That would be a cool render. this looks like a really detailed set, so I doubt you could have more than one in an image without it taxing your system. Would be cool though to do a formidible pose all armored up and create a bunch of instances to create an army of them, hmmmm, might have to get this one now just to see that.

Maybe you could cheat by creating billboards for some of them, or render various parts separately and composite them?

And yes, that would definitely be a cool render.

Damn I want this but I am happy I finally got Sanjay this latest sale, only starter bundle but with two more items from pro to make up my minimum 4 worked out better than pro and 3 extra unneeded things, will need to leave this for another sale months away, only want the armour.

I’m not an expert, but maybe the geometry editor could help you create the ever-popular men in armor peeing and pooping renders?

Before this gets too acrimonious - it's a fantasy. As others have said, you will see a lot of things like this in games and anime and certain schools of illustration. Of course you can also have fantasie in which the armour is more or less inspired by real historical armour, or takes account of the weight of the materials, and that's also legitimate. By all means lobby for the latter, but please do it without attacking the former (or skimparmour) - different people have different tastes, different things that look cool and different things that break the suspension of disbelief.

It's OK rich. I am aware that it is fantasy and fantasy is just that, fantasy. Superman can fly and that was well accepted. I just felt sorry for this guy carrying all this heaviness around with him. But in fantasy world...maybe he has gills even and can breath under water....who knows. Just thought I would spark up the forum for fun. No offence taken here folks...after all...this is fantasy....right?.....wait....

I am sure all these authors and builders of this stuff would appreciate some opinions on making them better for sales. Whatcha think?

And I'm absolutely certain they wouldn't.

I'm surprised that any artist would think that feedback of the "I'm going to insult everything you've done, and then insist you guess exactly what I do want and make that instead" variety was anything other than completely and utterly useless. You haven't expressed one positive opinion or given a single actionable piece of advice.

There are a myriad of different choices for armour on the store. If you don't like this one, buy a different one. The artists aren't at your beck and call, and they will often want to make things for niches that you aren't interested in.

Matt, so let's everybody agree with it looks so good? What ever happened to rateing something for real? One of the problems today is nobody wants to say what they really feel out of FEAR of what everyone will THINK. Folks keep saying...."well if you don't like it, don't buy it."....well NO I wouldn't pay $25.00 for it, but that doesn't mean I have to not review it and say what I honestly feel. I don't like humouring people to that point. Sorry.

The armour is not my thing, but I thought it looked impressive. But the foot directly over the fire made me wince! I can understand why it's hot. I might wishlist it, but not something I think I'd use, but great for others. He'd have to come into my house sideways I think.

If he sneezes, he will jab his face in the three very pointy things around his neck...lol. Whats with that?....oh...I forgot....fantasy.

Not any more ridiculous than the renders of normal, boring everyday people doing every day things

I would only get it for kitbashing as it's not what I would use for my scenes, but it is amazingingly well done work. Gotta admire the PAs skills.

Great modeler! I am sure he could really do a great toned down version.

Two days and four pages with over 150 comments. Now, you see there. The author has a better idea of what folks want, like, dislike, and need. I hope this inspires him to do an awesome set next. I would want to know what folks really think....not just the same old..."aweeee, that's so cute.Nice work!" That doesn't help anyone grow to be better. So....

I didn't say that anyone had to agree that anything in the store looks good.
Still, if you want my frank opinion, I think that people complaining about products where they're clearly not the target audience is like plonking a speedboat on the Nurburgring and then standing on the back of it shouting loudly about how speedboats are completely useless for anything, look how rubbish this is, nobody would possibly buy one, I have no use for this, it's inconceivable that anyone could possibly find a use for this ... but you are allowed to dislike it.

To get on to what I actually said, it was that you were sorely mistaken about whether artists appreciate the kind of "feedback" you offered. Useful feedback is almost always of the form "I like it, but...". The opinions that matter on improving the product are those of the people who bought or almost bought it, not the people who wanted something completely different, because then it would have been an entirely different product.
