Long awaited non-complaint: Wheee... I finally have reached my goal of "games won" in Solitare. I've been playing Solitare on Win7 since I first had my Win7 machine. Never paid much attention to the statistics shown at the end of the game until about 4 years ago so I was playing pretty lousily. Since then I've been deliberately trying to improve my game which was at a miserable 10% ( 1 out of 10 hands). Once I started actively observing the cards and making reasonable moves and not giving up on first reaching the end, I improved relatively quickly but I soon realized that after 14% I was approaching the tail end of an asymptotic curve. Advancing my winning percentage was getting harder and harder. About two years ago I finally reached 15%. My next goal was 16% which I passed about 6 months ago. I then decided that I wanted the satisfaction of winning 1 out of 6 hands which would be 16.66666... %. Today, I reached it. Yay! Another useless goal achieved. I submit the proof.

I don't know how you did that but I find many many games completely unwinnable. Like, they are dead in their tracks within 10 -15 moves. All possibilities tried. Are you using a "novice" switch? If not, then I bow to your superior skill or luck.

I noticed that the game on Windows10 can be specified to deal only winnable hands. But I thought that the Win7 version was "pseudo" random. But after watching the games play out night after night I'm beginning to believe that they have a cycle from easy to impossible, .... that sort of randomly completes a cycle in about 8 to 10 hands. I feel gratified that I can average out to win 1 in 6.

Nope. No novice switch. The only difference is that I am using the 'Draw One' option and you are using the 'Draw Three' option. I think the Draw One option may be easier to win.

at one point they had given me access 2007. i had started a db conversion with it.

found excel 64 bit can grab table data from 32 bit access. was able to paste the fresh data into the 2007 db to make new backend data files for access.
can connect 64 bit access to it
now if i can print barcodes from it, i can be happy. Lol

Ah, that may be the case. Many times I can see the card I need but it's procedurally out of reach because of the three card draw even if I backtrack and try creatively navigating a different sequence to bring the card to the top. This is what retirement is about, having the time to play at honing one's skills to try to accomplish yet another meaningless goal.

Come to think of it, almost my entire career was a meaningless gesture. Sure I kept computers running, designed communication protocols and techniques, designed operating systems, attempted to teach a few others to do the same, but anything I ever created or managed is now scrap on the junkheap of time, and I never found a pupil that grasped half what I was trying to teach. luv their music but Don Dokken is hard to watch in greater than 4 second doses. can never remember < greater?

Chicks come from cardboard boxes with holes in the top. Seen it lots of times on TV.

Non-complaint: My A/C is working OK today. I'm cool and comfortable. Outside it's been rainy most of the day and it must be really humid out there because my kitchen window is fogged up on the outside. Somedays it pays to not open the door even once.

Gorilla costumes are good for any ocassion.

The character is more of a elf/druid so a natury outfit is kind of what I'm looking for. My elves don't have super eye gouging ears.

I have a fierce naked version of her with markings on her skin but you know... naked... so can not post.

They probably are, depending of the initial order of the cards. Should be testable writing an algorithm, though it would probably be pretty complex (more complex than the game itself I imagine).
