well tbh it's  a vienamese spambot sending messages in chinese about american universities or colleges.  very weird.

So when I lived up north, we had a fun game for anytime we read a fortune cookie.

Always end it with ... "in bed."  I think it might also work with Chinese spammers or even Vietnamese spammers writing in Chinese:  Hmmmm, let's find out!

"It's  a vienamese spambot sending messages in chinese about american universities or colleges....in bed."

    Hmmm, very thought provoking!cheeky

Simple, it's only posting from a single machine (device).

  • Please, no CAPTCHA here, there are enough problems, it's a good idea, but not here.
Yeah, I can already picture some of the ways that Magneto would screw that up.,

The CAPTCHA should only need to be a one time thing.

And the forums aren't Magento...so if there was a CAPTCHA on th forums, it wouldn't be Magento screwing anything up.

I still find the completed order prerequisite to allow posting.

Except that a newbie to DAZ3D might download the free stuff first and have questions before investing in products.  However, a daily posting limit might be a good idea for someone who hasn't spent any money yet.

I always get CAPTCHA  wrong,  and end up retrying too many times and get locked out.

they always have a D that looks like a b or an l that is an I or an H that is two ll's

A system that might work would be where you have CAPTCHA for accounts that have less than X (say 10) posts. A spambot usually starts spamming immediately, and does not hang around, have casual conversations at first, THEN spam. :)

A CAPTCHA for users that don't have at least one complete order with a Total of at least $5.00.

New item in the store: SPAM license: $5

That's not right! Don't you see, it'll make your coffee cup slip off the cup holder!

    Does spam contain pork?

  • Does spam contain pork?

In my culinary opinion: No. I believe Kelsey Grammer summed up spam years ago in an episode of Frasier "Something that was once Ham"...  Unless you are Hawaiian, then it is a delicacy....

  • Just caught a spammer in the Art forum!  Same ol' Chinese stuff.  At least it's easy to tell from the post title.

I would rather have bacon.  That reminds me, I've got to put some shoulder roast in the slow cooker, like, right now!  laugh

Deleting my DAZ 3D cookies solved it for me. I had to sign in again of course, but since then I have not been logged out. It's been about four days and counting for me.

It contains a lot of stuff from a pig. ;-)

I just saw a piece on CBS Sunday Morning a few weeks ago about Spam, and Hormel claims it is only pork shoulder or something similar. If they are to be believed, it does not contain pig lips and pig anuses, although I have no idea about cheap hot dogs!

And yeah, the Hawaiians love their Spam. Goes back to WWII when it was used as C-Rations for our soldiers. My Grandpa on my Dad's side, may he rest in peace, fought in Europe, and until the day he died would not allow Spam in his house. Had enough of it for a lifetime during the war, he said.

Okay thanks.  I always thought pepperoni comes from odd pig parts?
