Nice one, jgstyle! I like the animated one especially. You did the lighting on that well to boot. Did you render in DAZ?

Thanks RKane_1! I usually render using Blender Cycles - I did the still piece and the animation from there.

Thanks, but they are not DAZ figures, but game models rendered in Luxrender thru DS. They were imported into 3DSMax and posed then exported to DS. I just edited the spec maps, the normal maps and the mesh after posing. If you want more info just PM me.

I gotta thank Joe Quick for both of these...one directly, and one indirectly.

First, the direct thanks...couldn't have done this one without Duckie...

And then indirectly...Joe mentioned this scene a while back. I couldn't build a decent Mr. Miracle, so I substituted Booster Gold...

CLASSIC Giffen era Justice League. I loved that stint!

Looks like Howard the Duck's in a bit of a muck.

    Fun stuff :)

    He's in deep....

I think that particular texture was called "mega deuce".

It was a favorite of mine too. If you enjoy that kind of thing, the current Transformers: More than Meets the Eye series is written VERY MUCH in that general style. They went as far as to spell it out by homaging the classic Maguire cover on the first issue.

    Whoa!

    Coolnesses.

I will have to check that out!

I am a little disappointed at the direction of the "New 52". I don't even want to get into what they did to Starfire's character. *sigh*

Nice one, sir. I love Dwayne McDuffie's stuff. I am sad because they went to DC to die an ignominious death unwarranted by their creativity. DC is more and more on my s&!t-list, these days.

They never committed to anything but Static and even he didn't get as much play as I thought he should have.

I know the feeling. I miss Dwayne, I miss him a lot. Many of his characters never got the chance to really shine, I had hopes that they might find a wider audience in the Young Justice animated series when they introduced Icon and Rocket, but I think a lot of that would have been in the third season.

As for DC, I don't even recognize them anymore. I was always a "DC Guy" but they have been trying so hard, for so long, to be like Marvel, that they have lost their soul.
