This is the realistic skeleton look I wanted for Genesis 8 and never got because the Midnight Skeleton for G8 is a bit cartoony.

The Genesis 9 version if so much nicer in my opinion.

But I have two questions:

1. Will the G9 version work with G8 poses? Or do I need a pose converter?

2. Will the G9 version work with G8 clothes? Or do I need a clothing converter?

I have not purchased any G9 products up to now. And I don't want to spend a fortune on G9 poses as I have more poses for G8 than I could ever want.

This non-backward compatibility has really reduced my purchases on DAZ to almost nothing, which is a good thing in a way. 

But I see something incredible here or there released for G9, like this Midnight Bones, and I feel stuck.

    G8 poses don't work on G9 out of the box, you need to convert them. There are several converters available, including free ones.

    2. Will the G9 version work with G8 clothes? Or do I need a clothing converter?

    G8 clothes won't work as is, but they can be autofitted to G9 (autofit clone to go from G8 to G9 is included in G9 base). As always with automatic conversion, results will vary depending on the item.

    Also, nice to now, just like when autofitting G3 clothes to G8, that I can autofit G3 or G8 clothes to G9. Unless I read that wrong in your response.

    Yes, you can autofit G3 and G8 clothes to G9. G9 includes clones for all previous genesis figures.

    I've never used the second one so no idea how well it works. The first one is slightly annoying in that you need a G8 character to apply the pose to, before the script can do the copy & paste to the G9 character.

    It works great, just like the other converters by this PA.
