...*yawn* the "Monumental Sale" is anything but. Another "buy this to get a discount on that".
Even the least expensive New Release and one of the non Pro Bundle Monumental Sale Items comes to more than just the individual 40% off Item alone.
...meh.
Is it a new sale or the same sale cause the old items are showing up but in shopping cart no discount so it's not clear what's happening.
Edit: Fixed while posting :)).
So it's same sale, glad I cleared my 20 item shopping cart, not looking for the items again for sure.
Second edit: broken again.
If I attach new item:
Tonight's sale seems to combine last two. They have tried fixing on their end; working there. At this point tickets would need to be filed.
Again this seems to be becoming the norm the customer has prroblems, and the store can't see those problems so they just continue.
Items with a gift card get only 20% off. Nor the percentage they got without the gift card.
Kinda defeats the whole 20% off gift cards idea. Is it a mistake?
Edit: It seems to be fixed nowl. thanks.
But render throttle for 3delight seems to be fixed, thanks, Cris!
Edit: It get's the 40% intro discount correct, but with a new item it should have 60%, but it get's just 50%.
If the problem cannot be duplicated, then it cannot be fixed. It's not the store that can't see the problem, but the guys who are trying to fix the problem.
I ment the 'guys', but this seems to be an increasingly used reason for the mess that is these sales - but if Daz don't care about the loss in trade thats just fine.
What do you want as an altrenative? They can't fix what isn't manifestly broken, and if they hastily threw together another promo (ignring the fact that newsletters would already have gone out for the old) it would be more likely to have issues due to lack of testing time. Daz may not be able to do anything, but that doesn't mean they don't care or that they are not deeply frustrated.
Just a heads up that it isn't discounting by 60% even when adding in a new item from the specific listed 'new section' - it does seem it discounts it by 40 or just a percent or two less than 40%.
And I am referring to the artist stores: Buy any New Release to get 60% OFF¥* Featured Artist Stores
Thanks.
Seems that the sale is fixed again for me as well.
The percentages are correct.
What I don't understand is what last two do you think are combined.
For me it looks exactly identical to the first monumental sale, with maybe more artists.
Simpler sales. I mentioned yesterday that the Medieval Hall bundle wasn't discounting as it should, and was ignored. As I said Daz obviously don't care about lost sales and lost trust so its pretty irrelavant.
Which discounts? I tried both an item from the carousel and an item from a featured PA, both not Daz originals so they showed a 40% discount, and when added to my cart with a bunch of new items they dscounted further (I didn't check that it was exactly 60% but it looked plausible).
Not care is not the same as not able to resolve the issue. Please stop imputing feelings or attitudes to others.
The first two items in the cart are still the same, and now Render Throttle is at half off, but the new item increased by nearly two bucks. Clearing my cart, will look at the new sale tomorrow. Everyone enjoy the rest of your weekend.

issues not fixed (eg polish items) but removed.
now 23052 items instead of over 24000.
will this be fixed tomorrow?
It says final 24 hours of the sale. I expect this means that tomorrow the sale will be over so if something isn't working today, it won't tomorrow either, because the offer will have ended.
But there's always another sale, so if you really, really want something, and it doesn't discount properly today, it will most likely go on sale again sometime in the future.
True. I decided that unless I need something very soon, I won't buy unless discount is around 80% or so.
This means, although I had like 28 items in my cart for this sale I won't buy anything since they are only at 72%.
The discount on the gift card of 20% would bring the total discount high enough I think but I have enough store credit, I don't need more.
This could work for very old content, but for stuff released in the past couple of years, I think these discounts are very limiting. Take a look at the price history of the given items to see at what prices they usually go on sale, that can help in setting a realistic expectation. If you get a greater discount than that, all the better! :)
That is actually a very good point as well. I check price history too. For example for all the 28 products in my carts at one time or another there was a smaller price.
Also, I based my percentage on recent sales, which might be misleading, I can't tell for sure as I am a pretty new Daz user but, I have purchased so much content lately that I haven't even looked at once that I really don't want to purchase more unless a very good deal or I really want/need something.
You joined at a pretty good time, but for calculating discounts that's a bad time. December is usually the best time of year when it comes to discounts: you will not often see these kinds of discounts at other times. However, your December loyalty discount is based on your spending during the year, so you can't just wait for December because then you won't have a high loyalty discount, and thus won't get those great discounts. A bit of a Catch 22... :D
My personal sweet spot is 60% for non-Daz items (that's what flash sales usually give on average), and 72% for DO items (which is the same 60%, plus the 30% PC+ discount). I go for anything I want that is at this discount or better. But this is just my personal taste, I know it varies from person to person.
Hi sorry for not replying sooner.
I actually tried all the artists stores earlier in the day and had an item or two from each of them.
--> I just tried now again, and added one new item first, and then added a Daz original like the Daz Dragon 3 Textures (not from the artist stores). Instead of 60% off from the price shown (which is already on sale) which is $8.38, I should be expected to pay $8.38- $5.03= $3.35
2. I added again an item from one of the artist stores and it is Millennia Outfit for Genesis 8 Female(s)
The sale price right now is listed as: $8.80
If I stacked 60% discount on that price, it should be: $8.80 - $5.28 = $3.52
The above are just examples. As right now, the prices shown in my cart respectively are: $5.59 for the Daz Dragon Textures and $5.86 for the Millennia Outfit. It means it is more around the 40% mark than anything else. I tried adding different new items as well, so unless I am missing something, it isn't working as intended.
hmm .. now there is a GC sale..but I have 4 items in cart and the GC is only discounting 20% not 22% plus nothing is being discounted anymore than it already was.
and more than likely sooner or later at a lot less
The "60% off with a new item" replaces the current 40% discount, it's not an extra 60% off.
Please don't assume that we all want simpler sales. Personally speaking, I rather enjoy these complex sales, as often they are the best way to cook up a real bargain. Straight percentages off gets boring fast, at least for me.
Where do you see a 22% off sale on gift card? What I see on today's sale page is 20% off...
And which items do you have in your cart? I tried with a few new releases from today's sale page and they do get a bigger discount in my cart.
+1
One of the promos had a 10% off GC offer if you purchased three or more new releases from that day's NRs. It is not in the rotation today, but I'm not sure just when it ended. My guess is they still had that page open.
It's just one more example why including end dates on sales promotions is a very good idea…
I've just noticed - why does the monumental sale say "over 24 000 items" when the category page only has 22 747 items?
