    I got into the Daz fun pretty late. ShareCG was one of more bookmarks to see what enthusiasts make. If you like Star Trek, astronomy, and the 60s, that was the place to be. Sad to see it go.

    It might not be that it is stopping, but too much concurrent traffic or as a previous poster mentioned, a server file management issue.

    Find what you most want, a top ten and bookmark them. The moment the site functions grab your top ten. You can still browse right now.

    I can both log-in and download. So hopefully others can too. 

    EDIT: I got 2 things downloaded then it booted me out and won't let me log back in... :(

    With some luck, the login will work again, but we will see. Anyway it's still broken. :(

    Barring the arrival of a reliable fix, I've got what I need/want from there. I went through all my saved links and files and determined I already downloaded all of it. So cheers to the site, sorry to see it go. Cheers to all the people who posted there, hope to see you on other sites in the future.

    I had only occasionally downloaded things from there in the few years since I showed up here in Dazland. Based on suggestions from these two threads, and some brute-force wandering through the offerings, I think I've downloaded all that I needed, just in time before I too was affected by the never-really-logs-in situation that some users started reporting a few days ago.

    Looks like it was a great resource and it's too bad if it disappears, as there will always be new people coming along (one hopes!) or someone who was busy in the last few weeks returns and sees that they missed out on the last hours by unlucky chance, or ...

    Sad to hear the site is closing. I started out modelling and began to share them on Sharecg ages ago, found it a good place to gauge if people liked them... never uploaded my freebies anywhere else. I feel the site lost its appeal when it started to try and sell things. I will miss my followers there and all the wonderful feedback they would be kind enough to give me.

    It makes me mad that the site is "up" but no one can log in to download anything. 

    Edit: As of right now I can download stuff. Got about 6 downloads and still loged in. Don't know how long it will last though.

    I've given up on trying to get more off ShareCG. The constant problems with the site (possibly because no one is putting much effort into maintaining the site, understandably) plus the terrible DSL in this rural area has made it impossible for me to get more off the site. I think I got most everything I wanted from my faves & a couple I heard about here, so it's good. I will miss it. Like many others it was one of the first free content sites I was introduced to.

    Really sad. Although RenderHub is mentioned as accepting free content from the ShareCG artists the content was not transfered. It is too bad that the content wasn't/couldn't be transfered there or to another site

    They were back, I downloaded a couple of things. Today though they politely left a message that yes, they are gone and that one should go to RenderHub.com and that NONe of ShareCG.com's assets were transferred to RenderHub.com.

    I'm happy for you. I'm having a different experience there. Doesn't actually matter - Site's gone either way.

    ShareCG was still up at around 4am central time this morning and I was able to grab a few more items.. darn now its gone for good.. wish I would have stayed up and grabbed a few more items sadsad  I was also trying to capture details about usage for individual items.. some were unrestricted use while some were all rights reserved.  I did have to log in multiple times in order to finally "get into" the site and managed to contact a couple of artists thanking them for their artistic talent and hoping they would move their items over.
