Non-complaint complaint:  Snow.  Although, I expected it from the weather reports, I got up this morning and had forgotten all about it.  Window shades were down but I could see that the sun was bright (unusual here, it's most often gray).  Got downstairs, stumbled around a bit on my still sore feet/ankles/knees/hips/lowerback & all the muscles that make them move, made my coffee, finally looked up out of the kitchen window and what to my wondering eyes should I see, but a cottonball wonderland.  The ground and the still bare bush and tree branches are thickly coated with an inch of what appears to be little balls of cotton.  Like globs of white cotton candy sparkling in patterns in the pure bright skyblue sky.  For the moment it's beautiful but will be gone by noon, which makes it all the more palatable.  And to top it off, the bright sun again activated my kitchen window prisms for near the last time this season, as it moves to its summertime unfavorable window illuminating position behind the trees & buildings.

'Nother non-complaint:  I forgot to mention that during my watching of the "Ekaterina" series about Catherine The Great yesterday, there was a scene staged in the (restored) Amber Room of the palace at Tsarskoye Selo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amber_Room  This third season of the TV serial has many interior and exterior shots of the palaces and grounds in St. Petersburg.  Some of the interior shots have to have been staged in the actual palaces because nobody would build grand sets like that for a TV show.  I particularly love photos of the Amber Room because I collect amber myself and know that it's so hard to find large pieces.  Where "large" is any more than a half inch in diameter.  The Amber Room has the walls  covered in a mosaic of amber pieces about an inch in diameter. ($$$$$$$$)

Sounds like you're not quite sure. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt. wink

I really hope they find the original panels some day. They were probably destroyed, either during the bombing of Königsberg (or Kaliningrad) or when the ship they may have been transported on was sunk. Still there are so many theories about where they could be. It's fun to hold out hope they're just waiting to be discovered somewhere.

I started bingeing on that show a few weeks back, but I got side-tracked and haven't finished the second season. I love it! It's giving me some serious nostalgia for the 00s world.

What I can't really understand is how everyone seems to think Joy is such a terrible mother. Her way of dealing with the grief over Georgia isn't the most productive, but she's trying to keep it together in the only way that works for her. She's made mistakes, but they're not worse than most parents'. Georgia wasn't an easy person to deal with. She recognises that herself, after her death. Joy could have reacted a lot worse to Reggie's behaviour, but instead of punishing her she sincerely tries to help. Maybe I grew up in Dysfunctionville, but pretty much everyone I hung out with between Reggie's age and Georgia's age had far more hostile interactions with their parents at some point. Joy hardly ever even raises her voice.

Theres a series finale movie,  Dead Like Me, Afterlife

now that you mention vibration, i think the case fan isn't removing heat fast enough.  I thought 1,200 RPM is fast.  Maybe I need a faster fan?  So the heat from CPU and GPU is building up inside the case I guess.  I'll replace the back fan first.  Price is only $15 including shipping and handling.  Replacing the power supply is such a hassle because I need to disconnect ALL the power wires.  ok, I need to wash the dust of my hands again.  Yuck.

Regarding fan replacement.  Measure twice, order once.  It took me two tries, twice, before I learned.frown  Much easier if the holes in the case line up with the holes in the fan.  Who, would'a guessed.indecision

Usually a day clinic...in and out, same day.  Mom had it done, I was in the waiting room an hour or two.  I think they'll give you those dark temporary shades for when you leave.  But maybe I'm confusing this part with another procedure.

Yeah, I had the procedure done one eye at a time about two weeks apart.  I was in and out in a few hours each time.  Perhaps 30 minute wait beforehand while filling out papers, then about an hour more waiting after procedure while coming out of la-la land enough to be driven home.  I absolutely HAD to have someone arrive with me, wait, and take me home.  No driving, no walking.  They wouldn't do the procedure unless I had my driver with me.  Although I suppose a saddle on a homing tortoise would work too.  Apparently, during my ride home I regaled my brother with all sorts of la-la wisdom.  I got home in the middle of the afternoon, went to bed and didn't get up until morning.

Check with your doctor or the clinic, your mileage may vary.  But as far as I know, they knock you out completely for the procedure and you are dangerously groggy for several hours afterwards.  Not safe to wander the streets on foot or behind a wheel.  But if you can get to public transportation (especially a handicap transport) easily, that may suffice.  They might keep you longer than they did for me to let the knockout drugs wear off a bit more.  But as I say, check with your doctor or the clinic for their particular rules.  Explain your situation.  I'm sure you're not the first patient in that situation.  But I am sorry to announce that I have no information on where to hire a homing tortoise though.  Or even a saddle for one.

The clinic I went to was specifically for eye surgeries.  They had about a half dozen short stay recovery beds and I think two operating rooms.  Two surgeons and a small staff.  Very pleasant, quick and the drugs were great!

And remember, my situation is probably a bit different than yours.  I live in the nether regions of NY State,  Surrounded by forests, the clinic was half way between the two biggest (laughingly called) cities in this area, even more out in the woods than where I live, so getting there and getting back practically requires personal transportation or a parachute.  Yeah, it's not a very civilized area around here.  We do have a local "bus" if you want to call it that, but it is NOT AT ALL convenient to anyplace except within the city itself.

Both my parents have had replacement lens, and at least one of them opted to have just local anaesthetic (I can't recall which, or if it was both). It was somewhat weird, as I recall, but perfectly bearable.

I love that show, Dead Like Me!  It turns into something of 'The F-Bomb Show' later on, but yeah, it is a very interesting show.

I liked it too. Especially when the little sister kept getting in trouble for stealing the neighbors' toilet seats!!!laugh The ensemble cast was great. Lots of existential humor.

Non-complaint:  Still watching 3rd season of "Ekaterina".  This season they're hopping all over Europe with various wars.  It's a Russian production so I read the subtitles to know what's going on.  It's interesting to note that when  in Russia they speak Russian.  In France they speak a lot of French.  In Italy they speak Italian.  In Prussia they speak German.  In Turkey they speak Turkish.  Subtitles for the American release are of course all in English but I don't think I've seen many American productions to such an extent use the actual language of the country being visited.  (I'm assuming that for the Russian release they had appropriate Russian subtitles for the foreign scenes.)  Also, when in the various countries they have some excellent scenes of the notable places and palaces.  Actually a very good series.  Costuming, photography, locations, sets, props, pacing, etc.
