Definitely getting worse - used to be 'quite frequently' (every few days), then it got to every day, now it's every time I visit (several times a day)

I will mention,  for the last time I hope, that Log-ins should be done on the Home Page of the Daz 3d site as there are 2 different softwares invilved, hence 2 log-ins.  By using the Home page log-in  the two are reliably synchronised for most people.

IFF that's the case, then the log-in button needs to redirect us to the home page.  Besides, this has only been an issue the past few days for me.  If Daz is making a change to the log-in procedure that requires its customers to do something differently, there needs to be a proper announcement.

Same here. Even with login from the home page I had to log in 8 seperate times yesterday. And I just now had to log in again when I came here this morning..

Like I said earlier if the DAZ store doesn't want me I can spend my money elsewhere.

and yet there is an issue. I log in where you state to. and I have to log in constantly.

and I'm not the only one. telling us the same thing over and over is NOT helping. there is a problem. fact.

Try clearing browser cache, deleting the Daz cookies  and letting Daz build them again then log out  on the Home page and then log in again.  This is something that doesn't happen to everybody. There must be something else that influences it.

    done all that. *repeatedly*

I can keep doing it if you want. 5 times. 10 times. 50 times. it'll keep logging me out, since the issue is not this end.

tho you'll lell me otherwise.. despite the growing evidence....

oh and I should note, I've tried with Chrome. Edge. Firefox. 2 different PCs and 3 Android devices (note - not swapping I mean use one and only one. same result, logged out mid session or soon as I move away from the site.)

so. how many times will clearing a cache/cookies etc actually have to be done ....?

it is easy for someone who is not experiencing something to judge those who are

that is why people get served fish, eggs and peanuts by restaurants in spite of informing them they have allergies and die of aphylactic shock

I was booted after about an hour just now. First it was the forum requiring login (automatic) every morning. Now the site is becoming more often.  I hope it doesn't start being several times a day,

Believe you me,  we want this to be cleared up.   However the fact that it is only happening to a small part of the user base does not make it easy to work out.

Nobody is judging anyone else.   There has to be a reason.   Finding the trigger that sets off this Login/logout  dance is the problem.   There has to be a common denominator somewhere to ecplain why some people are experiencing this.

Well I have come to the site 3 times today and had to sign in each time (on the home page) - the computer hasn't been shut down, the browser (Firefox 79) has. I am used to having to sign in when I change devices or networks (work and home) - it only seems to recognise one device at a time. I can understand that and can live with it. But I can usually get through a day on one Desktop without having to log in over and over. So whatever they are trying is making it worse. This wasn't this bad yesterday for me. And this is the only site I get logged out of between devices.

Maybe the team need to start create surveys to see what people are using and see if there are any common denominators, each one filtered by the results of the previous.

Why a small part of the userbase? It looks to me that many people are facing this issue. We have no idea about how many people are not facing it.

As Sevrin said, if that's the problem, then the login page should redirect people to the home page login.
I have seen no difference in forced logout rate between the two.

I highly doubt it's a matter of cache/cookies. It looks more like a website problem.

It's not all that uncommon of a problem, as is evidenced by the number of posts both now and in the past (rest assured most who experience it never post, too).

Perhaps DAZ could post some sort of a quick survey to tabulate information (OS, browser, whether they login under different devices, where they logged in, etc.) about those who have the issue and don't have the issue.

    - Greg

ETA: I've been experiencing it much more often recently.

Maybe only a small part of the user base can be bothered to complain, i.e. regular users of this forum.  I've lost count of the number of times I've had to log in today.

Because it only takes a couple of mouse clicks to log in again I couldn't be bothered to complain about it, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I wish. For me the user name will autofill but besides the "couple of mouse clicks" I have to type my password everytime.

Also, I am currently sitting on a $140 order in my cart and I am concerned that I could be logged out during checkout and therefore charged a lot more because of lost discounts.

So far this hasn't got as bad as it was in the past, but yesterday it was three times in three visits... and I have followed all recommended protocols including clearing cookies.

I mainly visit the forums via Safari or Firefox on my iPad. It's updated to the latest version of iPadOS.

It seems less frequent on Firefox, but that could be coincidental, as I'm lazy and defer to Safari more often (too lazy to build up my bookmarks and preferences on Firefox yet).

I can only repeat what others said. Something broken here.

Yeah, I know this is a known issue, which is why I've ignored new threads on the topic in the past couple of years, and I know all of the advice that Chohole posted, which hasn't made a difference for me before...

    However.

Small part of the population or no, you have many people now reporting that in the past 24-36 hours it got really bad. It was really, really bad yesterday. So far it seems to have settled down today for me, fingers crossed. If the folks responsible for the site/servers/wherever else the problem may lie are serious about trying to investigate the issue, knowing that it got exceptionally bad yesterday might help them know where to look for changes that could point them in a direction of the root cause. Even if it's the same people being affected yesterday that regularly have the issue, something changed for us.

yeah, it's gotten much worse the past few days for me also. I don't usually complain about it, but now i am since it's gotten as bad as it has.

I use just one device (PC with up to date Windows 10) and only log in from the Home page. Daz3D logs me out every time I try to access the store, so most times now I don't bother logging in, and I don't access the forum pages. I've mostly stopped posting here, too, since it's a waste of time trying to access the site.

I have a little store credit saved, but once that's gone, assuming I can actually use the store, I'm going to drop Daz3D from my Favorites list, even though my PC membership was extended.

So thanks, Daz, you've lost a long standing customer.

No one has explicitly said so, but are you using different tabs for your browsing, or do you leave the site and come back all on the same tab? I keep one on the forums, another for my account stuff (product library, messages, etc.) and another 1 or 5 more for the store. If I want to go somewhere else, then, more tabs, maybe another window if it's too crowded.

I only use one tab for Daz, be it store, gallery or forum.

I'm seeing it too, but I agree not the biggest problem in the world, and I assume it will be fixed at some point.
