I like the idea of a more zaftig base. Cool.
So Bethany will be curvy I guess. Nice! Can´t wait : )
Wow, based on those dress images, i can say Bethany will not be a buy for me. i guess i could put her on a diet though, LOL.
My guess would be that she will be more voluptuous than Olympia.
No Bethany for me!!
Well, the release date was really unexpected and out of usual pattern. I really hope that we will get Micheal 7 at the beginning of September because of that )
Wow... Not even half-way in the month... -_-"
Way early for the normal release. Perhaps this means g3m/ M7 will be at the normal release time this month??
considering the efforts daz3D did for their software including the move to iRAY, taking into account the schedule of g3F content (already 3 main char pro bundles and MANY add-on -poses, morph, outfit...- ) I'm guessing that G3M is already in the daz calendar in september. (probably with michael 7 and soon after another one).
what we really need now is tools to convert our assets especially a tool to convert G2->G3
There are already tools for most things. Poses, clothes are easy. Shapes can be done manually. Skins not so much but I wouldn't expect any store sold solution for this. There is a multi step process using blender that some have had success with. Not sure what else you expect, except a paid solution to transfer shapes more easily. Thing is once you know how to transfer shapes you don't need to wait for a dedicated tool to do it...I transfered over shapes weeks ago..
like you sais, there is no easy way to convert a G2 to a G3. (many manual steps including the use of blender/zbrush with some knowledge of them). that is the main lack for now.
Shapes: almost same problem.
Shapes use the same method we have used for years with the transfer utility. It is no different than how we transfer shapes from V4 to genesis, or genesis to Genesis 2. The only area of challenge that is new is extreme head shapes like toons, where as historically those didn't really pose additional concern.
Transfering textures is a whole new world, requiring external tools many of us don't use normally. So the processes are on totally different levels.
Okay so my thoughts based on the promos because I have not bought her yet:
Face - Love it! Nice realistic features!
Body - Love it! Not my personal preference, I like petite ladies but I love that she is something rather different!
Skin - Here I´d like to advice daz to not make all the promos under the same lighting conditions because all skins then get the same tint. I think that Bethany and Eva were made under the same (or very similar) lighting conditions and even though Eva has a lighter skin tone, the tint is very similar.
But yeah, love it! : )
So, how does Bethany look to you?
To me she looks like a mix of an islander and an Italian gangster diva : )
Anyways, did not expect to see her this soon, now can we PLEASE GET GENESIS 3 MALE/MICHAEL 7? Before the ladies take over the world again : D
Not impressed at all with Bethany, not the face nor the body. Would like to have seen a darker character released before a full figured one, even one for the current Eva 7. Can't wait until Dimension3D releases the genx3 add on and also can't wait for DraagonStorm to release a skin converter and for the legacy shapes for Gen3 come out so I can use my lovely brown V4, Gen and Gen2 skins on genesis 3
I wasn't overly fond of the face, but I do like figure options. What I have here is a small render of V7 with a bit of Bethany dialed in. Can't show all for obvious reasons. She has V7's face softened some also V7's texture. Her slightly heavier frame Is a nice change for me.
Jpayne2014, that's a beautiful girl, I am fond of the base victoria 7 face better than any of the subsequent characters Daz has released for her. And as for the body, I have always been able to create various voluptuous body types with the Genesis Female Body Morphs. So I didn't see a need to create a fresh character built on that larger body before they started releasing ethnic skinned characters
Oh and yes, where are the boys?
I must admit that I didn't bother with Eva, but Bethany I can work with
40% Bethany
70% Succubus
I posted this over in my Art Studio thread, but since this is the Bethany thread, will share here also. This is Bethany with Summer skin, with the hips, bust, and thighs reduced to varying degrees. I love the weight in her arms (not changed at all) and the fullness of her legs (not changed.) It gives her a solid look. The face was also customized. Hopefully buyers will see past the face and body and realize the potential for customizing the figure.
I am doing my own settings in Surfaces to get rid of the awful orange materials which seem to be common for Genesis 3 Females. Hope the males don't suffer from the same affliction.
my latest render of Bethany
OK, so here we go. First Bethany render, first iRay render - heck first render I post here at all. Need a bigger machine. Took half an hour on my old MacBook Pro - with small dimensions and low render settings. By the way how do I embed images or is that done automatically?
Rod Wise: What lighting did you use? It looks fantastic.
@timmins.william: That's "Ultra Genesis Studio Vol 1 Box Light" by Syyd and Traveler available over there at RuntimeDNA. You might hurry as it's on sale right now. I just used some presets as I purchased it just recently myself. Took the simple "I want to render now" approach.
Yea, that's in my cart over there and there is another really nice set over at 'Rosity called SV's INTENSITY Iray Lights & Settings by Sveva, snapped that up!
Aaaand I just stumbled on a set of morphs I had installed and somehow overlooked that... includes a nose turning morph, exactly what I was looking for.
DOH.
Maybe I'll try another stab at Elisabet.
Ah, much better. This uses some Die Trying morphs.
