In Iray, How Do You Change the Color of Something?

If I remember correctly, in 3Delight, when you wanted to change the overall color of a surface, you'd go to the Surfaces Tab, and choose your surface, then click on Diffuse, and you'd get a DIFFUSE COLOR choice. In Iray, with all those adjustments, is there one tab, or box, or something, that does what the 3Delight DIFFUSE COLOR option did?

Thanks for the pointer. My usual go-to is the docs page here, but I keep getting tripped up because it's only partly written in English (the rest is written in technical optics jargon, which I don't understand). This sounds a bit more my-brain-friendly.
