The recent history of new ideas has been 'implement, ignore, implode', with NFT's and AI Studio. I do hope the Outlet doesn't follow the same path as it's a rather nice idea.

    Regards,

    Richard

Maybe they'll swap it in on a Thursday? It was Thursday it went up last time, right?

I don't think they've ever said anything about changing the Outlet content. Maybe it will stay the same until they decide to replace it with some other sales gimmick.

Removal is a possibility, though from what I've seen on the forums, it generated a lot of sales. Granted Daz marketing is far from logical... but it seems like it would be a lot of trouble to come up with something completely new to replace it when they could simply freshen up the offerings. There are still a lot of ancient DO's to pick from that aren't in there, even if they're at their limit for what PAs want to contribute.

I hope so too! The outlet is a great idea.

I'm even presumptuous enough to hope that AI Studio will be revitalised one day. It's still working, but on the back burner, and unfortunately nothing or little has come of all the big plans...

Was there ever any addition to the outlet store? My sorting is "newest releases" and at least those seem to be still the same as of launch.

As best I can tell, it is the same selection. I've seen a few stores (long defunct) that have had similar sections and items didn't get changed around.

I thought the slashed circle was just O for Outlet with slashed prices. I didn't read any more into it.

I do wish people would stop claiming they've seen things be changed/added/removed. In the month that the store has been active, the total number of items has never changed. I've seen no notifications (from Daz deals add-on) of items dropping to Outlet prices. And Daz themselves have not publicized any kind of changeover taking place. The data shows that nothing new has been added to the roster, and it wouldn't make logical sense for Daz to secretly change the stock in such a way so that nobody notices it. They want to sell stuff.

I can see them adding things to the Outlet Store but now taking them out so frequently. From what I see, it's the poor sellers that are going in, some of which I wanted, but not a lot. If those go out, well, they'll stay poor sellers, if past sales are any indication.

I like it, it allows PAs to try product hunches they may not sell so good, but they can recover more development costs in the Outlet store if they actually don't sell well.

The product list quanity has remained at 1658 and I still own 882 of those items. Based on previous experience with DAZ, it seems unlikely to me that they would do one-to-one product swaps so that the store total remains unchanged and my total of purchased products would remained unchanged.

It might. You are a cat after all. laugh I've checked regularly and haven't seen any changes in what's in the store, but I am more one for zoning out, than zoning in.

I was standing on my head doing yoga and browsing the outlet store and I noticed the numbers look different, therefore i am sure it has changed. wink

Richard Haseltine is a cat, too. Look how many typos he makes. He empathizes with you and your big furry mitts, I'm sure.

Thank you for that video! Just yesterday I was trying to remember Imani Coppola's name because I'd bought her CD back in the 90's for Legend of a Cowgirl (but all my brain gave me was "the last name of a famous director"). I didn't know Little Jackie was the same artist.

Legend of a Cowgirl is ... well, legendary

the first part of that music video rewired my then teenage brain forever

Quick suggestion: In the sorting drop-down menu we have the "New Arrivals" in the main page (and other pages too), can I suggest to add a "Recently Added" option for the Outle page to see what has been added lately?

The "new arrivals" one shows only the newest products, not useful when trying to check new discounts.

  • mdingmding Posts: 1,642

@Imago: AFAIK there haven't been any new arrivals. Of course it could be I already own them and therefore don't see them, but I am not the only one with that impression.

  • richardandtracyrichardandtracy Posts: 7,079

I can say with absolute certainty that there has been no changeover of the V3 items. There are 7 total, and I have those identified, owning 2 and recognsing the remaining 5 items.

    Regards,

    Richard

I'm still showing 1016  of 1630 items, spread over 17 totally blank pages - I hid the items (Daz Deals premium feature) that I will never purchase and got tired of looking at. Nothing new since day 3 (took a while to hide 1016 pages).

As long as the total of products is 1658, it's very unlikely that Daz changed the selection.

i have a total of 1227, and its been that way since the bginning. So am I not seeing over 400 items?

  • richardandtracyrichardandtracy Posts: 7,079

They'll be ones you already have. If you un-clich 'Hide Items I Own' the rest will become visible.

You don't have something like 1227 of 1658 items at the top of the page ?

Do you, perhaps, use Daz Deals and have some of the products marked as "hide this product from listings"?

i do use DAZ Deals, but dont have any products hidden. There must be something going on though.

I also have 1658 total products in my Outlet page. It's really odd some users have a different total!
