I was about to recommend Zhirong for Mrs. Chow... and then I read the age bracket, lol. I was also way off, as "older" is quite subjective depending on your own age. Having said that, apart from those already mentioned, Satine, Ophelia 7, Ellithia 8, Monique 8, Odette, Benita for V8 & Briallen HD for Alexandra 8 are great characters within the target age brackets.

So if "old" starts at 71-73, and your benchmark of "at least old enough to be collecting Social Security" is between 62 and 67 in the US, the difference between an "old" person and an "older" person is between 5 and 10 years?

Is there really a difference between the descriptors 'old' or 'older' when describing someone?

I could be wrong, but I think yes. Older indicates more years but still got it - maybe someone who has seniority but is still respected for their abilities. Old is more often (not always) used in a pejorative or self-deprecating way.

Exactly. Also, if "old" is roughly 70 years old, 35 is halfway there, and is also roughly the age people tend to start showing signs of aging. "Older" doesn't seem like an inappropriate descriptor for someone above that age, and I say that as someone who's within that demographic.

Raiya has some nice ones - I like RY Martha (40-ish) and RY Frida (60-ish).

It is clear that the OP intended to ask for characters older than the perceived typical Daz offering, rather than intending to judge who was "old". It wasn't entirely clear, especially from the subject line, but I think the topic has now been thoroughly explored so please let the thread revert to product suggestions.

I'm looking for an attractive female Genesis 8 female character between the ages of 35 and 50.

    Thanks.

I searched my Product Library on 'Bundle' and looked at my G8Fs. Now I need to say I am looking at these ladies as someone who is soon to be 69 years old, so my perceptions may be scewed.

It'd be more descriptive and less arguing if OP plainly stated looking for milf action figures.

KrashWerks Rhonda at that other store.

Benita for Victoria 8. Daz Store.

RY Martha for Genesis 8 Female. Daz Store.

RY Frida for Victoria 8. Daz store.

Mother and Daughters HD for Genesis 8 Female. Pack of three characters. Daughter, mother and grandmother. Daz store.

Hey OP I believe everyone was being a little humorous so don't take it too seriously. My recommendation is https://www.daz3d.com/yun-hd-for-genesis-8-female

    Yup, that figures...

LOL well, older to a pre-teen is a 21 year old....to a 21 year old it's when you hit 30...and older to anyone over 30 is every 10 year bench mark perhaps?  I think Benita is a good choice, that was my first thought.

Agree. I am also interested in suggestions for HD morphs that you like and use to make other characters older.
  • Zevo has excellent aging morphs and details for Genesis 8. They can be used standalone or mixed with HD morphs from the already mentioned characters.

"Tenen71" at DA also has some good ones for free

The sidetracking came from using "older" with the age range starting from 30, which even for us that have experienced both sides of 50, is barely out of his/her teens and still very much looking and acting like one.

Second this; a couple of really good characters there with good textures and natural looks.

Impressive. edit: And includes stolen materials. :(

When I was bringing up those bundles from my post, I noticed the other female characters that were included in the bundles (they were from the days that a Daz O actually was a base with characters built off of them). So if someone has the bundles, they could look back at them, to see who else was in them. Also, as folks have shown over the past few years, adding a bit of older characters beyond the 50 year top age, brings the age of younger characters up nicely.

I remembered a post by @WinterMoon where she rendered a mother and daughter together with the mother's skin applied to the daughter, and she forgot to remove the normals, making the daughter look, in my words, prematurely haggard.

The Tenen71 figures include Daz PA materials including (not necessarily limited to) LiliaK figure includes Daz Avelyn Hair for G3 and BeataBlue G8hd figure includes textures for goldtassel LongMane hair. Those are just the materials that I cn see are blatantly packaged with those downloads. In light of that, I would say not to use the skins, hair or other assets except the body morphs. There's a good chance it's all stolen. Even the body morphs could rely on Daz and PA assets packaged in a way that violates copyright.

I think the majority of Daz core characters appear over thirty. I just checked and pretty much all except for “teen” characters (who often look in their 20’s) and stylized/toon/fairy characters, all appear at least 30. Dialing in some of these characters and adding their normals should make any character look older.

Oh really? Good catch then, thank you. I'm curious how you detected this: you'd have to know every file by sight or did you do a filename check against all your content?

I unzipped the packages and looked in the folders. The Avelyn Hair includes the full Daz installer. Horrible! Also, I buy content from Rendo and manual install it, so I'm pretty familiar with the folder layouts. Then, the textures. When the textures look *that* good, unless the person is a digital superstar, I have doubts. Also all the downloads are stored on Yandex.ru . Russian IP laws are a lot more flexible than US or EU.

As if to prove a point that it's not just for the twenty somethings,
Aubrey has popped up in the middle of a war zone this morning.

I hope you find what you need. I realized that I didn't have a specific recommendation to give you. If a character looks too young, I usually go with judicious application of aging morphs.

I just sent a report to Deviant Art on the one that uses Colm Jackson's textures on the model.

I found a few KrashWerks characters I like.
