@masterstroke you are right. It is a Nazi uniform minus the emblems. As a German, I'm saddend to see that politics are being dragged into my hobby. What's next? Russian and Chinese uniforms?
I can see the use for WW2 battle renders, initially I thought a bit off but rethought that history shouldn't be erased rather learnt from
Have to agree with you, Charlie does look good, real, and have realistic proportions. He looks like the 'man-nextdoor' rather than a 'man-mountain who lives at the gym'.
I also have to agree with you that the Charlie 9 clothing (eg the Uniform Styles) don't seem to drape & hang as well as say Mal3Imagery's G8M Two-Piece Business Suit . Mal3Imagery's clothing is quite remarkable, so it's possible this is more of a reminder of the 'normal' standard we should expect. The elbows in the uniform jacket and the drape of the leg fabric are where I feel most disappointment that it's not at Mal3Imagery's level. However, that are not bad, just have an unfairly good comparison.
Regards,
Richard
The theme of Charlie's bundle is obviously World War II, so including a Nazi-inspired uniform is not surprising. A Russian-inspired uniform of the same era would actually be a good complement.
or a Brit, of Free French, etc.
You say that as if an American or British uniform would be apolitical.
Showing historical things is not (necessarily) political, although there are obviously cases in which it can become so.

In general if there seem to be cases in which they are being used politically please report them to the forum team, rather than discussing them publicly.
History is inherently political, as any decision about how history is presented - which stories are and are not told, and how - will be informed by politics.
The underground fighting pit would be great if it only had low-poly or billboard characters as audience. What am I supposed to do with an empty stadium.
Train? Sound checks? Reherse the compare's speech?
Good question, actually.

Richard
Political: first off, nobody is dragged anywhere to, and you're not obliged to buy. A good percentage of artwork made from 3d-assets is and will always be political. There is and must be nothing wrong with it, unless you were already living in a space, where those uniforms have contemporary relevance again, in a broader sense, in terms of what they connect to historically, assuming repression dealt for it.
For sarcastic reasons i am doing without a sarcastic comment on which sets could be regarded as missing in this very context.
(To be distinguished from posting in the forums of a 3d-asset store, where political discussions might be banned. Totally different thing!)
Fill it with LowPi? (or similar)
Might pick up the bundle or at least the UFS Bedroom. Reminds me of a scene straight from The Boys. Now all we need is Billy Butcher coming in the room to stop some supe debauchery.
Learn Houdini crowd sims?
Don't be silly. We're here to buy things, not to learn things!
And definitely not to render things!
Totally a buy day today, with 3Diva's Easy FilaToon!! I've been looking forward to that one since she mentioned working on it. Instabuy. It's looking AWESOME and fun!!

And while I'm at it, esha's tree swing garden looks very sweet, and I can pop those designed-for-FilaToon plants and trees into other scenes. Then the AO toon dalva hair is also looking too FilaToon romantic to resist... Might ending up being a bit of a splurge day after having participated very little so far in the March sale.
Princess Petra's vampire bedroom will have to go on the wishlist for now. Very pretty, but don't need it right away.
Legend has it that one day we will meet with elusive Princess Petra herself. One day...
The majority of DAZ's offerings seem to be lingerie and skimpwear lately. Why don't they just wrap the figures in strings of dental floss? They'd be more covered up. Really disappointed at the downward turn DAZ is taking into porno.
I finally had an opportunity to render a purchase of DA's Rottweiler. I was also playing with a light set I bought years ago, https://www.daz3d.com/render-studio-20--volumetric-plus that I just installed onto my Mac Mini M4 and decided to see if the lights could bring out his fur. I am pretty pleased with my result. Yeah that is a low bar, but I am happy. And to add to the mix, I kept thinking he was a Pitt Bull, but found out no, Rottweiler, different critter completely. Dear Design Anvil, may we get a Pitt Bull with all the lovely cuteness they have?
And if anyone is curious this render took about 14 minutes on my M4 with three lights, sized at 1000 by 1300. I sized it down for posting.

We'll have to wait and see! I do like that Princess Petra is such a muse that her PA creates all these great story-telling outfits, hairs and environments for her.
memcneil70 DA's Rottweiler looks very nice in your render.
He went on my wishlist on release day, as I don't need him in a hurry. I do probably have all of DA's doggies and every other dog breed from the store I think.
As for an American pitbull, do you already have Bully and his texture set? I really like that one. I did a render with Bully for one of the DAZ+ challenges some time back, let me go fish it out.
Need to add: I'd love it if someone would release a Newfoundland, St. Bernard and Great Pyrenees. Throw in an English sheep dog and Cocker Spaniel too...
Thank you.
And yes I do. I buy every dog/cat/horse product DAZ offers. I will try mixing Bully with the Rottweiller. I would like to add the American Eskimo or Spitz, but that is probably a limited interest.

The French Bags collection from today is such a great product. Each bag has opening morphs, lots of materials, and there's even content included - make up box, cell and such. AND there's a load of poses with the bags and the accessories as well. For a very affordable price, here: https://www.daz3d.com/se-collection-of-french-bags-for-genesis-9.
Well, in this case I should think the bags and all their accessories are still quite useable, even with G8, as they're props. And the poses are easily converted if you want to use them.
Now, it's not today's, but it is very recent: Cutting Cucumber is an oddity that I rather like. Not sure I'll have a lot of use for it, but it is nice.
And not far conceptually from some of the 'everyday stuff' freebies I've done and is in the range of model & pose set that attracts my notice. I like.

Richard
I neither peel or cut my cucumbers like that though
peeling, use a peeler and deliberately leave fine stripes of skin often score it with a fork too and soak in iced water if limp
I cut spears or on an angle never rounds
Yeah, that cutting cucumber product stood out to me in a way where I thought, "Well now, that's different!" I suppose if I want to make a scene where I need a closeup of cucumbers being sliced, it would help. A great example where you're doing a scene and you discover you need (need being a strong word) a random product, head to the store and actually see something useful! And hope that it's at least on sale.
