He's tired, he feels old and dirty, like his clothes. These 'High Maintenance' G3 females wear him out.

For how long will he manage to hang on to his job, this G2 Man?

    LOL!

edit: new version (Octane Render for DAZ Studio).

    ...most impressive.

So I tried to make my own skin shader from scratch in octane by following some of these tips from Mec4D in this thread

    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/813374/

I know they are for iray but I tried to see how much of it I could try and match up.

It's Michael 5, could be he's a bit resentful for being forgotten and abandoned by so many so quickly ; )

LOL. I could see why you would say that. However someone else might get mad...Scarlet wants to know why you're tossing out that quote when she's not around!

I quickly borrowed one of Helena's dresses and redid some bits for Scarlet and let this cook for 5 minutes. Scarlet is still on Octane 1.x because I haven't had time to rework her for 2.x. Render would have been lots faster on 2x. But I still have a separate install of DS just for Octane 1.x so it's not hard to open that up to give her a quick render.

No postwork other than the signature. That includes no contrast/saturation changes. Was just meant to be a quick fun render but might actually go back and tweak this one day. OK I just realized small pokethrough in a potentally tos violating area and I fixed that ;) But I still call this as raw of a render as allowedwink
@mjc1016 you made me do a quick render of Scarlet. smiley

...yikes, Nun with a Gun. Don't want to get on her bad side in the classroom.

  • I used DS Iray for the first two with sun-sky environment with some haze as well. The last one is with IRAY also, but sun only.

so i wanted to tinker more with the OOC memory functionality with Octane as I rarely have to use it much. So as a purely technical test I threw 5 characters into a sloppy scene and didn't try to pose them right or fix clothing issues. This way I could get a scene that needed like 6 GB of Vram. I have a 660ti and a GTX760, the 760 is the bottleneck cuda and Vram wise. Only 2 GB. So about 3.5 GB of OOC memory was used, about double the 1852MB used on the two cards.

Oh and the body suit on the right i didn't set up the diffuse materials but it did get some bump lol.

Rendered @ 5.34Ms, which is not bad considering. Took 2 mins 29 seconds.

I did another test with all but one girl removed, jumped to 12Ms and all fit on the cards. took 30 seconds lol. but still for all that stuff in the image 5M isn't bad at all. I did a forest scene that ran at 0.8M.
