And here's a stupid thing. Posts bumping threads has been fixed, and it took half an hour for someone to notice. First to Notice was Jaderail.

How stupid is this. With storms threatened on the forecast, first rumbles of thunder had me closing down the computers, unplugging everything, and then the storm fromt rumbled happily past us up the next valley over, and all it did on our side of the mountain was rain, and 2nd hand rumbles echoing around.

    Hmmph.

Better safe than sorry. I got a surge-protector for my workstation, for such cases.

OMG! Who is that person in the mirror looking back at me?

I'm looking at a new laptop for gaming and showcasing DAZ Studio. It's an Asus N56VM-S4213V.

    15,6" HD LED 1920x1080 screen
    Intel Core i7-3610QM-processor
    8GB RAM, 750GB harddrive
    Nvidia Geforce GT630M
    Windows 7 Home Premium

Jeez, it got some memory on that rig! Much for a laptop, and it's not for heavy duty stuff, just showing people how to use the program. I've filled the harddrives on my current laptop, and it's practically begging for mercy.

I do have everything plugged in through a multi gang with surge oritection, but still prefer to shut down completely when these storms rumble through. Still not totally used to living up here amongst the mountains, do get some freaky weather sometimes compared to what we were used to when we lived down nearer to sea level. The storms do blow up quick, but disappear almost as briefly if the wind is strong.

Freakiest thing ever was watching out of the front windows a couple years back and watching a funnel cloud forming over the next mountain over and actually seeing the lighting below us in the next valley. (this is the UK remember). Went black as night as the storm passed over us, and the funnel cloud did actually touch down brieffly two valleys over, doing a little damage.

THat was sort of stupid scary.

Gotto love these cool forces of nature, had the same experience, only,, I was looking down a lightning storm with so much lightning that the light did not fade, it was a constant flickering glow, accompanied with a constant low rumble, lasting as long as we driving past it, did not know that existed.

    Concerning stupidity,,
I am a firm protector of the right to be stupid !
When looking closely every statement could be considered stupid from one point of view.
(And always trying to sound intelligent is the worst of idiocy.)
So forums are by definition an institute of silliness. :P

It should still auto size the width to 800pxl. I'm not sure if its doing the height yet or not.

Currently actual image limits are 2000 X 2000 with max thumbnail size being 500 x 500. I tried 600 x 600 but that was causing issues with layout.

ah right. I wondered. 2nd time posts had just disappeared. I knew the first lot of posts had b gone. THought I was getting double ebots for the same post, which would have been stupid.
