    sub complaint: my first attempt to convert genesis 3 clothes to 8 was not entirely successful.

    The last two are useless.  Nothing is equal to NULL but NULL.  NULL is nothing.  Not zero, just nothing at all.  It doesn't exist.  Therefore it can't be less than or greater than anything, not even zero.  NULL has no value at all.  As for the expressions, it depends on the programming language you're using, but those first two expressions seem fairly common.

    fubar = fooled up beyond any repair (where fooled replaces a word I must not write here). It appears that it originally came from furchtbar (German for dreadfull).

    Apparently I need to be connected to a WiFi for my DIM to work.  I was trying to log in to my DIM but it would not work.  Then I checked my internet source.  It said I was still connected to train WiFi so I had to turn off WiFi and turn it back then connect to the correct WiFi for DIM to work.

    What does WiFi mean?

    Doh... I wrote that last post about an hour ago... I thought I sent it...

    So, instead of soldering the copper pipes, which I determined it was too humid for,I decided to grill pork chops... 

    but on the bright side, it started to rain while I was grilling.

    The hard lemonade made the drizzling less annoying...

    I always assumed it either meant “Wireless Fiction”... because Sci-Fi stands for Scientifical Fiction and we all know that even though you aren’t actually wired to the internet, there are lots of actual wire involved in the internet, so to say one is truly wireless, would be fiction... or it stood for “Finklewaves” which are the primary carriers of internet particles and cat pictures.

    It’s more like being in a hot bulldog’s mouth right now... A warm bulldog... not a sexy bulldog. I had to clarify that because of a prior misunderstanding once.

    Existence is overrated.  Imaginary Rolls Royces work just fine in my dreams.

    I have a similar philosophy about beautiful, unique and unaffordable items I see in stores.  I just pretend that I own the item but I'm letting the vendor display it to the public for me.indecision  And I drop in to the store once in a while to look at my item.  When it's no longer in the store I assume that it has found a good home and many many people had a chance to see my precious item.

    Ah, that may be the case.  Many times I can see the card I need but it's procedurally out of reach because of the three card draw even if I backtrack and try creatively navigating a different sequence to bring the card to the top.  This is what retirement is about, having the time to play at honing one's skills to try to accomplish yet another meaningless goal.frown

    Come to think of it, almost my entire career was a meaningless gesture. 

    Well now, that is not true, and you know it.  How do you know it?  Because somebody thought your work was important enough to pay you for it.  This was important in the time that it was needed by the people who needed it.  

    In the big scheme of things, it really does not matter if your work left some sort of a "legacy".  If it did matter to you, I think you would have gone into something else, like maybe carving statues for money, writing books for money, teaching (for money, as a profession to people who were PAYING for it).   Just about the only thing you can do to leave a long lasting legacy (and not get paid for it) is raising kids.

    Think about it:  George Lucas, by some accounts only a so-so storyteller, wrote a little story about some kid on a godforsaken desert planet.  The kid learns an ancient martial art, goes to war, and makes good by saving the galaxy from certain ruin.  Then he made a film about it with a bunch of actors who, for some unknown reason, decided they could brave the desert heat during production. 

    And then a bunch of people PAID to see it.

    F'd Up Beyond All Recognition.
    First heard it in the Army, usually when a Hudson High* Lieutenant tried to do something hands-on.
    Learned in College Criminal  Justice class that F*** started as a courtroom term for rape because the phrase "Forced Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" was improper for use in the courtroom. It gave people the vapors, or something.
    About as credible as anything else heard in college, I guess.

    IBad day, good computer tech. I tried to clone an SSD, and my computer wouldn't boot up afterwards. Not even the boot menu. Power on, fans spin, perpetual black screen. Took it to the shop, tech told me that my expensive motherboard had fried. He called up Amazon, we chose a better (still expensive) one and ordered it for me, with zero markup. Then asked if I wanted him to install it! Will (should) have computer back Tuesday. More PCIe slots, more SATA connections, now I can have more internal storage!
    Would have installed new board myself, but he'll reinstall Win7 Pro for me, just in case it needs fine tuning.
    Told me this was the third motherboard he'd seen fried right after use of Acronis to clone a drive. I'd used it before to clone an SSD for my laptop. Oh, well.

    If it weren't for the thunderstorms, I would have taken a week away from Studio to tour on my motorcycle. Poor timing. But Autumn is coming!

    Should not be possible for software to damage a motherboard unless it is messing with the BIOS in ways it should not do, but I doubt that a company like Acronis would do that. Can't find anything on google about Acronis and fried boards either.

    First Complaint for Friday: Hair is the cause of many of my rendering failures. Hair styles do not be conducive to poses other than upright.

    Note to Self: Rotate Sets!

    Strike that... it won't work... I growl at thee hair... grrr grrr grr

    Are you checking the morphs? Also, dForms are your friend - especially combined with weight maps

    Yes, checking the morphs, checking them twice... gonna find... wait... wrong job...

    I'm still learning my way around. I'll add dForms and weight maps to my to do list. (Yesterday I learned how to make a harrowing hall of mirrors.) [All the images so far have been nudes so I can't share my madness...]

    My big thing right now is to put every outfit on my models and decide I don't have a thing to wear... I mean my models don't have a thing to wear... I haven't found the Genesis 3 to RL tutorial yet.
