    Now when I click on a thread, it takes me to the end of the thread (great improvement) but it also takes me to the end of the first entry I haven't read, so I have to scroll up one to carry on. It need to take me to the end of the last one I have read.

    Crikey, at the development company I used to work for, we would beat up the software something silly before ever releasing it to the public.

    ...all of these recent changes have been causing me to rapidly lose interest in this pursuit.

    The AoA cameras and lights, which were my go to utilities before Iray have been crippled since ver. 4.7 due to changes to the shader mixer (most likely to accommodate the then forthcoming Iray).

    I also still believe that the timing of the release of 4.7 shortly before the release of Reality4 had a major hand in the plugin's stability issues.

    3DL has pretty much been pushed to the "back of the bus" for Iray.

    G3F is useless without throwing buckets of money at it as it has the least amount of compatibility yet with older generation content, including Genesis and G2..

    Now the forums have been messed up by Megento (which according to many developers I know is the worst website software in existence).

    This was once a fun place to be and a fun pursiut to be involved in. We are not high paid pros using 3DS Max, Daz3D is not Turbosquid, yet is seems this is the direction things are heading.

    I've got little notes showing up next to each thread showing how many new posts it has since the last time I was in it.  "2 new," "5 new," etc.  I liked the last updated time stamps too but I think this is actually more useful to me.

    BTW I think it was Gigi_7 who said if we change our names it would fix the looping issue, but I do know that Daz believes they know the cause of the problem. They haven't said when it would be fixed (or even if they could fix it) but I'm not going to change my name...so I'll wait it out.

    What I do now is browse the forum with a different browser not logged in, then when I want to reply post the link into the browser I am logged into. then force stop the page load so I can post lol. Only cause I'm bored at work and don't feel like thinking about work stuff...but hopefully it gets fixed so we can use the forums for real.

    This is probably a dumb question since I haven't been following the issue, but is "keep me signed in" checked?  I was having some weird looping issues where it would sign me in an out when I came back to the forums after a couple hours and when I signed in through the store and checked that box it stopped.

    OK, another question to throw on the fire.

    How can we bookmark individual posts?  For example the 999 post Iray thread.  I want to bookmark just one post for later, not the entire thread.

    Excuse me but how do I disable avatars? This was amazing function in previous forum.

    Also, ignore function doesn't work. I've tried to renew my ignore list and still see the messaged from ignored people. Trying to add them manually through the profile center gives me an error of overly full ignore list which is supposed to be unlimited and has 0 people in. 

     

    Oh, do I need to mention that new forums look hideous and is a major pain to use? There is no topic pagination when you look them up from the main list of forum so you need to remember on which page you left your messages last time you posted if you need to read all new ones. 

    Notifications don't work, not on forum, not on emails, even if I set them to almost everything "yes" in settings. I still see pictures in signatues, even when I chose to not see pictures in signatures. There is no quick reply form. There is no way to make text smaller and everything is huge as if made to be seen on cell phone, signatures expecially. Design feels floaty, as if not a single cohesive thought went into it.

    You want to bookmark in your browser?

    You click on the date of that message under the avatar - this is the direct link.

    If you go to the little guy (to go to your main store account), once you click on him, it says about My Account, Wishlist, etc. Switch Theme is where you can switch to the dark theme. I very confusedly sorted that out yesterday. I apparently had forgotten it was there all together DOH! *blush*

    You welcomed. I was playing around to see what I could do with embedding pictures last night when i stubbled on to this secert ..lol

    I wonder when daz is finshed if we can embeeded html tags like we use too? and what would be really cool is if we could embed out Videos into the post instead of a link

    while that is a pain, i would take that over my twilight zone experience any day LOL.  most people who have things to do would give up in my case, but I'm stubborn.

    You can click on the timestamp below the posters name. This will put the link in the browser address bar.

    Just clicking normally on the thumnail should bring up the full size image.  It works for me.

    So how do I search a forum ? The search at the top of the forum goes to the store      :oS

    I would search this thread for "how do I search this forum" as I'm sure it's been asked before, but ...      ;o)

    I used them in just about all my cross links. You know, a sort of fall-back, just in case the URLs somehow got screwed up in the future...  LOL
