weekend away from the chaotic and bustling city.

Horo: Your terrain is a perfect tundra, and the mountains in the background fit perfectly with the rest of the landscape. The torus with the cube and the pyramid turned out great; they produce a fantastic psychedelic effect.

Hansmar: The space landscape looks strange, but very interesting, a kind of space colony connected by roots. The abstract turned out very well with all the colors blended together.

These clouds took forever to render.  They are from a scene file from Brinnen called oddclouds.  They look like felt and create a shelf appearance.  I used their gritstone terrain mat from one of their packages and changed the camera.  Took so long to render that I didn't do much tweaking.  There was no way that I wouldn't post it after all that time rendering, lol.  The orange scene is the original file's image.  Quite impressive.

Nice landscape NGartplay, although the clouds are a bit dense, they look nice.

NGartplay - very nice landscape under those weird but interesting looking clouds. The slanted horizon appears to be a bit uncommon.

The terrain is from High Resolution Terrains 3 (HRT-3) with an adjusted material from HRT-1 and Gritstone Hills. The rocks in front are from my own terrain with the same material. The water is the ground plane with a material from HRT-4. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from HRT-4 and the key light by the sun. A rowboat (rowing boat) at the beach of an island.

Thanks Horo.  The horizon is not slanted, the clouds are.  I'd seen clouds like this while traveling...once.  They were very dark and ominous, not friendly looking, like these.

Horo, like how your plants peak through the shallow waters near the shore.  You have the ability to make your scenes very realistic.

Thank you NGartplay. Ah I see, thanks for the explanation about the horizon.

A magnificent, realistic scene, Horo, I like the addition of the rowing boat.

The buildings are Faubourg by Faveral (long ago at Poser) modified. The water is the ground plane with my material and the sailing ship is the HMS Victory modified. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from Golden Lighting and the key light by the sun.

Horo, wonderful scene created here.  I was going to ask if that was 'golden lighting' and then saw your comment.  Beautiful.

NGartplay - thank you. The snow mountains look excellent and realistic. I like the new version of the cloudy sky over the Gritstone hills better.

  • mermaid010mermaid010 Posts: 6,037

Wow Horo, outstanding work with the Faubourg building, the lighting is awesome.

NGartplay - the clouds are better in the revised scene, I agree the snowy scene is excellent.
