  I'm not sure how that image is sci-fi hair? Looks like regular hair to me. However, if you're looking for side shaved, here are a few:

  You could also combine two hairs, both parented to G8F.

  Use for example https://www.daz3d.com/pattern-hair-for-genesis-3-and-8 for the scalp and a second hair like https://www.daz3d.com/streaming-hair-for-genesis-3-female-s for the hair. 

  In the second hair you set the opacity of the scalp to 0.
