...whoa, don't go there. The man has enough on his plate and I'd like to get Urban Sprawl 3 before I become sot old and decrepit I will not even be able to push the start button on my computer. ;-)

Wish I knew how to model but can't afford Modo, let alone 3DS. Hexagon is too unstable, Carrara too specialised, and Blender makes me feel like I need the Enigma Machine to figure it out.

    ZBrush?

    ...don't have 795$ to spare.

Same reason I never had Photoshop until the CC version (120$ per year vs 700$ up front)

Same reason I've got great hopes for the apparently impending update of Hexagon. The tutorials made it look nicely user-friendly and intuitive, in the same way as the old 'Second Life' CAD-builder function had been.

Those for Blender also do... Up to a point. Then it seems to get slightly too complicated.

Oh, bother, I was hoping to be the first! This went into the shopping basket so fast it left scorch marks on my browser.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Ah, I was just coming on to ask if there was a Poser version. Can you let us know how well the obj works, please?

I'm rendering closeups of the signs on my art studio thread. Here's two of them :)

Same here. I assume that someone of Stonemason's calibre will have their .MTL files set up correctly - if I have to apply 102 maps manually I might conclude it's not worth it. :) I'd be interested to know what the 'General Installer' does?

Edit: where are my manners? Many thanks for producing a set for those of us who want to set their scenes in Blighty. :D

Short note for Poser users. SoL imports smooth and so far i made only two small adjustments to the shaders: increasing bump by 10 and added some trivial math to the displacement used at one place. All in all it took me about 30 minutes to create a native Poser file and i consider myself still a Poser newbie.
The attached render is using only one infinite light for the sun and i have added a simple DepthCue for the fog effect.

    Have a nice day.
