    You're probably right.

I know that a couple of them are misquotes, famous ones.

HEY DORSEY! How the hell have you been? We have missed you up in here ya know.

So, I wonder if some of these folks even know what catchphrase Flip Wilson was most famous for? I know you do though...lol.
Remember when Flip said..."Do Ruby Bagonia ring a bell?"...that became one of his for a while.

Also, I have always wondered if The Smothers Brothers ever had a certain catchphrase or not? Maybe Tommy saying...."Mom always liked you best!"

anyway...hang out and maybe even think about entering. Gonna do a LG "Real Man...Louie" clone and dressup mini later this month so I know you will want to see that.

OMG...ROFL...Dana made me think of one that just cracks me up everytime I think of it. Not really a widely used catchphrase, more of a parody of another movie catchphrase. The movie...The Exorcist...I can't really post the quote that the devil said to the priest performing the exorcist because it would go against the Daz TOS agreement, but I can post the parody quote. The parody...SNL...Loraine Newman as Linda Blair, while being pelted by the priest with scripture and trashed with holy water looked up at the priest and said...."Yo Mama Sews Socks That Smell!"...LMAO! Who all remembers that one? Too funny!

Bad timing, for me - I'm busy all weekend, so I can't refresh my memory on some of these. I only have 14 so far.

Are you sure they're all from TV characters? A few look like movie quotes to me.

The only one from a movie is "I'll be back". But it has been used by so many in tv events, it got the best of me. The Judy, Judy, Judy was never said by Cary Grant. It was said by a tv character who was known for his Cary Grant impersonation that was soooo bad...lol. I will reveal who that was in the end tomorrow. Also "Play it again Sam" was never said in any movie, but also was used to recognize this certain character by impersonators. I guess I could have left that one out though.

errrmmm...this is not from a movie. It is from the tv show Saturday Night Live. Chevy Chase did a character of a big shark that would knock on the apartment door, when Guilda opened the door, he would gobble her head up with a big shark suit on. She got to know when it was him, so he would disguise his voice so she would open the door. He would say "Candygram" real quietly when she asked who was knocking on the door. It became the sharks catchphrase and she would always fall for it and open the door. He would then gobble her up.

ok...nobody got all these, so I will post the answers. This is funny because my wife and I sat and thought all these up and we knew each and every one. We are not avid tv watchers, but these carchphrases just had left the memory of these lines being used a lot by each character.

    So...here are the answers:

Nip it in the bud.— Barney Fife, The Andy Griffith Show
    Kiss My Grits.— Flo, Alice
up your nose with a rubber hose.— Vinny Barbarino, Welcome Back, Kotter!
sit on it.— Arthur Fonzarellie, The Fonz, Happy Days
OH NO! — Mr. Bill, SNL
    it’s me, it’s me, it’s _____! -- Ernest T. Bass, The Andy Griffith show.
    Wilbur!— Mr. Ed, Mr. Ed
whee doggies— Jed Clampett, The Beverly Hillbillies
    SKIPPER!— Gilligan, Gilligan’s Island
I pity the fool.— Mr. T, The A-Team
Lucy!— Ricky Ricardo, I Love Lucy
I’ll be back.— Arnold Swartzanegger - The Terminator
it’s a dirty job, but somebodies got to do it.— Deputy Perkins, Sheriff Lobo
you rang?— Lurch, The Addams Family
the Beatles!— Ed Sullivan, The Ed Sullivan Show
    Doh.— Homer Simpson, The Simpsons
Yaba Daba Doo.— Fred Flintstone, The Flintstones
did I do that?— Steve Irkel, Family Matters
Heavens to Merkatroid!— Snagglepuss, The Yogi Bear Show
what you talkin’ bout Willis!— Arnold Jackson, Diff’rent Strokes
    Bang…Zoom!— Ralph Kramden, The Honeymooners
    Get out!— Elaine Benes, Seinfeld
missed it by that much— Maxwell Smart, Get Smart
Judy Judy Judy.— Goober, Andy Griffith Show
play it again Sam.— Humphry Bogart impersonators everywhere.
Say goodnight Dick— Dan Rowan, Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In
Good night, and may God Bless.— Red Skelton, The Red Skelton Show
    I know nothing…nothing!— Sgt. Schultz, Hogan’s Heroes
Holy Crap!— Frank Barone, Everybody Loves Raymond
    Dyn-o-mite! — JJ, Good Times
No soup for you.— The Soup Nazi, Seinfeld
Marcia Marcia Marcia— Jan Brady, The Brady Bunch
I ams what I ams, and Thats all I ams.— Popeye, Popeye
Just the facts mam.— Sgt. Joe Friday, Dragnet
Well, isn’t that special!— Dana Carvey,The Church Lady, SNL

I will do a famous movie quote one next, maybe it will be easier as many of you will know these from movies. Even folks who don't live in America should know some of the movies.

ok...we will do FAMOUS MOVIE QUOTES and with this one, you can list the actor who said it, or the character the actor played. Which ever you want. You must also list the movie it was said in. These movies were all very popular ones, no obscure "B" movies. Some old, some fairly new. My wife and I sat and thought all of these up, so if we know them, many of you must too.

As before DON'T POST YOUR ANSWER, PM ME WITH IT. Also to make it easier, you don't have to write the quote in the PM, just put the number, the actor or character and the movie. Good luck and any who get them all will get a nice prize from me.

1 - "I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship."
2 - "Allright, Mr. Demille, I am ready for my closeup."
    3 - "That's a fact, Jack!"
4 - "I've had to fights all my life."
5 - "After all, tomorrow is another day."
    6 - "Hey Stella!"
    7 - "Feed Me!"
8 - "I'm gonna get medieval on his ass"
    9 - "Food Fight!"
    10 - "I'm a damn good looking man."
    11 - "Houston, we have a problem."
    12 - "There here!"
    13 - "I'm an exellent driver."
    14 - "Ect. Ect. Ect."
    15 - "Rosebud."
    16 - "Here's Johnny!"
17 - "Can Bruce Wayne and Batman truely co-exist?"
18 - "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Clause."
    19 - "It's Showtime!"
    20 - "It's the old razzle dazzle."
21 - "He was born tired, he lives to rest."
    22 - "I am your father."
    23 - "I'm soooo tired."
    24 - "It's alive, It's alive!"
    25 - "A boy's best friend is his mother."
    26 - "I wish I had never been born."
27 - "Nice car but fix the cigarette lighter!"
28 - "What we have here is failure to communicate."
29 - "You got to ask yourself a question. Do I feel lucky? Well do you punk?"
30 - "One would have to go to a bowling alley to meet a woman of your stature."
31 - "My real name is Jim, but most folks just call me.......Jim."
32 - "If you want me just whistle, you know how to whistle, just put your lips together and blow."
33 - "I'm having an old friend for dinner."
    34 - "We're on a mission from God"
35 - "Awe man, I just shot Marvin in the face!"

ok...there they are. Like I said before, DON'T LIST THE ANSWERS HERE, PM ME WITH THEM. Just put the number and the actor or character and the movie the quote was from.

    Good luck to all.
