    Hello,

    sorry for quoting myself. I know that DAZ support is probably currently swamped, and that's okay, I can wait. However, as something is obviously broken with my product list I would like to know at the very least, if I buy products today, will they get added to my "inventory", or will they be lost in some void? I just want to make sure before spending money...

    Best regards

    Hello,

    yesterday and today I was installing my new system and reinstalling all my DAZ products. In the midst of installing, suddenly all queued downloads instantly went to "Download failed", and I get the following messages in the DIM log:

    2020-11-12 16:48:57.046 Connected to CMS: PostgreSQL 9.3.4, compiled by Visual C++ build 1600, 64-bit2020-11-12 16:49:01.200 	Json Parser (1,1): Syntax error - expected '{' or '['2020-11-12 16:49:01.200 Unable to parse purchased products2020-11-12 16:49:01.207 Current Account: Account2020-11-12 16:49:04.480 Installed Packages: 1114 : 185.7 GB2020-11-12 16:49:04.492 Network Error during authentication.2020-11-12 16:49:04.492 	Json Parser (1,1): Syntax error - expected '{' or '['2020-11-12 16:49:04.492 Unable to parse purchased products2020-11-12 16:49:04.492 Invalid JSON formatting while processing purchased items.

    None of my uninstalled products is displayed. Is this a problem on my side (seems the  first JSON error appears after connecting to Postgres) or is this error on the remote side? Anything I can do?

    Best regards

    I've been having pretty much this exact problem. Seems like any time downloads fail due to your internet dying, Dazcentral and DIM are both completely screwed. It fixed itself once, hoping it will again. I'll probably be holding off on buying anything else from Daz until this problem is fixed, though.

    Anyone having download problems with DIM? I'm having a fair share of 'Download failed!' lately.

    Yes, mostly they have succeeded on a second attempt but I did have one last night that failed several times - I haven't yet retried today. Edit - just retried, downloaded successfully.

    I had a few today, but except for one which took a lot of retries to get they all downloaded the 2nd or 3rd time.

    Sherilynn from Mousso refused to download in DIM and fails as a manual download from the product library.

    Honni 8's offline package file still gives me a 404 error after a week of trying to download it.

    I'm getting repeated download errors while trying to download from the product library.  Eventually it might work after 20 or 50 tries while other zips in the same product download wthout problems.  Doesn't seem to be related to size of the zip file.  I'm also occasionally getting what I'll call the "please kick sdn" page.  I forget the actual wording at the moment.  It's taken me a couple hours to download a couple products.

    And sometimes I get the following on a JSON error page:

    {
      "code": "internal_error",
      "message": "internal incident",
      "status": 500
    }

    Has anyone tried to categorize their products lately?  I am creating a brand new categorizing system as I install my products. I can create the individual category title and that stays but no products will show in each category so its not working for me.

    Edit to add:  I am using the new Beta 4.14

    Not with DIM (don't use it) but with manual downloads, yes.

    I'm beginning to think DAZ has put some sort of account DL limiter on.

    It seems as if I stay away for a few hours, I can download files with no issue - tiny or huge - doesn't matter.  But once I reach maybe 3GB's or so of steady downloads - every download begins to fail (again, tiny or huge file - it doesn't matter).

    Admittedly, I do use DIM, however, I've been able to download more than 3GB's of "steady downloads" without issue. I don't think Daz is limiting the amount of data we can download in a set amount of time. I can't imagine they would even want to do that.

    I have had products that wouldn't download with DIM for days, and attempts to download manually provided a number of errors, including one from my computer stating it couldn't create the *.part file because the source file didn't exist.

    Obviously there are still issues Daz needs to fix. They'll get there. In the meantime, I expect downloading products will continue to be frustrating from time to time.

    Morning L'Adair -

    What I find curious is that it's not file-specific with me.  I get to a certain point, and files just stop transferring.  I can watch it go from 3MB's/sec to 2, and 1, and then it fails.  Restarts are simply wash and repeat.  I go to another file - same results.

    But if I give it 8 hours or so - I can go back to those exact files - and they come across without any issues.

    Maybe it's limiting or prioritizing or whatever - but it's been consistent for me since this migration.

    As you note though - "they'll get there."

    So, I'm logged in, but when I go to this page, the 'login' icon is white not blue, and when I tried adding this item it said I needed to log in, but I'm already logged in...

    https://www.daz3d.com/kumi-leiko-and-dress-for-genesis-8-females

    Tried logging out and in again, no joy.  I ended up adding the item to my cart, then moving it to my wishlist from the cart.  First time I've seen this particular issue.

    Also, the tiny forum icons (login, 'edit post button' etc) are still missing - been reported before I'm sure - latest version of Firefox BTW, but they've been missing for a bit now (since the upgrade).

    confiming ongoing DIM 'download failed' issues here.

    i'm over 20 retries for downloading one 1.4 GB environment (king wash laundromat) via DIM.  i've tried at several times of day and night.  i've got a g8f character (branca, at a 233 MB) that download-fails consistently, too.

    they both seem to drop out at a consistent point, percentage-downloaded-wise, in the process...the times when the download will even begin.

    if i can't manage to get them downloaded by tomorrow, i'm just going to return them and buy something i can actually download and use.   most of my purchases today and yesterday downloaded without a hitch.  wouldn't be a bit surprised if these problem files were hosted on the same server.

    I have checked with Daz and they say there is no such throttling from them - are you sure it isn't your ISP?

    yeah, I'm with the folks that are having to try 15 - 20 times perhaps. I've had to give up on some and manually d/l which seems to work fine. Very frustrating.
    I don't know if its DIM or my connection, though my connection seems fine. I see errors in the DIM log, of varying kinds. Some saying file sizes (?)  don't match, others just simply say disconnected, and others. Yesterday I was able to d/l gig upon gigs with no problem, maybe a stray or three that refused to d/l, today all kinds of problems.
    Some specific files refuse to d/l no matter how many times I try, such as Shantal hair for G3F, Sexy Sorceress for G3F, and SF100 Utility Truck, there have been a lot of others that will never d/l no matter how many attempts. Sometimes it seems if they fail the first time, they never d/l.

    Also, around 98% of the time, in DIM, If I click the Exclamation Point thats in front of the Download box, to open up the documentation for th item, that page doesnt show a pic and some of the wording, most of the time I end up with 9 -17 pages (attempts) open before it finally displays. This happens always no matter how DIM is acting.

    Hey Richard -

    Good thought - but no, I don't think so.  High-speed Comcast - and I stream and download all day with no issues from other sites.

    As example, I couldn't get "Taylor Hair For Genesis 8 Female" or "MMX Knitted Fabric and Patterns for Iray" last night to save my soul.  They would start to download, get a few percentages in (maybe even half) and then fail.  I was attempting them after I acquired several gigs of files to catch up a bit, all without incident (no timeouts).

    So I haven't tried downloading from DAZ since then (maybe 11:00 PM PDT) - but I tried to acquire both just now.  Not a problem at all - no timeouts, and zips verified fine.

    This is consistent with what I've been seeing since migration.

    Thanks for your thought though - appreciated!

    I still can't use the "Hide Items I Own" and "Only Show PC+" filters, when I search for anything? They only work on the main shop page.

    Searched for "house" and nothing happens when I click the filters, so I can't see what I own. Search results count is wrong too. Says 175 but only 75 are there.

    Chrome on Android and PC (Win10)

    I have to select "Desktop Site" on the page if I want this to work on my phone, otherwise I get the result you are seeing.

    Thanks. Tried it but the only thing that works is changing items per page to 60 or 120. Got that from @barbult and @Fixmypcmike a few posts up.

    Hopefully it will be fixed to the way it was to include all items. I hate paging. smiley

    There are too many DIM download issues to suggest that all of our ISPs across the world are suddenly throttling during the site upgrade.

    Yes, traffic is probably high and that may well be causing problems (and yes, I have had some failed downloads - though not as many as others). I was replying specifically to the suggestion that there was a deliberate, quota-based throttling of the download servers by Daz.

    I wouldn't be surprised if the site was at its busiest between middle evening European time and late evening US time, with a concomitant increase in failures.

    I THINK (wild guess from my side, I may be completely wrong here), the store backend needs that nickname to save a credit card profile. I have seen this in a couple of stores where you can save several cards.

    That's to make selection of which card to use easier if you have multiples on file and AFAICR it's always been there. I had a monster card for years, then my bank sent me a weasel card. This year I got a new weasel card. No, I've never had two cards defined here.

    ...so then this should not be the reason as I only have one card.

    Tried again today and still getting the same error.  When I go back to my payment method there is no card on file.  I again re-entered my card information but after saving  it still indicated I had no payment method on file.  When I clicked the field for Card Number to manually enter it, a popup appeard for Google pay, however, I never have used Google pay for anything because I do not trust it as like most large corporations, they are prime targets for being compromised by hackers.  Ever since I began purchasing products here, I've always had my card information on file on this site.

    I saw that there was a Google Pay account in my name, but never remember setting one up so I closed it and manually entered my card information again on the Payment Methods page yet still it refuses to save my card information.

    This has gone beyond irritating having to miss out on the final days of this sale. My bank account and card work perfectly fine elsewhere, so again this can only be an issue on Daz's end likely caused by the update.

    ETA:

    ...submitted a support ticket, but sort of "after the fact" with regards to the sale as the earliest it will be seen is tomorrow after the sale is expires.  Furthermore the email acknowlegement I received mentions that it could take as long as 4 - 6 weeks (and given how they must be deluged with tickets from everyone else regarding glitches with the update, likely looking at the 6 week estimate).

    Technically, the product was there in main DAz folder without checkmark.  Could categorize, but categorized folder is empty, like you.  Redownloaded today.   For whatever reason now a checkmark. Yes now categorized folder  is populated.

    I have avoided complaining about store problems up until now.  But my entire store credit just disappeared with a note of a manual adjustment having been made. I am filing a ticket, but I fear I will lose today's sales items after spending much time putting a cart together. Here is what it looks like:

    "Manual adjustment" is visible for the gift cards redeemed before the store update but the Balance Change isn't negative.

    ...I just noticed a new field I never saw before titled "nickname" which has a "*" by it which usually means something needs to be entered there.  I never, ever had a "nickname" associated with my bank account.  I entered my forum name and that didn't work, then just typed in "n/a" still get the same error message so I have no idea what iscuasing this other than again something getting borked by the upgrade.  Really infurating as this is my one favourite sale of the year as it actually works with my budget.

No, I've never had two cards defined here.

    ...just did an experiment and made an electronic payment for a bill that's not due for another week using my card and it went though just fine. I received the payment confirmation email and the payment is reflected on my statement on the bank's site.

    So it's definitely not my card or bank account.  Something is definitely scrozzed here on Daz's end.

    I looked at the payment method in my profile and it was completely wiped out, so I manually entered everything in again but still getting the error.  Is this "nickname" field something that's just been added as like I mentioned I've never had to give one before?

    It's been there, and you choose a cc by it when you have one or more cc's on file.

    ...so then this should not be the reason as I only have one card.

    But it is a required field for saving a card, yes even if you only have one card. So, silly as it might be, you still have to fill it in. It can be totally generic, so I put  something like "my card."

    ...I actually entered something in the field after everything else and it still refuses to save the information.

    How the information was purged (I had saved my payment profile data years ago) I have no idea, and that one error message which read "Not enough USD avilable" has me concerned that something with my account was frotzed behind the scenes between Friday and Saturday.   I'll just have to lose what's still in the cart (as well as not being able to purchase anything else this sale or afterwards) until my ticket is acted on and this is resolved and with what has happened it could be weeks.
