New to animation - What do I need?
I'd like to get into animation but I'm not sure if I have the right tools for the job. I'm looking to create head and shoulder videos (not live). I can't use the Mojo software as I don't own an iphone.
I'm also trying to avoid doing this one keyframe at a time because it could take days! (I think I have an Adobe account, so I could make ue of mixamo, but I think they only do full body animations.)
Ideally I'm looking to utilize my phone's camera [Android] (or a webcam at a push) for MoCap. I have anilip for importing my sound files and creating visemes, but not much for actual animation, blinking etc. Can I get away without using blender for bone rigging? I saw a few videos on "vtubing" today, which is sort of what I'm aiming to do, but I don't need to stream it live (I don't think my old PC could handle live streaming anyway!)
Any helpful tips or links gratefully appeciated.
Thank you!

I think there is a product on steam called "Facerig" that might be better/easier for what you are describing. I haven't used it myself but it has good reviews. https://store.steampowered.com/app/274920/FaceRig/
Patience... or Unity game engine and https://www.daz3d.com/daz-to-unity-bridge
I've used it. It's OK, i'm just not a massive fan or Steam and FaceRig can be glitchy.
Carrara is built towards animation. tweeners between keyframes
Good to know, thank you.
Not exactly, what you ask for, but check how many characters from Daz 3D, I could animate and record in real time in Unity.
