Well, I'm back home.  No further major misfortunes.

After friday's mud experience and "bridge-out" situation the rest of the trip doesn't compare.  However, I did get taken to dinner at a posh hotel on the Gulf beach in Naples Florida where I saw the sunset, complete with the green flash, and a marlin jump, and I had scallops for dinner.  Mmm, yum.  Haven't had scallops in 20 years!  yes

I went back to Universal Studio on Monday to use up my 3rd day of my ticket but discovered that there would be no Halloween Fright Night again until Friday. sad Bummer!  However, I got to see the new movie "Everest" that was playing in IMAX 3D in the cinema complex at Universal's "CityWalk" area so that was a plus! Yea! yes   Unfortunately, I'd arrived too late to get an ECV (mini-golfcart) to ride around on so I walked until I couldn't walk anymore which wasn't very long.  But I did manage to get a marvelous salmon lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.  (cool!)  And after all this, I'm now all Universal'd out.  I've had all the Universal excitement I can handle.  I've seen everything I wanted to see, twice.  But... but... I did get a peek at what's to come.  "King Kong Island"!!!!  The exterior is almost ready and looks really cool from what you can see of it over the top of the fence.  So maybe in a year or two or three I'll get a chance to get back.

I'm home now, and the two-day (22 hours) drive back was much harder on me than the drive down.  My feet were sore and swollen, my knees were sore, I was tired and had to fight fatigue each afternoon at my normal nap time.  Then just when I thought I was getting near home I got stuck on I-79 north of Pittsburgh behind some HUGE LONG object being transported somewhere.  The convoy tranporting the object involved two huge truck-type vehicles and about 6 other escort vehicles travelling at 50 mph and wouldn't let anybody pass until they came to a long straight stretch because when the object went around curves it took up all the lanes! surprise  It took nearly an hour for me to get up to to the point where I could finally pass and resume 65 mph speed.

...good that at least the rest of the trip was uneventful (save for the soreness and trucks with their cargo of mystery) and you made it home safe,

That's a Lindt ball... There is a twelve hour window of ediblity for those if they fall... Even if they have fire ants all over them, you brush them off and it's good... You never toss a Lindt because it fell on the floor, or the dog had it in its mouth... Falling in the toilet or cat litter box is user discretion, but floor... Maybe in Times Square or a Nassau Coliseum men's room... But ordinary floor... Nada.

Lindt chocolates are proof of alien technology.
