OK, so once again I'm not into the character, but I love the bundle! Retro 60's mod sci-fi! Right up my alley! And I can even see that I'll be able to find 4 addons I like. I like the addon characters NOT in the bundle better than ones in the bundle. Hope to get a purple banner, but I know I'm getting this bundle!
Oh and those wigs! The whole bundle is so Jetsonesque and I love it!

Yep, it's time for another bi-monthly Pro Bundle, this time featuring Alawa 8!
I'm kinda curious as to how the retro spacesuit in the Pro bundle looks from the back. Alawa herself looks a bit more mature, which I'm sure some people will like.

Oh man I love her, and I've been hoping for another bundle themed around really fun sci-fi stuff.
There are two exact same threads, reckon they'll be merged soon enough.
I love the new character, Alawa 8! But I learned the hard way recently if you buy too soon, you might get a purple banner after the fact so am TRYING to wait until morning to run my cart through. I really like a lot of the add-on charcters as well this time. Good all around bundle for me.

Alawa herself and Hinkypunk's Yve look great, but not much else catches my eye in this lot.
Like the character. But I don't *do* SciFi, so I think I may blow off the bundle this time. (Although the Galactic Empress hair is a real hoot. Almost makes me wish I did do SF.)
Alawa 8 looks terrible on the head promo pic; almost ridiculous. You have to click on the promo to see that she is an interesting character - and a real beauty! I like her very much!

Love the theme with this release - retro sci-fi! Having to wishlist a lot but I'm looking forward to affording the outfits, that empress hair, and the personal quarters when I can.
Alawa herself looks great, as do some of the characters - I like the makeup options that come with Airess for example :)

I like her quite a bit. There are couple of promo images that Immediately reminded me of the space flight attendant character from The 5th Element, and, from looking at all of the accessories and add-ons, It seems as though a number of the DAZ artists were picking up on the same vibe.
Love the theme and like the character - but gracious the clothing is awful! (well, except the space suit) I know, this is a VERY subjective subject (a human aspect that the fashion industry continues to exploit! LOL!)... but all three clothing items of the same modesque-quirky-chic-retro-GoGo Dancer sci-fi style???
I would have liked it MUCH better if they had done the retro aspects from a different era for each of the sets: one 60's, one 40's (like the old Buck Rodgers or Flash Gorden serials), and one somewhere else (even back in the REALLY strange but kinda neat "Metropolis" era sci-fi). At least the hair is interesting (and from different eras of cinema)!
I think on this one I might just wait and pick up the character some time... and the space suit - too much stuff I would never use in the bundle, sadly. Not like I don't have time to wait with my rig not functional for rendering.
... and why is the model wearing the skirt backwards in the promos for "The Blue Outfit" (or whatever it is called)??? I don't think you could actually wear it that way without the suspenders falling off every couple of minutes...
She looks Amazing her skin is one of the best I have seen. I wonder what lights are used on the main image of Alawa 8 her pro bundle? It brings out her skin so beautifully.
I never saw such unfit Pro Bundle for a DAZ figure as for Alawa. This Scifi theme fit maybe a Amime figure. I am very disappointed ; another step DAZ goes down the drain with this stupid content decisions.

I agree, Love the character (and the hairs) but not the clothes.
For me, the retro space suit is of little interest as well seeing that I own the Dasan pro bundle and can easily convert his suit for females, I don't need an exact female version.
Also, I think the extra 60$ worth of items is a very weak incentive seeing as they are only discounted 37%. Compared to the other end of the spectre where for Leroy we got 2 pro bundles and 100$ worth of stuff from items discounted at least 50% , if not more, this is just bad.
Might as well skip it, as I am low on funds, or wait to see if some other offers appear during the week to combine with it.

I have it, as I own like 80% of the pro bundles but it's nothing special. One of the weakest purple banners for pro bundles I've seen so far.
I reeeeeeaaally dig her face, I've been hoping for a core character like this!
Josephene 8's base was released on sale at 18.88 so why is Alawa 8 22.03? It may not seem like much but right now that's the difference between affordable and not for me.
As usual I wil certainly buy the new pro bundle... I rarely resist Daz characters.

Please make an effort to release Daz's original juvenile characters, young men's characters, girls' characters, and other not-so-facial characters that Japanese people seem to like.

Really? I have almost every Gen8 bundle and don't have one. What is the banner deal? I really like his bundle but the price is just too high without an extra discount. I ALWAYS get a banner..Will be really bummed if I don't get one for this...
A lot to appreciate here! But not quite a slam dunk in my very subjective opinion.
She looks really beautiful in some promos, kind of meh in others. The 3 headshots DAZ chose for her banner are probably the 3 worst renders of her, completely devoid of charm. At the moment I'm kind of lukewarm on her and her various add-on characters but I might warm up to her as time passes. I don't know, just a feeling I have.
Some googling makes me think she's meant to be an Native American character. The female equivalent to Dasan, whos bundle also had a retro sci-fi theme. Alawa looks about a decade younger than Dasan, though.
The retro sci-fi stuff doesn't tickle me, but that's just me. On one hand I really appreciate that DAZ didn't go the obvious route with the marketing of their Native American characters this time around. On the other hand... it does kind of seem random? I guess I'm never satisfied no matter what, is what I'm saying, LOL.

I feel like the bundle has very little to do with her character.
I like that they chose a theme for the bundle, I really dislike the theme itself and it's putting me off buying it (toghether with a plethora of other reasons) in spite of liking the base character itself a lot.
