    You just missed it, they had their five year anniversary sale the past three weeks, buy 2 get 1 free, or buy 3 get 3 free. Check back around Thanksgiving, they usually have a sale then. I use their stuff all the time.

    Happy Very Big Announcement Eve, everyone! Be sure to hang your dForce stockings by the Irayplace with care tonight, and leave out some cookies (but not milk, that's just gonna go bad).

    We'll see what Santa Daz leaves for us under the tree tomorrow (hopefully not a lump of NFTs coal!!!)

    I quickly became convinced by all those who insist it will be G9 (or whatever the new generational name might be) but now I'm increasingly convinced that G9 and DS5 will be announced together. If G9 has some "Jaw-Dropping" features then surely it will need DS5 to enable those features? However, I anticipate that G9 can work in a more limited fashion with DS4 and that DS5 will continue to load content designed for DS4. Not that sure about my DS4 scenes loading into DS5 though - I expect to have to recreate the scenes afresh.

    So, should we speculate about what might be coming with DS5? Better animation (please) and/or physics (pretty please)? I'm guessing that dForce will have been adapted to provide some form of soft-body physics.

    Well it's September 21st.  There's nothing new that's NEW.  What was all this BIG ANNOUNCEMENT nonsense about.  Is this this just one big joke?  It's like Christmas morning and all we got was a lump of coal in our stocking.

An ANTI-CLIMAX.  They're doing a live video broadcast when all of North America is at work and can't wach it.  The big announcement is that all their employees got pancakes for breakfast.  I'm going to FAINT from the excitment.

    I just tuned in on 21st Sept 2022 .....but saw nothing, so I tuned out after 20mins!

     

    Please DAZ...... if your doing a special GLOBAL announcement, please showcase your announcement when your store changes its daily sale ads!  I just read in the forum that I need to retune in for special announcement within 12 hours time!

    ...as long as it doesn't further hamstring those of us with older cards like the move to RTX did.

    I don't anyone has mentioned yet, but think it could be somekind of cooperation with Unreals MetaHuman project. Unreal/Epic Games gave Daz funds (Epic MegaGrant), Daz seems enthousiastic about the MetaVerse so it wouldn't suprise me.

    5PM Central Daylight Time

    6PM Eastern Daylight Time

    3PM Pacific Daylight Time

    ...this is interesting, I went to the YouTube page and it says the event would start at 13:00 local time for my time zone.  I live on the West Coast of the States (Oregon) so if it's supposed to be 16:00 Daz time, it should read 15:00 local time for where I am.  13:00  would be correct if they were basing it on EDT, but Daz always times things to their location.in Utah.

    Note the time in the right bottom corner of the screenshot that is I highlighted and the arrow from the announced start time points to. 12 hours from when I took the screen shot would be 12:12, not 13:00.

    Yeah, something is really screwy here as like I mentioned 16:00 MDT would be 15:00 PDT. If it is supposed to start at 13:00 local time as mentioned under the video window, that would put me in Nuku Hiva of the Marquesas Islands in the South Pacific which is 2 hours behind West Coast time.   

    ...not that I wouldn't mind living in that region of the world.
