Now we're talkin'! @richardandtracy, I suspect some that rolled out will be back at a future date. Meantime, egads! My poor credit card! laugh

One not-so-positive change: It looks like the extra discount for buy 5 is gone. But pricing on some of the bundles looks favorable, assuming one buys a Daz+ subscription. Might finally have an actual reason to go in for a year... We shall see. In all, I like what I see here.

Seems they removed the additional price reduction for putting five items in the shopping cart?!? I recall a "5 of $ 1.99 for $ 8.00" and a similiar offer for the $ 3.99 items.

Anyone ready to check if the DAZ+/Premier coupons work with the outlet/quickgrab store(s), as I don't see any note of them being excluded from being used on them

I had noticed that too. Regards, Richard.

This really should be made more clear on the sale page, but check your email. The description in the advert email says if you put 3 of either regular-Outlet or weekly-Outlet in your cart, you get 20% off the cart. Which is a better deal, really.

It doesn't seem to be working with the weekly-Outlet selection at the moment (reporting thread) but... well, Daz rollout. There's always going to be a bug.

My DO coupon is not accepted.

At least you get 20 % off your entire cart with 3 or more outlet or quick grab items (no new releases)

For science: Put $7 of DO's in my cart from quickgrab selection. They would normally qualify, but I'm getting a "coupon invalid" -- going to make the leap and say that it therefore probably won't work on the regular Outlet store. Also going to assume if that one doesn't work, neither does the PA coupon.

How does the email 20% off work? Is there a hidden coupon code? I have a bunch of it outlet items in my cart but don't see a discount.

No coupon code required. However, the outlet items do not stack with other offers; so the 20% discount does not apply to them. Also new releases, gift cards, memberships, etc. are excluded.

Thanks @SilverGirl and others! I missed the extra 20% of cart. Yes, that's good, don't know how much it'll help me given the limits @CharlieJudge pointed out.

I've just bought an outlet product based almost solely on a very cute set of promo-pics: https://www.daz3d.com/bj-camera-manager-plugin (I don't care if they are stock images! wink) I like a lil bit of "salesmanship"

(It might also be a useful product too - esp the 1-click auto-focus)

    smiley

2500+ products is too many to wade through, all at once, so I think a couple of pages a day or so might get it done before content refreshes ... btw: did anyone keep "the score" on how many days the much sort after refresh took?

Yeah, I didn't understand those were the limits when I wrote that.

Given that previously if you bought 5 you got 20% off those 5, and there was a lot of confusion about it not applying to others, or needing to have all 5 of either the low or high tier, I thought this was their way of simplifying it.

    Nope.

I'm still moderately enthusiastic about the revamp. A bunch of stuff on my list did go down, and I'll definitely get that. A bunch of other stuff is now stuck at a price higher than I'd pay for it (especially since some of it I was planning to eventually use my DO coupon on), so that's frustrating.

As everything, take the good, can't do anything about the bad, and maybe things will shift more favorably in the future.

BJ Camera Manager is a great product! I use it every time I do anything in Daz Studio 4.24. It makes camera switching (and much more) so much simpler and quicker.  It is a PA plugin, so not currently available for the DS 2025 Alpha. You got a great deal getting that in the Outlet Store.

Well, the PA should thank you both, because I'd skimmed right past it, but these recs made me take a closer look. I'm all for things that simplify my workflow, and especially if it'll handle some of the stuff I struggle with or haven't had the time to allocate to learning. (While I do enjoy gaining new skills... I have to be fresh enough to tackle the learning process, and I hate the lack of that holding up my ability to make art.)

    In the cart it went.

Not too worried about the compatibility with the next DS upgrade. I'm not what one would call an early adopter. I'm sure I'll get $3.50 worth of convenience out of it before then. :)

The Outlet Store has been working great for me, and now with Quick Grab it's gotten even better. I also like they've added some newer G9 items as well.

Would've been nice to have been told that items weren't going to be in the outlet store forever.

Just picked up JES Monaco Air Vignettes. It'll be an interesting test for my 3050. Also picked up a few Zeddicuss pose sets for G9F (for some unkown reason, I have more poses for G9M).

I agree! Will have to decide sort of quickly about my daz+ sub - Maybe take another month now and see about the year after that... Except that I probably want a month of Premier at holiday time and there's no easy way to do that if I already have a year of Daz+. indecision

Yeah, the inability to do a one-month jump from D+ to premier is a big point against the annual D+, IMHO.

Although I suppose they'd really rather everyone get Premier anyway, so there's that.

Seems that "20% off your cart" only means other items than the outlet/quick grab store ones, excluding new etc. etc. from the test cart I made.

  • Well, this is a pleasant surprise. It looks like the expanded Outlet selection with be pretty static, but the new Quick Grab will be changed out. Even though it's hard to look through the Outlet items, I like this new version. And the old Outlet items I still haven't got are in the selection, according to my WL.

I may grab some of the newer figures/bundles from Quick Grab later this week. I have to find out how much registering the new vehicle is before I go wild here, alas.

Agreed on both points! My budget says, "Sorry, no can do!" I have to really look through the store to see what my cart will look like, too.

I thought about it for a bit and decided that really, the attraction for me was the $1 or $2 items. So I'm not going to bother looking scrolling through anything higher than that. If it happens to drop something already on my wishlist and it seems like a good price even though it's over the $2, that's one thing, but I'm not going hunting. And with the way the discounting now works, I just went through the store, wishlisted what interests me, and I'll wait to get anything until there's something else I'm getting that would qualify for the 20% discount. Quick Grabs I'll probably get on Monday or Tuesday, if what I fancy's enough to get me a couple tokens. If not, I'll hold off on those to see if they'll be useful later in the week. By Sunday night, if there hasn't been, I can decide if I still really want it or not and go from there.

I do like that they've been forthright about when the Quick Grabs are changing. Would be nice if they'd do the same with the main store, but I guess you lose the element of FOMO, then.

@SilverGirl I can understand that. I would only mention, and I'm sure you know, compared to previous sale prices, some of the items are expensive at the prices shown (even with D+ or Premier). And those items are locked into those prices for their duration in the Outlet Store. Other items are spectacularly good deals, and that includes newer bundles. So, I am looking at all the price points.

There are some items on my wishlist that are now $1.99 with the 'O' logo in the corner, that don't show up in the Quick Grab or the Outlet:
dForce Tactical Style Outfit Texture Add-On,
    Tactical Props
    Next Generation Rifle and Accessories

Oh absolutely. I'm only picking out the ones that are good deals compared to previous price points. The ones that aren't... well, there they sit until they rotate out of the store and get a good deal again.

I also should've mentioned I did do a "show only bundles" and apply a different pricepoint criteria for those. The https://www.daz3d.com/mini-essentials-bundle comes in at $5, but $2.50 per item (because I'll only use two of the three) to fill gaps that'd been a stumbling block... that's a good price. (It was also the only bundle that interested me.) And the BJ camera utility was something I hadn't even been looking at, but again, I can be swayed if there's a solid gain to be made.

  • SilverGirlSilverGirl Posts: 2,786

Also interesting, Vicky & Michael 8 were both in the $2 bin as of yesterday; now they're $3.49. I had them on my WL trying to decide it they were worth $2 each (I don't really use G8, nor am I super enthusiastic about the characters themselves, but they're a foundational base for stuff and that was a decent price) but that hike definitely landed me in the "nope" category.

i came across a few (four) recent Daz + items for $1.99. Did I miss something?
