Skyler Clothing

The new Skyler character is intriguing, as I had not expected such a young G3F-based character quite this soon.
I am a bit confused between the Skyler G2F and G3F clothing packages. The descriptions appear to be identical and do not make mention of jeans or boots, but only the Skyler G3F bundle images show the jeans and boots. Are the jeans and boots included with both versions of the clothing package, or only with the G3F version, or are they part of a forthcoming release?

Greetings,
The part that gets me is that the DRESS is heavily featured in the promos, but is not listed in the items included... The boots look like an older characters boots, as do the jeans, but is the dress really not included? Or is it also from something in the past that I should already have...? :)

It seems some of the marketing text went bye-bye. The Character/Hair doesn't include clothing, the clothing items shown in the renders are converted from other figures.
The Clothing sets for both G3 and G2 include the dress - we'll get DAZ to update the text.
Is the top with the jeans and boots combo available in the daz store?
Please see me previous post. The Jeans and boots are converted from my AikoToon 4 character
Greetings,
Found the file list which helped a lot!
The boots and jeans [strike]are[/strike] appeared to be from Everyday which is a great set.
The thing I have to decide is if I should buy both bundles, for convenience...or if that's absurd splurging. :)

P.s. I'd love a place to exchange 'known good' translations of outfits. So as long as I own Everyday, someone could share a recipe that they confirmed would do a clean conversion to G/G2/G3. Not everyone gets the same results right now, and it'd be great to crowd source the wholesale conversion of earlier items, in a way that preserved the requirement that users own the earlier item.
Please see me previous post. The Jeans and boots are converted from my AikoToon 4 characterSilly Q probably, tho seeing as the "Edit monkeys" have shown up again, lol.
In the past, Head/body Morph sets were sometimes needed, same for Skyler G3F, or not?
Skyler is a full figure morph. Due to her proportions being a lot more petite because of her age, seperate body/head morphs looked weird.
My sincerest apologies, I was referring to the G3F bundles at the store.
Genesis 3 Female Body Morphs
Genesis 3 Female Head Morphs
Styler doesn't require any addition body/head morph sets, only the base G2F and G3F figures.
Sounds good, thanks.
I've seen the "Edit monkeys" cut out entire paragraphs mid sentence. So I had to ask. I'm off to flush some of the wishlist threw the shopping cart.
:)
The Iray materials for the hair is looking for data in G2F when it should be G3F.
As she is a full morph, not using the "standard" base character morphs, will other store clothing autofit to her? I'm only asking about in the G2F version right now but the same question applies to both.
Thanks.
Other clothes should morph automatically to adjust to her shape. The result may or may not be good, as always with auto-follow.
Yes, clothing will auto fit to the Styler shape
Thanks :)
Looking at the clothing, each item has a "Skyler Fit Morph" but this is not explained. What does it do?
By the way - the promo renders are all Iray. I hope someone can post a 3Delight version for comparison.
This morph is a custom morph to fit the item in question to Skyler without using DAZ Studio's autofit feature. It is set automatically when the clothing is put on the Skyler character.
Thank you.
I really ought to figure out how and when autofit works for all figures. Some clothing fits pretty well no matter how I morphs my characters but there are many times when I have to fix the autofit mess in Blender.
OT - I second the earlier request for conversion recipes. I've tried with V4 to G2F using the recommended tools and had very little success.
(EDIT)
The outfits do not have the Iray logo on them. It has been a general trend of late, to only put the logo on the Iray ones. So the outfit may possibly be 3delight, more then likely.
Most of the times that auto fit fails is when the clothing items have a lot of detail that gets buckled when the auto fit does it's magic. Also figure shapes that are extreme in nature can make quite a mess of auto fit. I generally find that adding smoothing to the figure sorts out most auto fit issues.
Our method of converting items (like the jeans, boots, top in our Skyler character renders) involved creating a custom clone shape for Genesis, V4, M4, K4, A4 etc. for the new Genesis 3 Female figure. This gives us the ability to simply drop V4/whatever clothing onto the Genesis 3 Female and select the figure the clothing was originally made for.
Is this ability to create custom clones something restricted to vendors? I paid for the MallenLane V4 to G2F clone but still had little success. Skirts were distorted when posed and pants had big polygon shards sticking out of the back.
Anyhow, I'd also like to congratulate you on your skills - you have a real talent for cute. I really like your toonish characters as well.
Now that's information that would be worth coughing up for. I would love to know how you did that.
I am utterly astonished at how good this character looks - really, truly impressed. I love 3D Universe characters in general, but this one looks like a must-have.
Can anyone who has her post some 3Delight renders? I'm wondering how much of the quality in the promotional images is down to Iray rendering. Also curious exactly what the differences between the G2F and G3F versions are.

Anyone could make a clone shape, but you'd have to have a good knowledge of what you're doing. Close fitting clothing generally works better with using a clone to convert due to the proximity of the clothing to the mesh when it's morphed.
Still, we've found the clone only get's you part of the way - some smoothing and cleaning up is generally required.
Thanks for your feedback - we really appreciate it!
My post seems to have got missed.
My post seems to have got missed.
Sorry wilmap - we'll look into this issue.
3D Universe- amazingly adorable character!!!!! :)
My post seems to have got missed.
There does seem to be a problem therein...
I'm still tallying what just transpired, then if it has not already been done (and assuming DIM has caught up to my Shopping-cart, lol), I will see what I can do in the "ZDG Test chamber". I am guilty of not getting the G2F one, just the G3F, as of now.
(EDIT)
If there both based on the same overall shape, and the mats have the same settings, is a side by side necessary?
So, let me get this clear in my own mind: clones are what can be created by using GenX (or GenX2)? I ask because I have both but don't understand the whole process of making V4 clothes fit G2F characters. Having said that, it is quite a while since I tried because my results were so poor.
