I actually think they're kind of cute, though I agree they certainly aren't newborns. I think the main problem is their chins, they're waaaaay too big. But some dial spinning could do wonders, it's a decent base to start with.
And Ella is precious! And her newborn morph is much closer to the real thing.
Have to wishlist for now, but hopefully I can get at least the girl baby and Ella eventually.
Speaking of which, is a PA going to create some stretch-mark morphs for the mouths of the poor kids who have to nurse from some of the more extreme DAZ ladies?
You read my mind. A lot of newborns just look like angry old men who are already fed up with the world. lol
Ha ha ha. I am going to bed fearing nightmares about babies eating strange stuff that makes their heads swell and their knees and legs wrinkle and distort like they've been drinking soda for 40 years. Goodnight . Sleep tight and don't let the Daz babies bite. Yum.. YUM...YUM-YUM--GULP. Two Hi-cups followed closely by a loud burp. (Smells like a twin to me).
yes you can dial in other things.... just keep the percentage kind of low.
Prices are correct, there are two bundles in the grouping.
Not newborns. Not at all. But, yeah, babies. Or at least usable facsimiles. If you think you're ever going to need one, there are these, Sixus 1's baby, and Baby Luna over on Hivewire. And As stated Oskarsson's is still available. And given past performance, these will probably be it until something like Genesis 12.
Of the lot, these seem to be best equiped with clothing and props. I don't think I've seen this many baby clothes in one place since gen3.
The Baby Accessories are only a couple of headbands, 2 bibs, a pair of socks, and some booties - the price of $134.95 can't be correct. According to the timeline price history of the product it looks like it's meant to be $14.95. So it looks like an additional 3 got added accidentally: https://www.daz3d.com/baby-accessories-for-genesis-8
Also, the Baby Accessories are inside the Bundle of Joy Baby Bundle, so it doesn't make sense for them to be the same price as the entire bundle that they're in.
Yeah to me these babies are just plain scary looking..
Wow... gonna have to see what others can do with it before I even think of geting it, I don't have much use for baby characters, but my first impression of them is creeped out to be honest.
Tika 8 is listed as a supported shape for Fox Kigurama. If you have no need for a baby, don’t worry, we will be back to your regularly scheduled DAZ female in no time.
Well, the base babies are horrible but Ella is cute and I wonder how it would look with some Thone/Handspan morphs added in or some 3DU characters... I think this could be an interesting add to the gene pool, but as is, is kind of horrifying!
Accessories product reported as not a bundle. https://www.daz3d.com/baby-accessories-for-genesis-8

curious how this looks without the baby
dForce Onesie for Genesis 8 - Onesie as a name for a baby suit is a resistered trademark of Gerber. There is no mention of it being licensed by Gerber so I am guessing no one at DAZ realised this?
https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-onesie-for-genesis-8
I wondered about that too.
I had to check, it’s actually Onesies with the pluralThey're still a step up from the Mil 3 baby (that one was really scary). These ones look ok (not newborn but still baby) but as mentioned above, the skin looks off on the bases (kinda plastic) - maybe fiddling with the settings would help. Ella looks a lot better in that regard.
Still - lots of addons for them which gives them more usefulness.
Can't afford them now anyway but looking forward to the renders.
From Gerber's website - "The Onesies® trademark, or any confusingly similar variation thereof (e.g., “Onesie” or “Onezees”), may not be used as a generic descriptor or a noun; it should be used only as an adjective, when referring to the Onesies® brand by Gerber®"

Baby Caryn "out of the box":
And if they're supposed to be "newborns," what's with showing them standing... and roller-skating?! All I could think when I saw them was "helloooooooooooo uncanny valley."
I'd love to get a fairly realistic, CUTE infant, but I'm not convinced it's possible with anything but a standalone figure.
Will probably take a couple of weeks off till the boom is over...
Somebody please make a 50% G8 baby/50% mr Woo render
Odd request, but ok - I'm game. lol
First one is Tobyn 50% Mr Woo 50% with Tobyn's mats.
Second one is Tobyn 50% Mr Woo 50% with Mr Woo's mats.
I'll leave them small as attachments because they're disturbing imo. lol
Actually, the first one isn't too bad, just looks like an angry chubby kid to me. haha
I bet that baby boy has no pee-pee, right?
Very disappointed. Mil Baby 3 is still the best of the kids and babies. These ones have wildly baggy-wrinkled legs and arms, their faces are too old and unnatural, just not cute. Maybe for a horror movie... too creepy oitherwise. Sorry guys, love that you made the effort but the results are way off base, for me.... and - newborn???? In what world? lolol!
Agree, that second one is weird to the max!
Underimpressed, for all the reasons others have articulated. Those aren't newborns, they are closer to a year old. The Sixus 1, Oskarsson & Luna babies don't have newborn morphs either. :( I suppose the Sixus 1, Oskarsson & G8 babies could be morphed & scaled?
