Thanks a lot for the answer, @Imago
I will try it again.
So far the example freebie scene from:
https://www.renderosity.com/freestuff/items/83922
works the best for me.
Another thought.
Can I scale freely Fluidos II domain and the simulation will work?
Or do I need to take some additional steps?
You can find the Scale options directly in the Domain's parameters. Don't use the "main" ones but the ones in the Fluidos part. Also, you can move around and resize the domain as much as you want but don't rotate it too much, it could bring some unexpected behaviour in the fluids.
Thank you very much for the information.
I have noticed, that when I scale or move the domain on screen nothing changing in the main parameters.
By the way, I have succeded with the simulation of Alberto scene, but just need to refine it more.
Render of simulation of Alberto scene with my settings for fluid.
this is my scene setup ... what am i missing i want to make simple liquid animation scene than proceed further
step 1 add fluidos domain
step 2 add sephre inside domain and parent it with fluidos domain
step 3 add fluidos mesher and parent it with sephre
step 4 give empty folde to fluidos domain and sephre to save baked files
step 5 run simulation
step 6 turn enabled on
this works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt idk what i am missing
No need to parent the Mesher to the Domain, you just have to be sure they share same position. To do that just select the domain and press CTRL+C and then select the Mesher and press CTRL+V. This way they will have the same position and same data folder.
Also don't parent the mesher to the sphere, it doesn't work that way.
About your scene, did you activated the Mesher? Are you sure the Sources are activated? The Mesher is in the right spot?
Follow these basic steps:
1) In an empty scene add the Domain, the Mesher and one Source
2) Parent the source to the Domain.
3) In the Sources parameters be sure it is activated (it's ON by default but better check)
4) Move the source to the center of the domain to give it room for the testing.
5) Assign an empty folder to the domain.
6) Copy-Paste the domain's position/parameters as I described before.
Run this simulation and let us know if it works fine. If all is OK, we can go to the next step using fluid masses, as I think you need to do judging by your post.
ah thank you imago yes it works now :)
and yes please do share how i can use fluid masses :)
once again thank you very much :)
Hello,
Please tell me what's wrong, I can't solve this error message.
I tried to unsinstall the lite version and run Fluidos II like I'm used to for 4 years, but I still got that message.
That is the upgrade version, do you own a Fluidos (I) license? If not you need to return that and get the ful, rathr than upgrade, product.
Oh, I don't own Fluidos I but II. I guess Fluidos LITE is not more powerful than Fluidos II. So I won't push it further.
It's the opposite: Fluidos II Lite is a less powerful version of Fluidos II, so if you already own Fluidos II, you already can do with it everything Fluidos II Lite can do.
I would ask for a refund if you got the update less than 30 days ago.
Well, there are :
- Fluidos I
- Fluidos II
- Fluidos II LITE
- FLuidos II LITE - upgrade fom 1.3
- Fluidos II - upgrade from LITE
All of this is very confusing. Anyway, I got it for free with a coupon, so no refund.
LITE generally means a slightly cut down version, Upgrade means it depends on owning the version being upgraded from (so there is an upgrade option from 1.3 and an upgrade from LITE)
So I ran a sim and now I cannot run the player since at every frame a little window wants to pop up saying "fluids reconstruction - fluidos mesher", thus the player skips 20 or so frames ahead and then it seems to stick to the curser as well. Player runs normally after I get passed the 100% completion keyframe. Any suggestions?
You don't generally want the remesher active while simulating, so that it doesn't make each iteration wait for the remesh (sorry, going from memory - terms may be wrong but it is in the guide).
Le sigh. I ran the simulator, ergo it is done simulating. Now that the simulating is over with I am having several issues happening. If you try to jump to a different frame it gives you that popup window. If you try to run the player it does not work properly due to the afore mentioned pop up window trying to load with each frame the player hits. If you run your curser across the timeline, not even clicking on anything, it will try to load the closest keyframe you went over summoning up...you guessed it, the popup window.
You can use the "silence progress dialog" in the Mesher's options to stop the popup.
It is off.
Turn it on to block the popup when you don't need it.
Program worked this morning. Second try changed some setting has now caused the program to crash multiple times. So I took everything out of the domain, deleted the mesher, saved and re opened daz. Created a domain, sized and positioned it and parented items back into it. One item was a fluid mass so I made sure to set that as a fluid mass, and the rest of the items I confirmed as being solid object, 2 of which had force applied at intensity 2. Only domain setting changed was frames, vorticity confinement (5) and setting mesher to fast. Ran the simulation, created a mesher, copied the domain and pasted to the mesher. Set the completion, enabled the mesher so I can see it.. Clicked play on the timeline and nothing is there. From frame 0 to 550...ziltch. Did this a few times over and over. The results are always either some of the simulation worked but the system crashes or nothing happens at all.
Started up Daz again. Same setting only I took away any force to various objects, removed my blender make fluid mass and its container. Added it their place a primative cube from Daz and a new less fancy blender made, 2 sided container with an open top, sigh. Started the simulator. Fluid now behaves as it should filling the container. Objects that are in the domain that need to react with the fluid are ignored even though the domain is set to interact with objs. Starting the sim again but placing body force on the objects set at 1. Crash. Restarted daz,,,again. Picked up everything in the domain and dumped it back in since you cannot see the Fluidos settings unless you do this.. All setting the same but ditching body of force in favor of a thicken of 1.
Okay so it seems applying body force on things just kind of causes a crash for some reason. Since I don't want to waste anymore time I will apply a negative emersive to the mesher, one that really darkens up surrounding objects. Add a geometry shell to the mesher and make the shell far larger than the mesher, apply a smoke shader to it and now we have a thick looking, tar like goo. NSFW character is now ready to be dipped.
Breaking hard. Woke up this morning to find that the render looks horrible in that in multiple frames the simulation just kind of decided not to do anything. Okay, fired up Daz and the mesher is not showing any movement. Rechecked everything from enabling to completion and the mesher just does not want to do anything. So I deleted it and summoned a new one and it shows nothing there even after triple checking settings such as enabling and completion and making sure it was in the same footprint as the domain. Okay. so without changing any settings from yesterday I summoned the simulator....excuse me, I called the simulator. Anywho, now all the liquid leaks out of the container. HAHAHAHA. Ran it again with more thicken and it still pours out the bottom. So I stretched out the container to fill the domain at the bottom hoping that if it leaked at least the water level would remain where it needs to. Now each time the character touches the fluid object vast amounts of the liquid just kind of evaporate. Going to add thickening to my character and sim again. Day three on the simple task of having luiquid in a tub with a character stepping into it.
Hello, i dont know if this is the place for help but i could not find anywhere else, i apologize if this is the wrong place. i have an issue where im using a source in a domain, i have the source turn off and on. I notice during the simulation the liquid in the container seems to like disappear/shrink? The longer i leave the simulation run the more the liquid disappear. even when the source is off and nothing else is happening. Any idea's on what could be causing this problem and what settings would fix this? Thank's in advance.
Hi!
Yes, this is the place for help!
The problem you described could happen when the cell size is too large. You can try one or more of these options to solve it:
Hi Alvin @Alberto, I don't post a lot, but I just have to post to say your plugin is really amazing.
At first I was hesitant to buy it due to the high price, but I got it on sale and now I understand why the price is so high.
The manual itself is > 100 pages and even contains a reference section with screenshots to show what will happen when some of the settings are adjusted. And it contained easy to follow instructions on getting started. Even for someone with almost no experience in Daz Studio, I found it truly helpful and was able to replicate the sample without much difficulty. If you create more plugins, please know that the effort you put into making such a detailed manual is truly appreciated and certainly not wasted.
As for the plugin itself, so far it worked pretty well and Daz Studio only froze once, and I'm not even sure whether it was due to the plugin. The actions integrate properly with Daz Studio, and I was impressed by the number of configurable properties, even though I admit I don't understand most of them.
Sure, there are bugs (like the results of the previous generated simulation being visible in the preview window along with the new generated simulation until I restarted Daz Studio), but considering the sheer number of configuration options provided (much more than I imagined from reading the product page), some bugs are understandable.
Again, your plugin is really amazing!! Really nice work!
Thank you!
I'm glad that you liked Fluidos II.
Hi Alvin @Alberto, is there a way to get the plugin working in Daz Studio 2025? Even if it's only for rendering purposes, that would be really great.
The issue I have is that I have constructed everything in Daz 4.24, but rendering is taking very, very long since I have a 5000 series card which is only supported by Daz Studio 2025. (In Daz 4.24, a 5000 series card isn't supported and reverts to CPU rendering.)
Thanks!
Hi!
No, Daz Studio 2025 can't use the old plugins that work in 4.24.
Fluidos II should eventually be readapted to Studio 2025, but I'll need the proper SDK for this Studio version; however, it has not been released by DAZ yet. We have to wait.
