Hilarious. Was that really from 1976?

BTW, thanks for the insert image trick.

Right... there is nothing like more cowbell, I see it now. It's not like there is nothing to learn in the RRRR cheeky

Thanks for the complement Linwelly. I wasn't sure I had the lighting all that well wih the extra glowing orbs in there (or on the other one for that matter). Yes the Austrani Outfit for G3F comes with 3delight mats (or the Iray one looks really good in 3delight).. The Ladybug outfit predates Iray, and I don't think it has Iray mats.

Iray is also a drag here, and I don't dig 'Post processing' all that much at all, if ever. I let 3delight do the work of shading and lighting for me.

I guess some products need, more 3delight, lol.

    Hover-Ferry Operator

Although it was free to cross the bridge, not everybody wanted the effort of climbing all those stairs. Julianna and her brothers decided to start up a hover-ferry service, hoping it would be a real money-spinner.
So far their only customer was their indulgent and long-suffering father, but they hoped business would improve with time.

    Also Used:
Julianna - FW Julianna, V5 Summer Set clothing, Flower Power sandals

Somehow I don't think I'll manage to do another entry in the time remaining, but maybe I'll change my mind tomorrow. Meanwhile...

@Totte #9 - I feel the pain! (Hate "amusement" parks myself) Nicely done.
#10 - (sounds like an eminently sensible idea to me) I like the colours very much, really nice one.
@Toyen #1 - congratulations on joining the mayhem! That's a fine start laugh
@Totte #11 - oooh I wouldn't like that job much! (You'd have to really trust the director frown) That's a lovely render though.
@ZarconDeeGrissom - when are you going to roll up your sleeves and do an actual entry? I think you'd be a natural.
@Totte #12 - (congratulations on reaching the magic number 12) I knew music was the answer to any infestation...

Back briefly and the whole forum looks different. Probably no time for a third one.

thanks Totte, Luci45, MelanieL, Lineally, Emsim for your comments

MelanieL #04  What an excellent business for the summer!  But with that thunderstorm about to break i wonder about the safety.  Good one!
#03  Great concept! coordinate everything into RGB and follow the money.

Toyen #1 Well done! i like the lighting effects from the drones

Totte #12  nice use of widescreen.  and how appropriate that music can not only calm the savage breast but also drive monsters away. i guess you d have to choose different music for each type of infestation. kazoo music for geology professors etc
#11  i never thought of that but why should nt the french aristocracy hire peasants to double for them at their executions.  did t they do that in the highlander and maybe the scarlet pimpernel.  really great costume and set design
#10  They must be part of sky net.  sure glad? those robots can t be hacked and no fallible humans wrote their programs. and hope the overseer does t get too lonely playing tic tac toe with the robots. like the color and contrast
#09  That is good planning by the park management. I m surprised that more people aren t carried out of these ultra reality rides.  Like the point of view from behind the one way mirror
#08  LOL! Hope he s got something warm and tasty in that bottle.  that s one job i would nt touch with a metal pole.
#07  Shantistan is coming up in the world if they ve gotten air traffic controllers. must be a challenge keeping the air traffic away from those power lines. great concept!
#06  Everybody hates the ref. and he has to avoid making the trolls mad. fun posing

Luci45 #13  LOL!  Is that Hollywood Blvd near Western in the background. I think i ve walked behind the dude in the green dress down Hollywood but at that time he had a color coordinated poodle.
#12  like the dynamics of the scene. Those croc s must be really a delicacy to send a poacher all the way to earth to nab them. donald sutherland as the game warden?
#11  They really do need a keeper. hope she can keep them in bounds!  good one!
#10  Ha!! Great concept!  grog would be appropriate… and also maybe peanuts… transport beams cause havoc with the b vitamins.
#09  Putting the minotaur to work making his own labyrinth? it ll keep him busy in between greek heroes. nice one!
#08  As a parking assistant he gets to drive all those fancy alien vehicles. must be loving it.  Great character action and expressions

ZarconDeeGrissom  Ha! playing go fish in a hot tub?!!

Ostadan #01  Wonder if the yeast rises better underground.  Nice one!

Emsim #02  Better for him to be testing in the field than an indoor arcade!  good one!!

Obanion #01  That pixie better be careful… i can t see how anyone can resist swatting it!  nice one!!

Linwelly #5  Disposable paper dresses? i bet there s a lot of resales. and a conversation substitute… just let your date read the sports section instead of having to talk.  Nice one!
#04  LOL! Getting sea sick in a turret must be a real problem for everyone!

    Wooden Weapon Welder

Luckily Muck's lousy Loveboat Launching didn't last long. He perused the paper page by page in pursuit of a part-time position. Whoa! What have we here - Wooden Weapon Welder Wanted! Wonderful! Muck wagered welding wooden weapons would be worthwhile work. So he scampered south to Skeleton Skunkworks, where happily he was hired. Hip Hip Hooray! ... Fast forward: Fire and flame foretell Muck's firing. Whoops! Well...What now...

    Mystic Lost Property Tracer

"Lost something? Just shuffle the cards, think hard about your missing property and when you last saw it, then Madame Arcana will be able to locate it for you!"
Well, that's what the advert promised. Locke's "lost something" was a little larger than average and not so much lost as stolen by a few renegade crewmen, but still he hoped that the lady could help.

@Luci45 "Not an entry" - I wish I were as prolific this month as you! What a shame you ran out of entry slots - this one's great! The man at the front reminds me of a cheap UK reality TV "star" called Peter Andre (actually I think he's originally Australian, but he spends a lot of time on cheap UK TV shows)
@Gopherus - thank you for your comments on my last two - I think they thought a stormy day would be good for business, but I see what you mean about the danger.
@barbult #2 - Yippee! Muck's back!! Lovely pose (and superb poofy pants) and I really love the alliteration in the text. And the mouse came back too.

  • luci45luci45 Posts: 2,882

OMG, a barbult classic! And our beloved Muck returns! And wearing the poofy pants! He may be better off incarcerated for his own safety, though in all fairness welding wooden weapons is possibly beyond anyone's skill level. Awesomely amazing and apt alliterations!

    Thanks, Totte, MelanieL, gopherus, Linwelly

Linwelly#5 Nice render! I never saw the paper dress before.
MelanieL#3 Ibrahim can make a good living doing that! LOL, fascinating how the color changes amke one look from her to there, and funny - a great idea.
Totte#7 - Hilarious! I love the way you landed the skyships on the HDR lanscape.
Totte#8 Great idea and wonderful use of the pull! (Who else would think of something like that? And you ask what I'm using?)
Totte #9 Hehehe, so cool! Maybe you shouldn't mention that - it could happen.
    Totte #10 I like it!
Toyen #1 Nice one! I love the glowing drones. Interior renders with emitting surfaces can really take forever even with a fast graphics card.
Totte#11 I love this one. Not sure how it works though - reattaching the head? Even Tom Cruise wouldn't do his own stunt on this one.
    ZarconDeeGrissom - a fun "Off-Topic non-entry".
Totte#12  Number 12! Haha, is his playing that bad? I used to have a dog that slinked out of the room with a pained look on her face when I played the guitar, so I know this can be done.
MelanieL#4 Those LBs lead to bizarre ideas. Nice one!
    MelanieL#5 Nice use of pull!

Barbult #03  For Mighty Muck the flames did suck, should he try anew, try superGoo.  the adventure continues…. Good one!

MelanieL #05  Finding his ship and getting it back may be something different. Since Locke got marooned in the desert near the Skunkworks perhaps Muck can be of assistance as he seems currently available for adventuring. Nice one!

I found where i left off for number 3

    Dyno Wash Engineer

It was Oh Dark Thirty when Nefasto showed up for his new engineering job. He had graduated with honors with a degree in Applied Engineering from CalPoly. He was ready to take on the world and was looking for a dynamic company to launch his career. Maybe he should have googled the company before accepting, assuming that they actually had a web site.

    ...hehhehheh.

Remember, always do your research first.

Well looks like won't make it this month.  After a couple days of thought, hit on a pretty good theme. Just got into working on it when *WHAP!*, smacked to the ground by RL again (and this time it doesn't look good). NO need to go into the messy details, but suffice to say it pretty much sapped the ol' artistic muse and ambition.

Have fun with the last 90 minutes (even If I got the scene finished wouldn't have time to render).

These days, Money is the root of all angst.

Title: Fairy Tale Creature Casting Director
Larry knew that the actors didn't like to be type-cast, but he honestly hadn't thought that Comet and The Caterpillar would even take the time to audition for "Crypt of The Damned," what with Elvira (Mistress of the dark) vying for the part...

MelanieL#4 haha - I just love the idea, great one!
    luci45 (<void>9 - You need a contest?? I have one in mind….. Stay tuned
barbult #2 - What a classical one! And I read that the Procrastinators Anonymous was founded 9 years ago, but they haven’t had they first meeting yet.
MelanieL#5 - Great idea - but what if she loses her power, can she find it through the cards?
Gopherus #03 - Haha, nice idea, disappointment ;-)
Karibou #5 - The traditional las minute one, poor guy, we know those bastards can a pain to direct!

    And: Contest closed!

Thank you: Luci, Gopherus and Totte.
    @Gopherus #3 - oh his poor suit, I think that'll be ruined!
@Karibou #5 - with that pose, it looks like the caribou is auditioning for the werewolf character?

Good luck to all the entrants! Thanks for providing a lot of laughter and a bit of awe...

  • GopherusGopherus Posts: 1,108

thanks MelanieL, Totte, Kyoto Kid for your comments

@Karibou #05  Truly a casting head ache... if he takes Comet he was to wrap the project before Comet's ongoing christmas gig. and what if the caterpillar chooses a vital scene to turn into a butterfly... he d have to complete the movie with a look alike, like that dentist that substituted for bela lugosi in his last pic.  A well done submission to cap the summer contest!

gopherus #3 - I love it so twisted. laugh

Kyoto Kid, sorry you couldn't get the render done. You always have such great stuff. I hope RL starts treating you better soon.

Totte, I look forward to any relief - I'm have withdrawl symtoms already.

It was another fun contest. Thank you Totte and all!

Thanks for running another great RRRR, Totte.  Sorry I didn't manage my time better to participate during the second half.  I will have to do another marathon render review before voting.  Something to look forward to because everyone does such amazing work.
