That's scary Wendy, soon Ai will be telling you its dreams
this guy is doing what our Headwax does
ah can't keep a secret !
here's k4 sculpted up in Blender and meshmixer as a pawn , didn't want topostit on stezza's thread cos too off topic
He's been shot with a machine gun !!!
That's a fantastic video, Wendy.
Great work, Headwax. I play around with Sculpting softaware (3d Coat on the PC, Nomad Sculpt and Sculpt+ on an Android tablet.)
However I bought a VR headset late last year and am absolutely loving sculpting with Shapelab Lite in VR. I sit on my sofa with the sculpt before me as light as a balloon and as large or small as I wish. It has to be seen to be believed.
The painting programs for the headset are equally amazing. Every kind of brushstroke hangs in mid-air.
There are other programs for modelling/painting/sculpting - the lines between these applications get somewhat blurred in VR...
So far I haven't touched AI in any way. But 3d AI animated people in fantasy settings are mind-blowing in virtual reality.
Ha ha a very busy one at that
Tha is, well that sounds so futuristic! Soon we will not need bodies, or teeth. All the dentists will go broke;) ut seriously sounds like a story from omni magazine in the late 70s. Who are we to dream of electric sheep ?
one thing is certain... it wasn't the Stormtroopers
stormtroopers get such bad press,
was working up a 3d print model today after seeing a guy who works out the colours of his sculpts in virtual world before painting them in so called real world , then I realied that it needed a ball to represent the ai that thieves everyone's work, I guess i will have to suspend the ball magic-etically

Pretty spooky. I've always been a sucker for black & white, color confuses me.
thanks, been painting my 3d models in colour but not happy with results entirely so going back to first principles , it's good learning stuff but frustrating , looking at Spanish 15th century poly chromed religious sculptures doesn't help at all ... not my style, nothing is see I want to emulate :(

No weasel was safe ., .,! See above article
Noooo - not the nuts .......
Apparently taste like none's habits. Musty with a hint of garlic.
Had a go at converting phimemos meshes achieved from his hair converter, so I could see whether they would 3d print. ... will stick to sculpting hair for the purpose in future. Sadly underused plugin though by me.
The K4 pawn chess piece is tremendous! Pig rider would make a wonderful knight.
This one is for Wendy. A friend of mine went and said it was spectacular.

sounds cool
thanks Ted, this be 3d print results
wheels made in carrara too
Interesting figures Headwax. Can anyone give me a good reason to buy full LAMH? It seems to have stability issues with DS. Allesandro said he was going to create a stand alone Version 2 at some point? Would be mostly using it to import into Blender. It has some interesting features, just not sure how well they will work.
the main thing I like about LAMH is it keeps the pelt UV mapping converted to a mesh
Strandbased hair and Carrara hair with Philemo's plugin do not, they become UV mapped to the length of the hair
Zbrush only can do hair length UV mapping too, not pelts
albeit the pelts are mixed packed tiles not actually matching the original donor mesh
I do have a trick up my skeeve for the Carrara hair though
because it maintains Vertex order regardless of length, I export a zero length one as well and use Ultimate Unwrap3D to convert the UV mapping to packed tiles then the repaint to project the texture from the original growth object to it
then in DAZ studio load it in surfaces as an alternative UV
thanks 3Deedlin
Wendy you are a fritin genuis
how do you share a short here ?
https://youtube.com/shorts/pRkB-QYPTb8?feature=share
https://youtube.com/shorts/pRkB-QYPTb8
URL replace short with watch
browse to it
click share copy link
in forum choose source and paste it
ah thanks, how did you figure that one out ?
just noticed the URL says short instead of watch
but the rest is my standard way of embedding videos in the forum that works
thanks yes, not sure why short but not too tall either :)
+1
My fancy desktop computer up and died on me. Seems like it is new but it is more than 6 years old so while not a great lifespan, not a rip off either. Fortunately, I have been good about backing up my own stuff to an external drive. Even so, I will need to be reinstalling a lot of programs, including Carrara.
LOLno
pretty sure someone else told me yonks ago how to embed videos
Joystick controlled Porker
Oh-no, what a PITA ..... Hope you get a replacement sorted !!!
there must be some components you can salvage
