You know, something I never got with vendors is why some wait for certain figures to come out before they release their products. I mean, can't they just update the items after they're released, or am I ignorant towards something about the marketing process of these things?

Well, with clothing, if you update a clothing figure with new morphs after you've released it, then often times the people that already have it can see issues with stuff they've already made with the product when they update it.
Some items are made specifically when that figure is made available to the PAs.
A pose is different but updating it still takes time.

I see, kind of like how all the material zones on the Supersuit Basic Suit reset on my figures after DAZ finally updated the product?
Wow, is this the way George R.R.R.r.r.r.r Martin feels? :D
I wasn't getting forum notifications so didn't realize that people were still posting. My apologies for not posting sooner.
Re Aiko6 reference in a post, all I got was a rap on the knuckles with a ruler. ;)
As far as waiting for Aiko6, I knew that as soon as I completed the bodysuit I would probably not want to come back to it for updates. It has been such a big undertaking for a what seems like a relatively simple item. The main issue I was struggling with was some of the polygons on the chest didn't look right when doing the spandex morphs. The cleavage spandex morph particularly wasn't behaving and I love cleavage so it was import to include it. The problem is that I have so many material zones that I have to lay polygons where I normally wouldn't and this created problems in the morphs. The naked surface wouldn't render smoothing and uniformly. Now once you apply a texture most would not notice but it was something I couldn't release without fixing. I do tend to get bogged down in fixing small details. I had to step back and put this down for a bit, take abreak. The good news it is fixed and now double checking all the morphs (there are close to 125 of them) to make sure they are still okay. So back on track!
I have added another texture map to the bodysuit, there are now three. The normal map has the whole bodysuit on one map, makes it easy to use tiling textures. The new map has a separate map for the head so it will be easier for people to do hi-rez textures of just the head. The body section is the same as the first map. The third texture is compatible with the V4 bodysuit.
I have also added Spandex morphs for all 8 of the Breast Shape morphs. Tend to focus on one area, I am a guy after all :D
Also starting work on a users guide for the bodysuit.
Cheers!
Nah, every time someone asks him when the next book comes out, he kills a Stark :D
Sounds great! Can't wait :D
Hmm, can't kill off a character, okay each time I drop a morph. :D
LOL
Ah, good. I was beginning to think they had you in a re-education center in the Utah wilderness! :zip:
I kid. I saw you in another forum for a different hobby, if that was you talking about the equatorial mounts.
Well, I'm not nagging... just glad to hear things are still moving along! :)
Or maybe a material zone? :P
That probably was me, cool to see someone shares both interests!
So, the past several day I have been working on a users guide for the bodysuit. Thought there was enough in it that a guide might help people get the most out of it. It is still a draft but about 90% there. Please feel free to look it over and share any comments or corrections.

Yeah, good guide!
I wish all products had such good documentation.
I can't wait to have that Catsuits of yours. :)
A suggestion for the documentation: Instead of "normal map", I'd use something like "default map" when describing the available UV mappings. "Normal map" most commonly refers to maps of normals used to simulate displacement (ala bump maps), and I found it confusing to read since every time I saw this in your documentation, my mind kept thinking about true normal maps, instead of the UV map selection.
Good point! This is the kind of feedback I am looking for. Still struggling with how to name some of the objects.
So do these make sense?
G2FUltraBodySuitDM - for the bodysuit with the default complex materials
G2FUltraBodysuitSM - for the one with the simplified materials version
Thanks!
Those are for the suit loads your clothing folder? If so, you don't need the G2F since the Clothing folder is under G2F already and it's implicit. To me, the DM and SM are the important part, yet the acronyms will probably mean nothing to people at first glance. They certainly don't to me. I'd use something like "Ultra Cat Suit - Deluxe" and "Ultra Cat Suit - Simplified". Or do what DAZ did with the Supersuit and simply call the deluxe version the "Ultra Cat Suit" and the simplified version the "Basic Cat Suit".
And while I say it in jest, because it'd be a lot of extra work, you need another set of UV maps optimized for busty superheroines, since they tend to be common (e.g., PowerGirl, WW, etc)... :) (Not the gozongo breast expansion crap, but enough so you don't get texture stretching with implants and/or size turned up to around .5.)
Looking good, so far, and yeah, I agree with cwichura on the whole "Normal Map" thing, as that was confusing me as well.
However, looking at the reference list, are the "boot" and "loosen" morphs supposed to be like the "Foot Boot" and "Foot Smooth" morphs on the Supersuit/Basic Suit? One of the things I hope to do with this suit is make socks and hosiery with it.
To late to ask for a jumpsuit morph ?
Wow, this bodysuit sounds really cool. I can't tell from the pictures, though -- does this suit come with a material that covers the mouth?
--MW
sioc, there are two jumpsuit morphs. One simulates open cuffs and the wrists and ankles. This type of morph looks better when the none morph portions, (hand and feet) are hiddden. The other simulates tight/elastic cuffs at the wrist and ankles.
MW, every part of the Genesis 2 female is covered including the mouth.
Cheers!
3dwizard -- thanks for answering so quickly. This sounds like a great product with lots of options for customizability. Just when I have vowed to curtail all digital-related spending, you develop a product that I want to add to my runtime! Do you have an estimated sale date for this or a need for beta testers or something? :D
--Eagerly looking forward to this one's release,
MW
Sorry, meant to answer this question too in my last post. Yes you should be able to do what you want with this. By default the feet look mor like socks. I didn't model individual toes. One boot morph is design to at least resemble a boot with a heel.
Cheers!

I see, but will it also be able to have compression if I desire it? I do want boot and smooth shaping like on the Supersuit, but it's the tight-looking shape intend for hosiery like in the images below.
RCDeschene - default state is similar to your first pick. The second is similar to one of the morphs, the morph similar to your last is not as pointed.
I have updated the user guide. Added a section on layering clothes over the bodysuit, some information on the clothes morphs and hopefully resolved the issue with normal vs default map.

Ahh! Thank you for clearing that up! :)
I'll be sending you a pre-release copy of this shortly....

I'm surprised I didn't see this sooner! I was about to tell everyone myself! :)
Sorry to bother but any news ?
Op, I think we just lost a morph... :P
I am REALLY wanting these soon, hopefully.
I wish next time Daz decides to come out with figures, they present the cat suit at the same time and make it so people can create all the clothes they want from them no matter how they do it as long as, if sold, it is sold exclusively through them.
Oh well. I can dream, can't I? :)
