It is 94 outside which is too hot for my outfit.
Morning. Warmish a little after dawn with blue/black stormclouds rolling in. Have to head off across town and hoping the traffic won't be too bad :)

...that used to be a normal day for me after my company moved to the west side of the metro area. Average of 4 hrs 30 min a day just getting to and coming home from work, with about another 30 min before I had to clock in for the morning as taking the next bus would have risked my getting there late.
When they moved they told me it was right off the west side tram line, but neglected to say, by about a mile walk which included having to deal with a steep embankment and walking along an active railway spur with switches.
...Camelday complaints;
All my joints and bones aching badly today. Feel like I'm fifteen years older as every move is painful. Took a walk up to the nearby park as the sun came out in the afternoon and it took me twice as long (scary crossing the busy street that runs through the neighbourhood). So much for cleaning and packing things up today..
Noisy morning as they were stripping the hardwood floors upstairs.
Non Complaints:
Homemade tacos with Hatch chiles for dinner tonight.
Again, a nice partly sunny day with temps in the low 70s. Been good sleeping weather.
Oh, that's great! Enjoy it!
Dana
Big event in town tonight. I live just a few hundred feet from the little town park with the gazebo so I can hear when there's music being played there. I popped on my shoes (and pants) and waddled over to see what it was. Tonight it was a concert of guitar gospel music sponsored by one church group or another. There were about 25 people (big crowd for this town!) sitting at the picnic tables and benches under the trees. Average age was about 70 so I was a youngster. But I found what I came for. There was a table selling hotdogs and baked goods. I grabbed a couple of forbidden (by the doctor) goodies, doubled the asking price for a donation and slunk away back home, cackling with delight at my handful of my favorite poisons. Gospel and churches are not my bag but they're populated by good people and can use another couple of dollars. And besides, the two gazebo events in the summer and the turkey raffle in the fire hall in November and the Memorial Day parade in May are the only things that ever happen in this town and I try to make a showing if only to get an overpriced hotdog.
Memorial Day Parade is really big deal. Lasts for almost a half hour. High School band, kids on bicycles, horses, carriages, old cars, really old cars, motorcycles, fire trucks, Boy Scouts, moms & baby strollers, town officials, veterans, dogs, clowns passing out candy. Not bad for a tiny town with perhaps 50 houses and three businesses.
I had problems today as well, maybe teh interweb caught a cold :)
My family threatened intervention so I'm taking a few weeks *cough* Dunno what all the fuss was about, everyone except me has got some dreadful flu bug right now and I was out in the worst of the weather the past coupla months so go figure. Being fair I guess if I'm so tired I can't untie my own bootlaces iz time for a lil r&r maybe, I dunno what the overworking warning signs are really, you would think there would be sirens or buzzers or something red-lettered :)
Mmmmmmm Tacos, I'm really bad at Tacos but appreciate eating lots :) Iz a bit springy here altho it looks cold right now. not really spring for me intil the magnolias start to bloom :)
Been thinking of stuff to enjoy like maybe getting out on the water a bit but I just slept for around a fortnight on and off and still feeling a bit dozy so maybe later, iz just not quite warm enough to sleep outside so I turned on all the compys instead, guess I can laze around in front of them for a while :)
Smallest towns put on a show for Anzac day here, is part of the charm and longevity of those I think :)
I got a new wireless adapter so that is not it. It was probably the cable modem. I unplugged it for a bit and replugged it and it worked.
On other notes Tom Mison has a sexy voice. I was listening to one of his audio books. A lot of backstory which was fine because he has such a great voice.

Watch a movie, read a book (not work related), play a game you haven't played in a long time but enjoy. Go out when it's warmer. I should listen to my own advice. Getting a bit stressed.

...Thor's Day morning complaints
Woke up all stiff and achy again today even though the weather site says today is "beneficial" for arthritis.
People upstairs sanding the floors again, though they didn't start as early as yesterday. Not so much bothered by the big machine thye are using (that just makes a low hum) but the hand sander is obnoxious.

Non Complaints:
Received a notice for a Warehouse Coordinator position. Sounds like just up my alley as it involves all of the management tasks I did at my last company with no requirement to drive a forklift or lift 75 - 100#. It's also on my side of town. Sent off an email with resume.
Nice September day today, sunny, 70s. Good weather for the grocery run later.
Thanks - and SURPRISE! There are NO synthesizers.. every sound in this was made using a single 48 second sample of a creaky door!
It was one Hell of an effort, too.. urgh..
