...rain and mid 40s here, pretty average...however...next starting next week Tuesday (Windows 7 D-Day) through Friday, much colder with frozen water from the sky, lots of it as well (almost like three years ago with regard to the timing).  Looks like a shopping trip this weekend to stock up is in order, need to go to the Cash & Carry for more coconut milk (almost half of what it costs at the mainstream markets for the same brand) to make a big batch of curry for those cold snowy/icy days.  Need to get some kind of "antifreeze" as well, fortunately there's a "boozateria" across the street.

Coconuts are really hard, how does one suck a coconut nipple?

    boozateeria where the warms is

batch od curry clear the sinuses

    suking coconuts like sucking eggs?

I am now worried that the pink and white pajama bottoms I got will stain too easily.  I am not wearing them right now but I tried them on briefly.  I think they are comfy but at a little over 15 dollars I think it is too much if they get stained which might ruin them?

    or am I overthinking things?

Not as long as the connection is secure.  And I don't think they will allow you to pay your mortgage with your credit card.  Utilities will often set up a direct debit for payments.  That's usually secure.  Nothing is totally secure these days.  Few things like utilities and mortgage banks will accept PayPal, as far as I know.  Mortgage payments are probably too large for a PayPal payment.  I doubt a mortgage bank would be willing to pay the 2.99% one time fee for a transfer via PayPal.

...coconut milk is not the liquid found in the centre a coconut after it;'s broken open (that is usually referred to as "coconut water"). It is actually made from the white "meat" of the coconut which is first first grated then pressed to extract the coconut creme used in making coconut milk The creme is then pressed several times more to produce a thinner version which is commonly used in cooking. The process can be done at home but it it rather time consuming and the end product needs to be used rather soon as it will turn rancid in a few hours at room temperature. To make the equivalent of a 13.5 oz (the usual liquid measure canned coconut milk is sold in), one would need about 3 - 4 coconuts, which can cost quite a bit more (plus all the work involved), then simply buying a can of imported coconut milk (the best coming from Thailand) at the local market.

Yeah, I could never understand the colloquialsm of calling breasts, "coconuts".  Impossibly hard, fibrous boobies are not the correct picture.indecision  Baby would become frustrated and hubby would just avoid them.devil

Still on the fence about upgrading to Windows10?  Apparently Microsoft now doesn't demand payment for a limited version of Win10.  You can download Win10 from their website and install it and it will run but if you don't buy it, it will not stop running.  Some features are disabled and I believe you could back-out to Win7 (or whatever) if you wanted, but you could continue to use Win10 without penalty.  Microsoft really wants to drop the old baggage of earlier OS's.

    YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYaRzp--xyk

Yeah, I get it that Win7 is sacred to some.  But if price was the barrier, and you are capable of adapting, and don't mind losing a few features, then it's worth considering.

Also, it is still apparently possible to get a full legal licensed copy of Win10 if you upgrade on a machine currently running a legal copy of Win7 or 8 or 8.1, by logging in to the Microsoft website and using their Media Creation Tool to download and install Win10.

(** Remember: Microsoft officially drops support for Windows7 on Jan 14, 2020 **)

  • Non-complaint:  And now for something completely different...  Another "Music to DAZ by"   Twenty-three minutes of imagery.  Claude Debussy's "La Mer" (tr: "The Sea").  Waves, storms, becalmed periods, take your pick.

I am not sure if this a complaint or a non-complaint.  I somehow got two refunds for the same two items that could not be shipped.  I made an order of 8 items but got only 6 of them.  The two that could not get shipped was refunded and came up to thirty something.  I was refunded on the original payment method (a gift card) yesterday, but today they sent a new gift card for the same amount.  As soon as I knew they were open I called and asked what was I supposed to do.  They told me thanks for being honest but I can keep both.

Now for something that is a real complaint, but I am not sure if I told it or not.  Apparently XL and X1 are not the same size.  I got a pair of pants that I want for work, but they were XL. After I got them yesterday I tried them on, but someone who works with my home told me that they were too tight for work.  They cost me about 20 something from the gift card.  I am going to try to return them ASAP so I can get some better sized pants that fit better.

A confusing complaint, the XL pajama pants fit fine but the XL work pants do not.  Why?

Yeah, that's just stupid. Everyone knows that boobs are melons. SMH.

Coconut milk is good stuff for cooking, though.

Non-complaint:  Music to DAZ by:  Wake up!  A little traveling music maestro.  Ten minutes of something familiar and fun to start your morning.  No, it's not the Bugs Bunny version, and no, it's not piano.  It's the orchestra version of a classic popularized in the modern world by a cartoon.

I feel like I am not helpful without a computer.  I feel like I am just spamming the threads since I still do not have my computer back, so I am sorry.  I wish I could post renders but unable to render due to no computer.

Maybe I need a break from the forums until I get my computer back.

Heh  We had an English teacher at school , back in the day, who would sit down to his breakfast and read a dictionary to find a new word for the day.  He would then add the new word into his lectures and we had to spot the new word, then find out what it meant.   Was a great way of getting a good vocabulary.

  • Non-complaint:  Wheee... Ay, admiral.  Thar be IRays here.  New graphics card has arrived.  Not a killer card, (but best I could afford/justify).  Much better than I've ever had before and it does IRay renderings many times faster than without it.smiley  It of course got installed into my new i5-8600, 32GB, DAZzing machine to replace the standard on-board graphics.  I haven't tested everything out yet, but so far it seems to be working and doesn't get very hot, even in my reused HP, crowded little case packed with new & better organs.  I don't do a lot of IRay stuff and don't have many IRay materials but not having a tolerable way to render IRay was leaving me behind in the dust.  Now, I'm on the watch for a good deal on a 1TB NVMe SSD to speed up mass storage.

New graphics card:  MSI GeForce 1660, 6GB, OCyes

I had a high school Chemistry teacher who played the Tom Lehrer song "The Elements" for us. She told us to listen very carefully, because he pronounced them all correctly. It's the names of all the chemical elements, in order,  sung to the tune of "A Very Modern Major General."laugh

Where is my lightning charger for my phone?  I found my tv remote but that will not charge up my phone.  There it is I think.
now why is my tv volume is set too high?  At least it was on the quiet TV guide or I would be afraid a housemate would complain.  Now to decide, YouTube, Hulu or Disney+.  Not sure if ESPN+ would have any football stuff I am interested in.

If I remember correctly  roast beef is slow cooked by itself ,pot roast is slow cooked with veggies in liquid ,like in a crockpot ,and yankee pot roast is pot roast and veggies in one of those oven bags with little to no liquid .

...sounds like it's W10S which limits what you can change (apologies I cannot stomach the ugly "Fisher Price" UI that is standard with W10 Crikey I don't even use standard sized icons and all my folders are set to the "Details" view mode as its more compact, concise, and easier to get around).  Then as mentioned there's the advert nagware which likely you will have to endure (unless you pay extra per month).  I bet though you still have to endure rubbish bloat (like Cortana) because you likely won't have the authority to turn it off either as well as be subject to when MS decides to update your computer (last  thing I need is a big render job crashing because of an auto-reboot). Finally there is old hardware/software which I have that is not supported by W10. Unless they want to buy me replacements, no deal.

Also not into leaving my work on someone else's cloud servers (particularly those of a company that is the #1 target in the world for hackers).  I'll trust my firewalls, VPN, AV, and anti malware utilities.

"Free" sometimes is not a very good price.
