oh wow a page of posts between one I quoted  I missed just appeared,

this forum is great at making it look like one didn't read others posts blush

I believe it's a server sync issue. It happens every once in a while, but yeah, it's annoying. Particularly when someone asks a question, and you see no one has answered the question. So you take the time to answer only to come back later and see that several people had posted like even 20 minutes before you who had already answered the question. lol The posts weren't there before. They just "magically appear" when the servers finally sync up (at least I think that's the cause of it - though occasionally it's also because of threads getting merged.).

Thankfully it only happens every once in a while.

This is the first DAZ adult female Pro Bundle EVER, in THE HISTORY OF DAZ, where EVERY SINGLE INCLUDED OUTFIT comes with PRACTICAL SHOES!!!

    surprise

I stopped watching wrestling before female wrestlers became commonplace, but I feel like heels are or (hopefully) were a pretty regular feature of their outfits.

Not that I've ever seen.  Way too easy to cause serious, career ending injuries. Well, in real wrestling anyway. I'm sure you can find video of someone wrestling in Jello or something else fetishy like that, but even in the old school Japanese womens wrestling, with serious hardcore fighters like Cutie Suzuki, they used nice soft wrestling footwear rather than the equivalent of hard plastic clubs and daggers on their feet.

But happening more often now that in the past.  And it seems to occur more frequently with every time they "upgrade" the front page to add more windows, whistles and bells.

For what it's worth, it was an easy decision to buy for me, given that she's a good looking character and I got two purple bar offers.  My only quibble is that the Free DAZ originals offer is pretty limited in selection, as I had no options available in the Morphs and Tattoos category, and even if I hadn't owned them all, I though it was pretty ridiculous that there were only three items in that category that were releasd after Genesis 2.

Well that's nice...bought two things I could have waited on just to get the banner...for a bundle I couldn't be less interested in. Character is fine and well-made...facially she's one of the more realistic characters I've seen in terms of eyes, etc...but oy, wrestling? *sigh* Only thing I want is Redz new hair.

I did get two banners...have no idea if they stack. Testing for folks in the thread...bundle by itself comes up $42.32 (including the fact that I'm PC+). Bundle plus four cheapest add-ons comes to $53.33 ($29.62 for the bundle itself).

Sidenote - absolutely against putting animations into a pro bundle. Not everybody does animations. Waste of a pro bundle slot...wouldn't even install it.

Agreed. Way more people do NOT animate than do. Maybe make it an option instead.

Er... except you CAN use individual frames of the animations as poses and DS comes with everything you need to do it.  In fact, it's kind of the equivalent of getting a lot more poses at no extra charge, so as long as it's only replacing another pose pack, I don't see it as a big deal.  Now, if they'd stuck that ridiculously basic fighting ring prop that's in the add-ons section as one of the bundle items, I'd have complained about that.  I was also surprised that none of the PAs thought to add a referee costume or boxing outfit.

It could be an extra item, no need to replace anything or pay addon. Several of the last pro bundles had 12 items. This one has only 11.

At any rate, it's moot for me since I haven't bought the bundle and likely never will ;).

I'm NOT a fan of wrestling, not since the days of the Iron Sheik, Abdullah the Butcher & King Kong Bundy. This set doesn't have any Lucha Libre masks or a championship belt? Vince McMahon would be appalled.

I'm going to pick the bundle up because I have been lobbying Daz to bring in a Pacific Islander female & they've held up their end of the bargain, so I'll hold up mine.

The deal, even with the purple banner is really not at all robust. I'm almost not saving anything. The $15 in multiple categories always sounds good in theory, but in practice, I always leave a ton of money on the table.

I do appreciate the animation set, but can appreciate that not everyone animates. It should have been one of the add ons instead of in the bundle

I actually feel the same way about the boring lookalike pose packs most bundles include to be honest

hardly use included ones, buy actual useful ones separately

Well, Daz just made some people who already bought their gift card today a little less happy about the 20% off deal they got.

Ugh... I really have to learn to wait until the end of the day before I pull the trigger on these. More often then not, it pays off.

Man, the infamos DAZ "lefvt hand doesn't know what the right one's doiung" syndrom strikes again.  If I hadn'tjust  bought a huge GC at at an even better discount than the ProBundle discounts combined with this, I'd be P.O.'d.  As it is, I'd recommend that you submit the issue to customer service and seeing what they can do.  If there's one area where DAZ has staff that consistantly goes far above and beyond expectations, it's their customer service people.

That's been my experience as well. They do the best job.

But marketing consistently teaches people to wait as long as possible to buy a new Pro Bundle.

I LOVE Kayo 8. Here she is out of the box. Since I don't have the HD-Add on yet, I dialed in 60% of Athletic HD shape from HD Body Shapes for Genesis 8 Female. And I think that complemented her nicely in giving her a bigger build. I did post-worked the background since I rendered her quickly without a BG.

When i read in Kayo sale "Get EXTRA XX% OFF a Gift Card" i figured something like this could happen.

Still buying kayo with a GC is a bad deal unless you are out of credit and want to get some extra for later.

  • Personally, I was happy to see a pro bundle in a category other than fantasy for a change. Not that I mind fantasy but it's good to have other items to choose from too!

It suits me just fine. I prefer to buy my Gift Cards alone & not part of a package.

If I take advantage of this Gift Card deal, I'm getting a $200 GC for $144.  But I already had $100.53 in the cart with the Kayo 8 Pro Bundle and other stuff. Hmmm... That's a chunk of cash right there, but I will probably do it after I get home tonight - if still valid.

The point of this is that I'm getting both the 20% off and the Flash Sale 10% off stacked (not quite 30% off, not sure what that is about, but still) - Niiiiiice.

Seems clear. Perhaps they changed the promo language because this is what it says now (But Dax has run this same promotion lots of times)

Choose $15 worth of Select Daz Originals
    in each 'Select' category FREE**

They changed the language. Good. Last time the deal was different to the wording, they changed the deal.

I would assume that Daz has this policy of "sweetening the deal" as time goes on so that when a new figure doesn't make as big of a splash as they'd like, they have the option of adding further enticements. Sometimes it's more off a gift card, sometimes it's the discounts of the bonus items getting larger. I don't think it's a matter of one hand not knowing what the other is doing.

It's progressive, 20% off and then 10% off that. So that works out to about 28% off the original figure.

thing is, the big discount gift card not helpful for current purchase. so we can buy one at 10% off ... then use that to buy the bundle to get another at 20% off... or buy  it with the bundle purchase and get 28% off a future transaction.

Yeah, but I have NO DELUSIONS that this is my last purchase, so like, I'm GOING TO save somewhere along the line.  I'm cool with that.

In the Attitude Era with the Divas, yes it was a lot of skimpwear with heels, but now they wear boots or like tennis shoes with outfits that are pretty close to the bundle for the most part. There's no way they could do all the leaps off the top rope in heels.

Attitude Era is exactly when I stopped watching wrestling, because it ruined what I enjoyed about wrestling: the actual wrestling. I liked the athleticism and the competition (such as it was), especially the luchadors, not the overblown characters and their ridiculous psychodrama. I liked the 1-2-3 Kid, but hated X-Pac.

Yeah, I stopped right at the tail end of that era as well for similar reasons and just got back into it at the start of quarantine since I had time, wondered what was going on, and got a free month of the WWE Network. It's nowhere near as good as it was before, but they are getting back to more wrestling. There's definitely a few really talented people on all the brands that I enjoy watching.

Not replying to just you per se...as I see quite a few others have replied to my comment on the animations...

I'm well aware that you can load an animation cycle and pick a pose from that cycle to use. But. I can say that I've never found a cycle where I'd pick a base pose to jump from over a standard pose pack. Is it a possibility that I could find something I like from an animation cycle? Sure. Do I know how to use the timeline?  Yes, dForce is a thing in pretty much every render I do. But again...not a fan of animation cycles in general short of what I use for dForce because I'm not in the habbit of capturing my characters in the middle of a movement. I rarely use pose packs without some sort of manipulation as well...they're largely just a starting off point for me...but...yeah.

I'm also not a fan of multiple expression packs in a bundle. There are so many expression packs out there that they all look the same to me these days (for the most part) and I don't use clickable expressions anyways as they (largely) look unrealistic (to me) to the point of being ridiculous. The only expressions I use are the DO HD sliders along with HD Visemes. Glad the expression-only sets have for the most part moved to the add-on section rather than the actual bundle section.

And I can see why folks don't like the HD add-on as part of a bundle, unless it's absolutely needed for the character. Some don't use it. I do, but I can see why some people don't...so I don't mind that they aren't included in most bundles.

Which one? There's the store page main banner promo, there's the sale page top banner, there's the sale page background promo, there's the main promo for the pro bundle, and one for the starter bundle, and one for just Kayo 8 by herself. You'll have to be more specific or link to the image. :)
