i just discovered that the bank's drive thru window is open for business. My parents are too scared to go outside of the neighborhood though.
Oh, wow! Big thunderstorm outside right now. Well, I guess outside is a good place for it.
Made me jump in my seat when flash and thunder came almost simultaneously. Computers and TV are on battery so if the lights go out, I'll have time to shutdown the computers. Kind of early for a big thunderstorm. Last year, all summer, we didn't get but about 4 big thunderstorms. Temperature today was up in the 60sF. Cooling off now, must be a front moving through.
War is God's way of teaching Americans Geography. I don't think there's anything that could force us to learn actual History!
Pearl Harbor and the Explosions was one of my favorite punk bands!!!
Demolition Man was such a cool movie! So many good sound bites. "So, I'm eating a ratburger?" "Hey, esse, you see any cows?"
Uhmmm... I do hope they use an E-Thermometer... the type of thermometer held against the forehead for a few seconds, and not one of those thermometers which require a bodily orifice. O_o Though, I suppose there might be one or two individualss who would enjoy that a bit too much.
I'm jealous! I miss the thunder and lightening storms I used to experience on the north eastern coast. The west coast storms are pathetic by comparison and so very rare. My creativity is never as energized as when there is a storm outside. It's just unfortunate that it so difficult to be creative in the dark.
For a brief momment there I was imagining you worked with handicap whales.
Oh my. I daren't do that around here. I might attract a few possum and other small furies, but I would certainly attract a "horde" of raccoons, some deer, and maybe even the local band of turkeys. In the end, though, I fear this would lead to visits from the area's mountain lions.
Speaking of wildlife... I've gotten used to listening to frogs, owls, bats, racoons, fural cats, and a sundery of other creatures at night around here. Recently I was surprised by a new sound, though. At about 8 PM each night people have started howling as a sign of solidarity while trapped at home in the mountains and on the coast, due to the virus and stay at home order.
the blueberries are gone and the apple was munched.
mebbe the birds and the mice will come together to make a dress for me.

I lived in Florida for several decades. Big thunderstorms are common there. LIke, daily during the summer. Actually participated in lightning research at the Kennedy Space Center during the '70s.

Only for fools who don't follow instructions and safety precautions!

Right now I want a Smirnoff but I am afraid it has alcohol.
Or those fools who try to kill a nest of wasps that took up residence inside the grill... run the gas, then realize the igniter isn't working and go to get a blowtorch to stick in the side opening... only to realize they have the blowtorch with the bad igniter on it too, then as the wasps are starting to take notice, accidentally turn up the gas too high while trying to get the thing to light and blow the whole lid off the grill in a spectacular explosion that said fool still doesn't completely understand fully what caused it to be so big and how they didn't go "Fooof!"... according to some fool... who totally wasn't me... But it got rid of the wasps... or so I've been told... by the fool... who wasn't me... I'd never do that again... I mean at all... ever... yeah... fools... darned fools...
It's vodka... so... it's made from potatoes... and so are Pringles and Tater Tots... and they don't get you drunk... unless you soak them in rum.
Which I wouldn't recommend... well, maybe the tater tots... I'd dip the Pringles in rum... and it would probably be better in spiced rum.
And, just like hyooman kids, some liked to ride the merry go round and some liked to push!
Supposedly, during the SARS thing, word got around Russia that alcohol would protect you from getting if taken internally. As if they needed an excuse. Genuine Russian joke (as told by a genuine Russian): In Russia, red wine is wine. White wine is vodka!
my dad is so old fashioned that he doesn't even want to use the drive thru teller at the bank. He would rather go inside and talk to the teller at a the counter. He'll need to wait a few more weeks before the inside of the branch is open to the public to deposit his paper checks.
i hear cars passing by, guess they all going to drive thrus
bears and cats?
i been 'working'at home over 3 weeks. ony one to talk to is siri.
I got Alexa too. Wait I also got 4 other housemates not including the goldfish or the staff. My goldfish keep insisting that they are hungry fish after not enough time since their last feeding. Especially Charley does not know about goldfish obesity apparently.
At first I thought that was a dog with an afro or big fluffy ears in the top photo.
Darn strange looking bear and cat in the bottom photo.
just remembered who that bear reminded of
