    ..'plaint:

Having issues getting some clothing content to fit correctly.  Put a post over on Nuts & Bolts about it, but sometimes it takes a while to get a reply.

Basically I was trying to fit Boho for G3F to Leela (I keep a base character preset of all my characters in the default pose and merge them into scenes as needed) but it seems as if Autofit never finishes he process (teh collar and sleeves of the blouse don't fit ti her arms and shoulders while the skirt doesn't fit properly to her hips).  The frustrating part is I had no trouble fitting this to her before for another scene.  I also have no difficulty fitting it to other characters, and likewise I tested fitting other clothing content to her (even clothing for earlier Genesis versions) and everything is fine.  It makes absolutely no sense why it worked before and now suddenly doesn't.  I even uninstalled and downloaded/reinstalled it again thinking it may have been some kind of file corruption but the same thing happens.

Me too, but my almost local little-old-man liquor shop doesn't carry it often.  I'm sure there must be a bigger, more complete liquor shop deeper in the city but I never sought them out.

I really don't drink much.  On average I have one drink about every two weeks.  I have to drink early in the day (before 5:00 PM) otherwise my stomach rebels.  Over a year I get two bottles  of a moderately cheap ($20) champagne (little "c", not big "C"), a bottle of vodka, and a bottle of peach (or apricot when available) brandy.  I never have more than one shot or jigger (1.5 oz) at a time.  The vodka usually lasts a year or two and never have more than an ounce in a mixed drink.  My birthday is a private champagne day for me, where I make the bottle last all day.  At the end of year, the holidays usually find me a way to open the other bottle with someone.  But the year I turned 70 I splurged on a pricey bottle of bubbly for my birthday.  If I make it to 75 or 80 I'll try that again.  Not really much better tasting but the box is wonderful.laugh

...ugh head is sore from beating it against the wall for most of the evening trying to figure out why I cant get that one clothing item to fit.   Found one other, the Belle Dress for G3F that has the same issue.  Both it and Boho are by Aave Nainen. who adds a number of extra draping morphs to make for more realistic fits (sort of a pre-dForce process) , but again that doesn't 'explain why it fit perfectly fine earlier but refuses to now.  I experimented with tried fitting some of her G2F items to the character, and they all worked just fine.

It's like something isn't being defined correctly between the clothing and character which is causing the process to crash every time.  I even tried using the transfer utility as well but with no success.

I like most British mystery shows.  Mystery shows in general.  But I have to admit I was almost about to abandon "Johathan Creek" because of the vile creature of a reporter that dragged him into the investigations.  By the third season I was rooting for her to fall down a well* and Lassie not give a damn, 'cause I wouldn't.  Terrible person.  Selfish, whiney, no sense of propriety or morals.  Absolutely hated her.  But apparently I wasn't the only one because in the third season, the writers started throwing karma at her and by the 4th season she was replaced with someone not quite so disgusting, but still no paragon of virtue.  A reality show director.frown

*For non-American readers, the early '50s American TV show "Lassie" featured a collie dog hero who at one (or more) point(s) saved the young boy of the series after he fell into a well, by running to get help and barking wildly at the stupid adults who didn't understand "bark" but eventually followed Lassie back to the well.  This has become sort of a meme of "Lassie saving Jeff (or Timmy) from the well".

PS: We old timers remember Jeff, Mom & Gramps and the ancient wooden telephone mounted on the wall that you had to crank to get the operator "Jenny".

The episode: "The Well" with original family.  1955.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gnxRPhEDY8

PPS:  The boy, Jeff, played by Tommy Rettig also starred in the Dr. Seuss dream movie "The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T"  (my favorite excerpt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqy4xcXgtxM )

Edited blushing:  OMG, apparently neither Jeff nor Timmy ever fell in the well.  It was Lassie in the well.surprise  Incredible how our memories morph over 60 years of unintentional social pressure.  Similar to Capt. Kirk never saying "Beam me up, Scotty." surprise

I like most British mystery shows.

yesyes They're very popular in Norway. British and German/Austrian detective shows are our jam. My favourite is hands down Midsomer Murders, because of its darkly funny streak and occasional sheer lunacy. Dalziel and Pascoe comes in as a close second. I'll watch anything from Poirot to Wire in the Blood, depending on the mood.

the vile creature of a reporter

Maddie. I'm glad I'm not alone in being annoyed by her. She has issues. I mean, that can often make a character interesting, but Maddie had very little personal growth. I cheered a bit when she accidentally ate a slug. Carla didn't really leave any lasting impression, I even had to lookup what her name was.

I am similar.   I have a new, unopened bottle of Apricot Brandy that I bought early december,  ready fopr christmas.   I still have a shot, or maybe 2 left in the bottle of Southern comfort I bought for last christmas.   On line store where I get my groceries from sell diddy bottles of wine  about ¼ of a standard wine bottle,  so one large glass,   they are very handy,  usually have 2 or 3 in the fridge in case I fancy a drink. I usally have a ¼ bottle of Brandy in the cupboard (medicinal purposes only)  but Grocery store offered me a bottle of reasonable Brandy in exchange for a fair review.  I think that will last me a year or two.   I did also buy a few of the small size bottles of fizz,  Prosecco and cava rather than champers,  as I tend to mix them with either freshlly squeezed orange juice, or a little kirsch or chambord to make a change (I have a small bottle of chambord this year) .  I have a significant birthday this year as I was born just a few weeks before the war ended, so may open the Apricot Brandy for that.  and maybe use some of the chambord to make a trifle.

...well I have all sorts for sale here. Three bascule draw bridges (one truss), a vertical lift single deck truss bridge, a dual deck vertical lift truss bridge (the lower deck of which can rise independent of the upper one), a cantilever truss bridge, a steel-truss cantilever bridge. a single deck arch bridge, a double deck steel tied arch bridge, a single level tied arch bridge, a double span vertical lift truss bridge, a cable stay bridge, a segmented span bridge and a classic suspension bridge.

I wouldn't want to be on the lower deck when it started to rise indepently of the upper, that seems an unduly draconian approach to slimming.

Apparently trains run on the lower bridge, and the lower level locks into the upper level when raised, so they must be unflateable trains

Non-complaint following an intital complaint:  Arghhhh... why must it be so difficult?  I have Amazon's "FireTV" Stick gizmo and am a member of Amazon Prime with all the advantages that gives.  I have no cable TV subscriptions and get all TV entertainment via the FireTV.  I also subscribe (or have subscribed) to various streaming services like NetFlix, Hulu, STARZ, and Britbox, but not all at once ($$$).  So I have one or two subscriptions and over time pick it clean of worthwhile shows then unsubscribe from that and pick another service to subscribe to.  The FireTV thingie makes it easy, just select the service you want to join and bing-badda-boom your Amazon account has been updated, you've been charged for the 1st month, and you're off and running.  EXCEPT for "CBS-All-Access". Grrrrr.  Last night about 6:00PM I purchased access to CBS-AllAccess and then spent 5 hours trying to get logged in and activated.angrycrying  I went to bed unhappy.  I carefully followed the bread crumbs within FireTV dialogs, I went to the Amazon website and followed instructions there, I went to the CBS site and followed instructions there.  Nowhere among the various differing sets of apparently outdated instructions did I find a place for me to establish a login account to CBS-AllAccess that didn't AGAIN try to get me to pay for a subscription.frown.

This morning for two more hours after a good nights rest and with a freshly operating brain I tried, still unsuccessfully, to get my subscription activated.crying  Finally, I found a telephone number for CBS help and called it ready to bite the head off the person who answered.  But I held my tongue, explained the problem, and he immediately led me to "CBS.com/amazon" webpage where I could establish my CBS login account and have it accept that I'd already paid for the subscription via the Amazon FireTV Stick.  Well, duh!  It's obvious now, but NOWHERE in all those other help pages or login instructions did it ever mention that web page.frown  I filled in the data and bing-badda-boom it was done.  Yay!smiley  I can now watch the new Star Trek: Picard show starting on the 23rd.

Makes me wonder if it's done that way on purpose!  Get more money out of us (well, you, as I can't afford CBS All Access).  Very sad taht there's one more Star Trek show I'm missing out on due to finances and that damned CBS All Access!

For now!  We were watching Perry Mason.  Then, suddenly, the Watch button said, "Watch now with CBS All Access!"  Bait and switch, I tells ya!  Bait and switch!  Same happened with Mission: Impossible.
