Horo, Mermaid, adbc, Hubert: thank you.

Horo, what a great scene. They built a hall that was just high enough to show of the locomotive smiley. I love the light. It looks very much like some HDRI photos you sometimes see. Has a kind of toon-like quality too.

Hubert: fantastic hubism. Great forms and colours. Why do I feel like I see a distorted trumpet?

mermaid - this came out excellent with the metallic look.

mermaid: Interesting contrast between sharp angles&edges and the smooth material&lighting.

Inspired by Hubert's last Hubism, six elongated spheres lit by six spots with different colours within an elongated mirror ball, a tad transparent with a low refraction index. The HDRI from inside provides additional light and is slightly visible through the mirror ball.

Wow Horo the abstract is awesome, great colors and textures.

    Thank you mermaid.

Horo: Cool mats and lighting! It must have rendered much longer than my scene, esp. if transparent mats and refraction are involved. ;)

Thank you Hubert. Rendered in normal priority Premium with 16 rpp in 20 minutes (1600 x 1600 pixel), spots have edge softness, HDRI with quality 16.

The terrain is from the Crater Construction Kit (author unknown) with a material from High Resolution Terrains 3. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI and the key light by the sun. The biplane I don't remember from where.

And, of course, 3D ought to be viewed as 3D laugh

    adbc - thank you.

mermaid - very nice pond in the hills.

The object was made in INCENDIA NEXT some time ago, copied and rotated and given materials from 50 Metals The Treppenhalle Set. They stand on a Fading Disk (to mix the HDRI with the reflection), underneath it a Shadow Catcher (no shadows on the Fading Disk). In each object is a radial light without shadows to counter the black parts where no light gets in. Background and light by an HDRI.

    Shells of Colour
The anaglyph shows the unsuspected shape of the object at right.

Horo and mermaid, beautiful landscapes and fascinating abstracts! Thank you also Horo for leading me to the Incendia Next program - hadn't heard of it before but I found and downloaded it and will definitely have to spend some time messing with it!

I really enjoy stopping by and admiring the breathtaking compositions here!  Really inspired by the ocean terrains and love the Sci-Fi.  HDRIs are something I want to learn about with Bryce as well. Horo, the texturing on your terrains is fantastic; I recently picked up my first High Res Terrain set and want to get additional sets in order to learn texturing within Bryce.

I have been experimenting with Filter Forge 10 and making terrains in Bryce solely from the Filter.  This filter is called Layered Stone.  I used it to create the height map, diffuse/color as well as the Normal map for texture.  By far it is not as detailed and beautiful as say Gritstone Hills and the work I see here ..   This was fun to play with, though and wanted to share.  I think this may look better if it was combined somehow with a Bryce texture.. maybe by duplicating the terrain or something
