This went 16 hours and only 45% done the first time I rendered it so I did a few changes and got the time down. I could have stopped it at 10 or 12 hours at 90% and not seen much of a difference but, as I wasn't too bothered I let it run.

I just updated an old render using Red Fox from no hair to the Catalyzer Fox. When I tried to load the Catalyzer Fox Studio 4.12 crashed immediately. I loaded the scene and tried again, same thing. This time I looked at the Crash Report and it said something about dual node names. I loaded the scene again and this time deleted the original fox before loading the Catalyzer one and it worked. I have attached the image. I don't know if that is a Studio 4.12 problem or the Catalyzer Plugin problem.

When it doesn't drop to CPU, yes. The original on the old laptop took 5 hours on CPU only compared to 53 minutes on this new one.

I bought the Arctic Sno-Cat and, as is my usual messed the shaders about a little. I added Let it Snow too as I didn't particularly like the supplied one. Background is an HDRI. The one thing that I would like to have seen was a way to raise the snow blade off the ground. The front tracks and the plow can be turned as can the blade on its own but it can't be raised.

I picked up the Asian Court Addon and did some test renders. I wasn't happy about the curved edges with the wide angle lenses so I used the Lens Distortion settings under the camera to fix it.
This is the original camera, which uses a 16.83mm Focal Length which is ultra wide angle, although using my own render settings.
