Thanks for the interest in my Swole Toon Hero shaping preset, nonesuch00 and GRFK DSGN Unlimited!
I tried to keep the number of required products to a minimum, but you know how I am. :)
Once applied, Genesis 9 should have a muscular/stylized shape that you can use as-is or continue to customize to your liking. I typically use this as a starter/base character and dial in other characters/shaping morphs to further customize and/or refine the figure.
In order to make use of the preset and achieve the shape as shown, you will need the following DAZ products:
and finally, the shaping preset (G9-SwoleToonheroMix-ShapePreset.duf) found attached below.
To use the shape preset:
1) Load the base Genesis 9 figure.
2) Select Genesis 9 in the scene.
3) Open the parameters tab and set the View SubD Level to 3 and the Render SubD Level to 3. These will show good detail. Adjust higher or lower as you see fit. I recommend 3 initially to see the shape properly.
4) Optionally, dial the FACS Detail Strength, Body Pose Detail Strength, and Flexion Automatic Strength to 100%. These are set to 0% in the base Genesis 9 figure by default.
5) Now you’re ready to apply the G9 Swole Toon Hero shaping preset. Locate the preset and apply it with Genesis 9 selected. You may also drag and drop the shape preset .DUF file from where you saved it onto the Genesis 9 figure in the viewport. Genesis 9 should then have the Swole Toon Hero shape applied.
6) The shape preset has set the various parameters to create the head and body shape. Please explore the various dial settings in the Currently Used section of the parameters tab.
7) Continue to customize the shape by adjusting the parameters to your liking and/or mixing in additional parameters that you have in your content library.
Thanks for trying out this shape preset. I hope you find it useful or informative. Please let me know if there are errors in the instructions or requirements and I will revise them.
SWOLE for Genesis 9 lets me shape the physique a lot like my Genesis 8 Male muscular base shape dial-up (which uses SWOLE for Genesis 8 Fibo and also Ezra for Brute.)
Toon Heroes for Genesis 9 lets me quickly adjust the overall proportions for a more heroic physique.
And the DAZ body/head shapes along with the Body Morph Kit allow me to refine the physique even more.
Other morph packs not used in this shaping preset give me more control and refinement, but I thought I'd try to limit myself to fewer products. :)
This is the Swole Toon Hero shaping preset with the new Lawrence and Nahuel characters mixed in. Some minor adjustments to pectorals outer height, hip width, waist lower width, neck volume, and traps size were used to accommodate the added figure shapes.
Base G9 with low/modest amounts of SWOLE, Toon Hero, Young Anime Heroes, Growing Up, and Nahuel dialed in. Also used the DAZ Body and Head Shape morphs to tweak the shape.
I'm happy with how that Swole Toon Hero base shaping preset worked out. It's fun to dial other figure morph body/head shapes in to see what looiks good.
Here's a G8.1M mixture of figures along with a new one from another store. Just playing around to see how well "The Barbarian" dials in with other figures.
and finally, the shaping preset (G9-SwoleLorenzo-ShapingPreset.duf) found attached below.
Additionally and optionally, for the veins, my shaping preset makes use of Rogues HD for Genesis 9 and Lawrence 9 HD. It will dial in the vein details from both of those products if you have them. Also, the renders I've shown make use of Lorenzo's eyebrows, so you might want to use them.
5) Now you’re ready to apply the G9-SwoleLorenzo shaping preset. Locate the preset and apply it with Genesis 9 selected. You may also drag and drop the shape preset .DUF file from where you saved it onto the Genesis 9 figure in the viewport. Genesis 9 should then have the Swole Lorenzo shape applied.
Please let me know if there are errors in the instructions or requirements and I will revise them.
and finally, the shaping preset (G9-Filipe-ShapingPreset.duf) found attached below.
Additionally and optionally, for the veins, my shaping preset makes use of Rogues HD for Genesis 9 and Lawrence 9 HD. It will dial in the vein details from both of those products if you have them.
To use the shape preset:
1) Load the base Genesis 9 figure.

5) Now you’re ready to apply the G9-Filipe shaping preset. Locate the preset and apply it with Genesis 9 selected. You may also drag and drop the shape preset .DUF file from where you saved it onto the Genesis 9 figure in the viewport. Genesis 9 should then have the Filipe shape applied.
This G9 character dial-up makes use of Jack HD for Genesis 9, Swole, the Body Morph Kit, the Genesis 9 Body and Head Shapes kits, and a non-DAZ Store character.
I was going for a jock-style physique with this one.
Just a render, no shaping preset for Jack.
You could probably get close by mixing Jack in with my Genesis 9 Swole Toon Hero preset (earlier in this thread) and then adjusting the strength of the dials I used. The non-DAZ Store figure does add some quite nice overall shaping, but might not be absolutely necessary for getting close to my version of Jack. In other words, you can make a better version than mine. :)

It's been some time since my last update. I've been busy tinkering with a bunch of products and enjoying my other hobbies. :)
Here's something that I'm finishing up on. This is for Genesis 9 and is a basic swole/bodybuilder type physique, mildly stylized.
If there's interest in him, I'll upload the shaping preset and instructions/list of required products.
Thanks!
Lee
Yes, Im interested. The way you've done the ribs and such of remeniscent of the way many comic books I read in the 70s were drawn.
Of course I'm interested. Silly question!

Thanks for that, I've all but 2 of the products.

Awesome
Thank you, GRFK DSGN Unlimited!
Lee
Quite good. Can do Captain America (tm) & The Falcon (tm) easy now.
Stylized/Toon/Exagerrated shape on Genesis 9.
Base G9 with low/modest amounts of SWOLE, Toon Hero, Young Anime Heroes, Growing Up, and Nahuel dialed in. Also used the DAZ Body and Head Shape morphs to tweak the shape.

Thank you again, nonesuch00!
I'm happy with how that Swole Toon Hero base shaping preset worked out. It's fun to dial other figure morph body/head shapes in to see what looiks good.
Have fun!

I went a little crazy during the July sales. Bought a bunch of cool products. :)
This G9 chap is the result of my usual figure mixing using some old and new items.
I'm still fine tuning him, but I do like the results so far.
Lee
Well let us know if you ever decide to share the formulas for any of your recent creations please.
Here's a G8.1M mixture of figures along with a new one from another store. Just playing around to see how well "The Barbarian" dials in with other figures.
Lee
I sure will, GRFK DSGN Unlimited! If there's a particular one(s) that you're interested in, do let me know. I'll see what I can do. :)
Thanks so much!
Lee
good job Lee
Lorenzo looks nice
Thank you, nonesuch00! :)
Thank you, GRFK DSGN Unlimited! I'm working on making a shape preset for my Lorenzo dial up. I hope to have him ready in a day or two. :)
Lee
I put my version of Lorenzo on a morph diet and ended up with him looking like this...
He's using fewer morph products and one less figure ("The Barbarian" by Barras sold on another store.)
If there's any interest in this G9 shape, let me know and I'll upload the shape preset/instructions/requirements late tonight or tomorrow. :)
Lee
Count me as super interested in the recipe, Lee, he looks superb.
Thank you, FenixPhoenix!
I have a draft message ready to post when the Forum Gods allow attachments to be uploaded. :)
Will probably be late in the day/tonight before attachment loading works again.
