I had no idea you are partly toeless, but I hope whatever the cause was, it is all better now... or as better as it can be. After reading that though, I have no real complaints today.

breaking news with windows 10, clicking on the pictures app will not open pixologic zbrush.   It just opens the picture app.

  • XyetztXyetzt Posts: 27,487

other breaking news, pressing the x button on Zbrush closes it even when you mean to press the resize window button.

Actually, I'm really lucky.  When I was living in Austin, I was walking home late one night after listening to a band, got home, took off my shoes and noticed my left shoe was smeared with blood.  A quick exam showed that part of a broken bottle had pierced the front underside of my shoe and given me a slashing.  I cleaned it up with alcohol, hit it with Neosporin, but 3 days later it was getting worse so into the E.R. for me.  While there, they discovered my diabetes, so despire losing those toes to a bone infection, they (a) saved the 3 biggest toes and (b) got my blood glucose under control.

All in all that accident cost me 2 toes but probably saved my life in the long run as my doc never tested my blood glucose before.  I might have ended up with worse nerve damage or even gone undiagnosed until I went into a diabetic coma! I got off easy!!!

...I need to win the Megabucks so I can do the "endless summer" thing.

April - September in the northern hemisphere September to April in the southern.

Or maybe just someplace close to the equator, like Hawaii.

I'm up way too late.  Just put the new freebie in the cart.  When I try to Proceed to Checkout, it says "The requested Payment Method is not available."  I guess I'll leave it in the cart and see if that is fixed tomorrow.  Good night.

Try going to the SHopping Cart and refreshing to make sure the item price and the total both say $0.00, then go to Checkout.

Well, I'm back home.  No further major misfortunes.

After friday's mud experience and "bridge-out" situation the rest of the trip doesn't compare.  However, I did get taken to dinner at a posh hotel on the Gulf beach in Naples Florida where I saw the sunset, complete with the green flash, and a marlin jump, and I had scallops for dinner.  Mmm, yum.  Haven't had scallops in 20 years!  yes

I went back to Universal Studio on Monday to use up my 3rd day of my ticket but discovered that there would be no Halloween Fright Night again until Friday. sad Bummer!  However, I got to see the new movie "Everest" that was playing in IMAX 3D in the cinema complex at Universal's "CityWalk" area so that was a plus! Yea! yes   Unfortunately, I'd arrived too late to get an ECV (mini-golfcart) to ride around on so I walked until I couldn't walk anymore which wasn't very long.  But I did manage to get a marvelous salmon lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.  (cool!)  And after all this, I'm now all Universal'd out.  I've had all the Universal excitement I can handle.  I've seen everything I wanted to see, twice.  But... but... I did get a peek at what's to come.  "King Kong Island"!!!!  The exterior is almost ready and looks really cool from what you can see of it over the top of the fence.  So maybe in a year or two or three I'll get a chance to get back.

I'm home now, and the two-day (22 hours) drive back was much harder on me than the drive down.  My feet were sore and swollen, my knees were sore, I was tired and had to fight fatigue each afternoon at my normal nap time.  Then just when I thought I was getting near home I got stuck on I-79 north of Pittsburgh behind some HUGE LONG object being transported somewhere.  The convoy tranporting the object involved two huge truck-type vehicles and about 6 other escort vehicles travelling at 50 mph and wouldn't let anybody pass until they came to a long straight stretch because when the object went around curves it took up all the lanes! surprise  It took nearly an hour for me to get up to to the point where I could finally pass and resume 65 mph speed.

It worked OK when I went back to it.  I've seen issues with new items like this before, though.  Either the price isn't correct or it can't find the item, this error was a new one, though.
